It is the adoption of a quasi non-dual view that makes Liber Null of interest to me as a workable system. Insight into non-duality clarifies the difference between the dream-like world of duality, and the sharp clarity of the non-dual. With an appreciation of the difference between these two it isn't difficult to choose almost any model of reality (all of which are necessarily "dual") and carry a "soft-belief" (or "hold reality lightly", as my late Tibetan teacher would say) about the world that makes working within that belief system possible. The other aspect is that there must be an avenue for a particular working to appear in the world for you, so if you want a visit from a god, or ancestor, a dream is a common way for them to appear. Another way might be as an entry in a book you are randomly looking at or, in my case, in a vision, since I already have visions regularly. Being able to summon the HGA already connected with a dream I recall having as a teen about meeting a "Guardian Angel", so it seemed somewhat possible already. The stack as I look at it is a s simple as: Choose a working of some sort, with emphasis on it being something that has a place to come to fruition. My experience is that requests that ask for insight, or benefit large groups of people as well as yourself tend to get more traction tha purely selfish motives. I have never requested anything with dark motives. Devise a way to symbolically connect to it, or at its most simple just ASK genuinely, or from a place of surrender what you want to appear. Adopt a belief system that you can at least partially accept that would make the vehicle, space where it appears and outcome seem actually possible. Invoke without attachment to outcome. Refrain from dwelling on the request or outcome in your daily life going forward. Long before I tried the HGA working, I was already doing this- asking for a certain kind of place to live, or the financial reality that would allow me to relax, or certain kinds of relationships, or jobs... probably not always without attachment. In all cases these requests MOSTLY materialized, but this relative reality has a sense of humor. You might imagine that you want a house with a fireplace, but get one with a GAS fireplace. You might as for a certain type of car to appear, but find it isn't in a color you think you want. This sort of magic has nothing to do with beliefs or traditions, etc. in my opinion. I find that ALL of my students that adopt a "bodhisattva" attitude, and regular meditation practice tend to have an easier, more bountiful and more relaxed/happy life to the degree that they keep it up, work to drop their attachments and aversions, and BELIEVE that they can actively be of benefit to the happiness of others in the world. Mind and Matter -Erwin Schrodinger Chapter 4: Oneness Of Mind https://archive.org/details/mindmatter0000schr/page/52/mode/2up When you go and read the actual German and translate it directly: It translates to something like: the total number of all "consciousnesses" is always just "one".

< sniff sniff > ... I smell something suspect here . I did enjoy reading it but then decided to check one random statement - the claim about what Erwin Schrodinger said ; '' "The total number of minds in the universe is one. In fact, consciousness is a singularity phasing within all beings." - who said this ? AI says Schrodinger . But if you put the question the other way around and ask if Schrodinger actually did say it ? ''No, the exact quote is not from Erwin Schrödinger, although he did write similar ideas in his philosophical essays, particularly Mind and Matter. He wrote, "The total number of minds in the universe is one" and that "consciousness is never experienced in the plural, only in the singular". However, the popular version includes the phrase "In fact, consciousness is a singularity phasing within all beings," which is not a direct quote. '' ... 'cause there aint no such thing as a 'singularity phasing ' or the person who made the quote up used bad punctuation https://skeptics.stackexchange.com/questions/47487/did-erwin-schrödinger-say-there-is-only-one-mind-in-the-universe I found the passage in his writing that relates to this, in a way ... although it does not say this - he also said ''This is religion not science . '' (he was an Advaita Hindu ) - I wont be checking the rest .... a shame the author didnt do more research (it took me 12 seconds to check ) because now his whole article is suspect .

Don't bother, he likely doesn't have a source he can state like that (especially not a public one anyone can download or buy), and either way I have a funny feeling I'm going to quickly get results with Flying Phoenix Qigong (I was kind of planning to do it first even before making this thread, and that's why it was mentioned in my main post). So whether I get more formatted responses or not, I'm satisfied for now. One of the reasons why I asked those questions and requested that format was to filter out the responses that wouldn't give me clear guidance. If I just make the typical "give me your recommendation" thread I'd get dozens of responses that are mostly all just a wild goose chase and I wouldn't have enough time to properly test all of them anways. I mean, this sounds exactly like Flying Phoenix Chi Kung (only qigong training I've seen so far that outlines specific breathing formulas for each exercise). So even by your definition it's a good place to start. It also has a clear progression in the training.

Blue Pill = The Bible is the script for our fake reality show run by an invisible, BDSM dungeonmaster. Red Pill = The Ultimate Nature Of Reality is a fractal hallucination of our unified, non-dimensional awareness.

I'd say our mind aspect is dual and may know duality very well, namely down to the finest points but not non-duality which is beyond such...thus certain methods or certain masters can not force their way or their students to the "beyond" or past the threshold reached by wholesome practice, good fortune and balanced karma (which granted is extremely important) and then nail same down with the mind aspect. For That which can "know" without a shred of doubt already is and knows beyond regular knowing that can not be added to or taken away from or found in the mind aspect.

Thanks for the reminder. I have some pains in right arm due to computer work so that meditation is a good remedy for that. This time I could also sense an unblocking of the heart while doing the meditation.

Is it really so hard for you guys to just answer @PestiferMundi’s questions in the format that he asked?

Well, I'm glad that you are impressed. However, that is not what I want to hear from you. I thought you might ask how did you condition yourself to get to this point? I can tell you right now. You may looking for answer about Qigong. It is because people are telling you the same old thing. Like in the past and this thread. BTW There is one thing that was never mentioned to you. Hence, that is why you are standing at where you are now. I am where I am right now is not from coincidence. I had learned how to practice Qigong from the Chinese literature that had never told in the west. Even if it did, the westerners did not want to hear it. Unfortunately, they like to tell it the way they wanted to as people love to hear it and pay for it. I think that is why you are here asking all these questions and gone nowhere.

Not too much out of the ordinary recently, but one tip I can give is if you have sore and achy arms, the third seated warm up meditation on Vol 2 is really helpful for that!

To KNOW rather than merely BELIEVE. If a phenomena can be explained by other things then you are just left with belief and there's always room for seeds of doubt. If the phenomena can't explained by other things and it's undeniably the result of whatever you are testing, then you don't have belief, you have knowledge at that point, and there is no room for doubt. I don't want to believe qi is real, I want to know it's real. From there, that's where true experimentation can begin. If you can't distinguish reality from self delusion, then you can't really test anything because you don't have a baseline.

One aspect of Liber Null that resonated with me was the use of laughter. Do other magical systems incorporate anything like this, or is it specific to Chaos Magic? It’s amazing how liberating laughter can be. Quote: Consider laughter: it is the highest emotion, for it can contain any of the others from ecstasy to grief. It is its own opposite. Crying is merely an underdeveloped form of it which cleanses the eyes and summons assistance to infants. Laughter is the only tenable attitude in a universe which is a joke played upon itself. The trick is to see that joke played out even in the neutral and ghastly events which surround one. It is not for us to question the universe’s apparent lack of taste. Seek the emotion of laughter at what delights and amuses, seek it in whatever is neutral or meaningless, seek it even in what is horrific and revolting. Though it may be forced at first, one can learn to smile inwardly at all things.

If your goal was to prove europeans influenced china during that time. 1st step is to establish some type of precedent. Lost roman legion in china might help with this. But if we're being honest, I think the actual influence occurred in the opposite direction. China had developed mercury based immortality elixirs long before europeans attempted to mimic these trends with their own mercury based philosopher's stones, etc.
