The u.s. is a little different in that it's going through a stage where the vaunted multiculturalism is actually working against itself.

Each group trying to get as much as the free stuff as possible.

Disagreed-

Multiculturalism ( where the groups are intentionally held distinct within the whole )  is not really the American ideal. Our method has become.. melting pot -ism, where the idea is voluntary assimilation into a culture that accepts various nationalities under the same umbrella. We easily find common ground as human beings  , we all want good schools for the kids , jobs , free speech , voting rights ,, etc .

That is a thing they have to actively try to overcome.

It is the Dems who are trying to parse out groups from the whole by offering bribes, to dissuade Americans away  from the Nationalist movement ,in which we collectively work together to ensure the rights liberties and benefits of all being American citizens.

In Capitalism , one gives in order to get, ( I give labor , so I get money from my employer. ) Socialism, loosens this relationship so that ones economic merits do not serve them, merit (or lack of it) , resides in the decisions of the power structure.

Paying people for having dark skin , from the efforts of those who have light skin , is inherently divisive , and the merit ( or lack of it) resides in the decisions of the state ( or tech giant ) .

The Dems wish to profit by dividing the people , vilifying,-  identity groups , political parties , by skewing our common cause.

Wot?? Where did that come from? Is that even a thing in America? Or has American capitalism been largely functioning and reaping the rewards therein, the other way round all this time? At least thats how it seems to be in most countries that are immigrant-dependent.

You say the Dems wish to profit in a way to suggest that the other side is somehow more magnanimous and ethical? Im not so sure if thats even on point.

Records Obtained by the ACLJ Show Clapper’s ODNI Rushed to Change Raw SIGINT Sharing Rules Before President Trump’s Inauguration

The American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) obtained records that show that the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), under Director James Clapper, was eager and actively pushing to get its new procedures in place increasing access to raw signal intelligence before the conclusion of the Obama Administration and before President Trump took office. The documents the ACLJ obtained in one of our Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuits – this one against the ODNI and the National Security Agency (NSA) – confirmed what we suspected: the ODNI rushed to get the new “procedures signed by the Attorney General before the conclusion of this administration.”

The documents also reveal that ODNI’s Robert Litt told Office of the Undersecretary of Defense’s Director of Intelligence Strategy, Policy, & Integration (and also USDI’s Liaison to ODNI): “Really want to get this done . . . and so does the Boss.” And, documents produced to the ACLJ by the NSA in this lawsuit show that NSA officials discussing that they “could have a signature from the AG as early as this week, certainly prior to the 20th Jan.” In other words, certainly before President Trump’s Inauguration. It was not immediately clear just how significant these revelations were. Now we know and these records must be publicized.

Consider what we now know about the nature and degree of Deep State opposition to President Trump. With the public revelations about the infamous disgrace known as the Steele dossier, FISA abuse and the underpinnings of Crossfire Hurricane, as well as former-DNI James Clapper’s open hostility to President Trump and intentional leaking by senior law enforcement and intelligence actors – all of which appears to show a coordinated effort across agencies to oppose the Trump Administration – the picture is coming in to focus. As part of the ACLJ’s government accountability project and FOIA practice, we went to work to uncover everything we could about the embedded “resistance” operating within our government. In this particular instance, it concerned us when we heard that, according to the New York Times, n its final days, the Obama administration has expanded the power of the National Security Agency to share globally intercepted personal communications with the government’s 16 other intelligence agencies before applying privacy protections.” On December 15, 2016, after President Trump’s election, DNI James Clapper executed a document entitled “Procedures for the Availability or Dissemination of Raw Signals Intelligence Information by the National Security Agency Under Section 2.3 of Executive Order 12333.” On January 3, 2017, then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch executed the document, indicating her approval. Elements of the Intelligence Community are authorized to collect, retain, or disseminate information concerning United States persons only in accordance with procedures established by the head of the Intelligence Community element concerned or by the head of a department containing such element and approved by the Attorney General, consistent with the authorities provided by Part 1 of this Order, after consultation with the Director.

U.S. Prosecutors Join Multi-national Crackdown on Insider Trading

U.S. Prosecutors Join Multi-national Crackdown on Insider Trading

Probe focuses on group of traders in Europe and Middle East. Geneva-based trader was extradited to U.S. from Serbia in May.

U.S. prosecutors are investigating an international network of traders suspected of infiltrating banks and companies to glean confidential information on mega-deals, according to people familiar with the matter.

The probe by prosecutors at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York is focusing on a group of stock pickers in Europe and the Middle East who have made tens of millions of dollars trading ahead of media reports about takeover talks or merger announcements by companies, according to the people, who asked not to be identified because the matter isn’t public. The investigation is part of a years-long multinational effort, with U.S., U.K. and French prosecutors operating on parallel tracks.

The first hint of U.S. involvement came in November, when authorities in Serbia arrested one of the suspects, a Geneva-based trader, on a U.S. warrant that alleged he had committed securities fraud. He was extradited to the U.S. in May, according to Tatjana Pesic, a court spokeswoman in Belgrade. Dawn Dearden, a spokeswoman for Manhattan U.S. Attorney Geoffrey Berman, declined to comment.

The suspects appear to belong to a loose ring of more than a dozen traders spread out across London, Paris, Geneva, Dubai and other cities. Investigators suspect them of cultivating advisers, executives, lawyers and government officials with cash and gifts, the people said. These potential sources of confidential information are also being examined, they said.

U.S. prosecutors are scrutinizing the traders’ use of the media, a crucial part of their strategy, according to the people familiar with the probe. By passing on tips to financial news organizations, including Bloomberg News, the traders hoped to benefit from a pop in the stock price when reporters independently corroborated the tip and published the news, the people said.

The Justice Department probe is focusing on the traders’ conduct, including attempts to use the media for their purposes. The investigators have been reluctant to compel journalists to cooperate because of First Amendment protections, the people said.

Bloomberg News reporters talk to many people active in the market and regularly receive tips from both known and anonymous sources. The news organization’s policy is not to publish tips without confirming the information with people who have direct knowledge of the matter. The policy also prohibits telling sources when a story will be published.

Investigators believe the traders covered their tracks with the help of shell companies and complex financial instruments, the people said. They communicated on encrypted apps such as Telegram, Signal and WhatsApp with burner phones that they regularly changed or used on WiFi networks without Sim cards, the people said.

Some traders stayed at arm’s length from the operation and avoided trading on their own account, instead using associates, wealth managers and brokers to buy stock without a paper trail leading to them, the people said.

As with any investigation, the timing and outcome could change and there’s no guarantee the case will move forward, the people said.

U.S. prosecutors are sharing information with British and French investigators, the people said. They got a break when a lower-level member of the syndicate started cooperating with authorities, one of the people said. A spokeswoman for the U.K.’s Financial Conduct Authority declined to comment. A spokeswoman for France’s Parquet National Financier didn’t respond to a request for comment.

Meadows: Subpoenas sent to Mueller may be invalid

Meadows: Subpoenas sent to Mueller may be invalid

Rep. Mark Meadows said the subpoenas compelling former special counsel Robert Mueller to testify next month may be invalid. Reacting to news that Mueller agreed to testify about the Russia investigation, Meadows called the whole thing a "sham" orchestrated by Democrats to "harass" President Trump. "I just find it just unbelievable that here in Congress tonight, we find out about this on the House floor. They don't even go through normal protocol to let the minority know," the North Carolina Republican said Tuesday evening on Fox News. "They broke House rules. I'm not sure the subpoena is valid because you can't issue the same subpoena from two different committees of jurisdiction."

House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler and Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff announced Mueller's agreement to testify July 17 before an open joint session of their committees. The Democrats shared the letter they sent accompanying the subpoenas they each issued to Mueller. The Justice Department released Mueller's 448-page report with redactions in April, which showed his team did not establish any criminal conspiracy between the Russian government and the Trump campaign. Mueller also outlined 10 scenarios of possible obstruction in his report, but declined to make a determination about whether the president obstructed justice.

Although Trump and his allies say the case is closed, Democrats argue Mueller's refusal to clear Trump on obstruction provides them a road map to continue to investigate and possibly seek impeachment. Attorney General William Barr said he and former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein determined there was not sufficient evidence to establish a crime had occurred. In his only public appearance since being appointed special counsel, Mueller indicated he would not say anything that is not already evident in his 448-page report. "We chose those words carefully and the work speaks for itself and the report is my testimony. I would not provide information beyond that which is already public in any appearance before Congress," he said. Meadows said Mueller can expect to be "cross-examined for the first time, and the American people will start to see the flaws in his report."

Exclusive: Philadelphia Energy Solutions seeks to permanently shut oil refinery - sources

PHILADELPHIA (Reuters) - Philadelphia Energy Solutions (PES) is expected to seek to permanently shut its oil refinery in the city after a massive fire caused substantial damage to the complex, two sources familiar with the plans said on Tuesday. Shutting the refinery, the largest and oldest on the U.S. East Coast, would cost hundreds of jobs and squeeze gasoline supplies in the busiest, most densely populated corridor of the United States.

The refinery, which could still change its plans, is also expected to begin layoffs of the 700 union workers at the plant as early as Wednesday, the sources said. The layoffs could include about half of the union workforce, with the remaining staff staying at the site until the investigation into the blast concludes, the sources said. PES is expected to file a notice of intent with state and federal regulators as early as Wednesday, setting in motion the process of closing the refinery, the sources said. A spokesperson for Philadelphia Energy Solutions on Tuesday night declined to comment on the potential closure and layoffs.

The 335,000 barrel-per-day (bpd) complex, located in a densely populated area in the southern part of the city, erupted in flames in the early hours on Friday, in a series of explosions that could be heard miles away. The cause of the fire was unknown as of Tuesday, though city fire officials said it started in a butane vat around 4 a.m. (0800 GMT). It destroyed a 30,000-bpd alkylation unit that uses hydrofluoric acid to process refined products. Had the acid caught fire, it could have resulted in a vapor cloud that can damage the skin, eyes and lungs of nearby residents.

Before the fire, the refinery had suffered from years of financial struggles, forcing it to slash worker benefits and scale back capital projects to save cash. It went through a bankruptcy process last year to reduce its debt, but its difficulties continued as its cash on hand dwindled even after emerging from bankruptcy in August. After bankruptcy, Credit Suisse Asset Management and Bardin Hill became the controlling owners, with former primary owners Carlyle Group and Sunoco Logistics, an Energy Transfer subsidiary, holding a minority stake.

Workers were picking up large debris out of nearby waterways on Monday, according to pictures seen by Reuters, while other pictures showed the charred remains of control rooms and burned components. The blaze was the second in two weeks at the complex, spurring calls from Philadelphia’s mayor for a task force to look into both the cause and community outreach in the wake of the incidents. A spokesperson for Mayor Jim Kenney declined to comment on the potential closure of the plant. Investigators on the scene are dealing with unstable structures that need to be certified by engineers, slowing down the inquiry, city officials said. The investigation could ultimately take months or perhaps years, they said. The state Department of Environmental Protection said they have concerns about the integrity of storage tanks on site, the agency said on Tuesday. The U.S. Chemical Safety Board is also investigating the incident.

U.S. gasoline futures rose as much as 5.4% on Wednesday to $1.9787 a gallon, the highest since May 23. The front month price was at $1.945 at 0551 GMT. Futures are up 8.9% since Thursday’s close. The rally in U.S. gasoline futures has pushed U.S. gasoline prices above European and Asian markets, raising the prospects for U.S. imports. “Chances are that (the wider price spread) could open up the arbs between U.S. Gulf/Europe and PADD 1,” said Matthew Chew, principal oil analyst at IHS Markit, referring to the Petroleum Administration for Defense District (PADD) 1, the designation the U.S. government uses for the East Coast in its weekly oil storage report.

Reparations is on offer from the spendthrifts.

In a generation , or so, after coming here, ,, the kids going to the same schools and so forth , people tend to just see each other as peers foremost .

It took the Jim Crow laws to delay the trend , and within a generation of the sixties ( civil rights act)  , we had a black president BO .

Its the hate mongers like Al Sharpton , who try to keep telling everybody that they are being discriminated against., Meanwhile ..cops come in all shades , employers look at the bottom line firstly , laws have been agreed upon to try to fix the divisions.

While there are some who do still want to hold out on the trend , the current generation is quickly rejecting the attitudes of their parents.

And yes,  the conservative platform  is indeed more ethical , rational , and pragmatic.

For instance ,, you who are more liberal , is welcome to participate , argue your point , speak your peace , and get treated with common dignity when with conservatives.

Not so- the other way around .

I see various collections of facts, that really dont look too good for a certain collection of traitors

As to the other things, we'll just have to wait and see how it plays out.  Hilly & Obama and their accomplices in the treason will be dealt with, but whether the strings are pulled all the way to the central bankster roots is another matter.

and besides....you dont seem to understand the significance of Benghazi 2012,

reiterate that a few times, because once the good guys had full knowledge of what the clinton foundation was doing on the global scale...

its not just trump or the trump admin behind all of the actions that are taking place.  Trump may be the CEO of the operation but he's not the board of directors for it.

Q said the military was straight up prepared to do the unthinkable - coup the government back into the good guys' hands - if Hillary had succeeded in stealing the 2016 election.  if thats the case, I'm glad Trump is the option that came to reality, because the alternative would have been rather ugly.  (tb fair, he only said do the unthinkable, but context implied it.)

(I understand your sentiment, if the perception is there that all this background stuff remained unchanged)

Tonight, the fun begins, as the Dems realize that if they don't dominate in the debate with each other , they will be watching somebody else walk off with the nomination.

All those never -trumpers will just be handed away.

Meanwhile, they try to prevent beds 1000  for the detained migrants being sent to the border.

Why?

They want the kids sleeping on the concrete so they can blame those conditions on Trump!

Hey CT

Like Waters told them to.

What about a woman ...accusing Trump of having had sex with her in a store, 'but it wasn't sexy,, like rape would have been, '

,,in her opinion.

Then she hits on Anderson Cooper :)

Is this an example of the kind of dignified position of the Republicans that you touted above in explaining how liberals are welcomed to air their views here freely and without reservation? Republican ethics are somewhat of a new subject that Im trying to understand, and this feels like a good place to explore and learn.

If you are sincere in this quest for information then I suggest you watch Tucker Carlson on Fox every now and then. He is, in my opinion, well balanced and thoughtful. Alternately, you can watch the "Fireside Chat's" on Prager U. Dennis Prager is also an excellent example of well balanced conservative. Both of these men routinely have guests on the left visit their shows (in the case of Dennis Prager his radio show).

That's the amazing part, it's factually true !

They are trying to Prevent 1600 mattresses and 1000 beds from ameliorating conditions at the detention center.

They literally said, they do not want to improve conditions which would make the situation more acceptable.

And yes, you are still welcome to your view, but that doesn't mean I have to sacrifice mine either.

I presume you've played some sports, and understand that one can both, fight the fight and respect the foe,

In fact ,declining to play whole heartedly, is as cheap a shot as a dirty play.

From the reports i've just read, its clear that your claim has left out many pertinent details which give a truer picture of whats actually being negotiated, with both sides agreeing on many issues regarding humanitarian aid to the detention centres. So no, they did not literally say they do not want to improve conditions. Thats simply an inaccurate statement which has no basis in fact.

No one in the right mind should want to improve conditions in the detention centers. These so called "refugees" are pawns being used by wealthy internationalists to weaken the country.

The detention centers should be made as miserable as possible so much that word spreads so the pawns won't keep crossing the border.

And why people refuse to see it how it is is only because of willful ignorance.

I think their motivation for crossing the border will not be assuaged simply by the lack of proper facilities at detention centres, but its just a guess. Maybe you're right. Maybe they expect 4* facilities... who knows.

I saw the news clip showing one person asserting what I paraphrased and a second saying that it was wrong for anyone to profit by supplying the bedding.

While it would be fair to say that others have different opinions ,it is 1) at minimum it is an acceptable stance to more Dems than just them , and 2) it is just objective fact that they are opposing the beds being delivered.

What is this persuasive argument you imply, that these kids are better off sleeping on the concrete?

I just saw Ryan blaming the president for the conditions.

So

My statement was accurate and free of spin. Whereas You accused me of falsity, and implied a counterargument which you did not specify.

... Just now Beto Also decried the concrete beds, implying that the current admin is at fault.

If convicts and enemy prisoners can have beds, that is a bit too harsh a means, (to the end which I actually agree with,) ,dealing with these people , some desperate, and some innocent, and some guilty, but still fellow humans.
