They presented a United front, most of them just happy to serve as a backdrop for the eventual nominee.. afraid to stand out, afraid to decry the faults of their closest competitors. Maybe it will sink in over the next several months that they squandered the opportunity they had , by betraying the public, participating in the whitewash. Did Harris bring up the corruption of Biden ? No , not really, she wants someone else to do it. I only saw two of them do what they should ,over the two nights, Castro, and Delaney. They were the only two who didn't portray themselves as good little tools ,IMO. Would Trump not be fully prepared to hammer Pocahontas, or .03 percent DeBlasio? I also feel at some point it will either be broken up or highly regulated as a public utility which for many it's become. Trump, among other things is one of the few non politicians growing up in the media age who truly understands new and innovative ways of reaching his audience. I wonder as the President of the United States understanding this, how he will deal with the same platforms that he uses that are obviously biased against him and his administration. I'll give Harris credit for confronting Biden on a more emotional issue... the previous night, the hosts tried to get two folks (Debate #1) to comment on a Biden issue and both passed. Harris was not going to be 'mrs nice gal'. I think she did the right thing and it put her as a strong leader for the night... but emotionalism isn't a foreign policy strength. So while she showed some guts for confronting domestic issues important for many, she doesn't come across as capable of clear thinking in a foreign crisis. Biden slurred and hesitated once too many times... reminds me of HRC and Pelosi when they just lose their thought and you're not sure where they are. He is the old guard and his remedy is to bring back all of Obama's policies... that were shown to bring Trump in. He needs to step aside while he can still walk a straight line. Bernie still has the burn. I was loosely impressed with his firestorm approach, likely yelling more than Biden. But his socialist position may also be his undoing. Mayor Pete impressed me the most during D#2; he was consistent throughout the night, articulate and honest (admitted failing on an item). I have more respect for him. Swalwell once again (did this in tweeter) brought up his changing diapers in his closing comments... he needs to get off the stage and go back to the diapers. Williamson... was she paid to come on and be a provocator... it was an interesting side-show at times... first call as president to New Zealand? Never saw that coming. The two guys from Colorado gave up interesting state records and thoughts on what to do... but they are too much of nice guys to get far in debates. Good ideas don't go very far... which is what Williamson was trying to say too. Gillibrand kept trying to convince everyone Jedi Style that she was the One who could do it all... yawn... Yang was articulate... and then shared his idea to give $1,000 a month to everyone over 18 years old, no questions asked... that seems as stupid as O-Care, Universal care, free tuition, etc. The lack of foreign policy topics, the Maddox's conspiracy questions, the Dem's belief that the next chosen president is the last to fix stuff... shows how much this felt more like a circus than a serious round of discussions. And the DNC said Fox was unfit to host They should of had three debates as both were incredibly unfair with questions going to a few. So a very poorly done debate format and hosting chooses. BTW: Trump did a fist bump to the leader of Japan and India in a three-way picture take... and the headline is, Trump is up-ending global order Yea, let's keep debating meaningless stuff and refuse to explain how to pay for any of it.
