ronko Posted June 8, 2013 I understand the way you guys are doing it and I totally agree , just want to get started straight away though ! hehe I also appreciate that you are not marketing it and trying to get sales , you are taking the time to check who is wanting to learn and be a part of this lineage which can only mean total respect from me in this commercial and consumeristic age. Â I could have made alot of cash musically but I wouldnt change my sound after various labels signed me and tried to alter my music , I really did tell them to feck off! haha Im poor but I have my virtues in place in that area : )

Warrior Body Buddha Mind Posted June 9, 2013 If someone cannot sit still in silence there is no way they will stand or move in silence....The SYG paths the way for each level!

ronko Posted June 13, 2013 Hey Sifu Garry Yes I will give it some time before I post about it but I will definitely let you know once I begin to get a better understanding. Did the 1st sitting medi yesterday and had some strange old things going on all night when I was trying to sleep ! haha
ronko Posted June 13, 2013 (edited) So I just went through the full set of vol 1 seated meds for the first time, I know we are meant to learn them one by one but couldnt resist giving them all a try going along with the dvd. Â The main thing I noticed on my first run through is the meds seem to start off very grounded , very earthed in Dan tien , Then for me , from meditation 3 the energy seemed to go to a more heavenly vibration , which is also explained on the dvd by Sifu Garry explaining when the palms are open this brings in heavenly energy. Â Meditation 4 was very heart centered , again raising the energy and number 5 seemed to be a combination of dan tien and heaven , yin and yang combined. The last one , which is the same posture as monk gazing at moon but different breath percentages seems to have opened all the energy up and gave a little glimpse into the void. Â This is what it felt like for me anyways ! hehe For a first run through with say 5 mins a med this was a very nice taster of what to look forward too ! Warrior Body Buddha Mind Posted June 14, 2013 Awesome and spot on about how the meds start grounded and work upwards, I explain in the nw seated series that its like a roller coaster as your energy opens up, then you come back down and back up with different hand postures to move & cultivate energy in certain areas for healing yourself etc. Â Nice quick breakdown...thankyou for your thoughts
Warrior Body Buddha Mind Posted June 14, 2013 I had a great experience during the filming of the 2nd seated practice where I start swaying & shaking was really intense, this intense heat came over me then into coolness feeling. Cant wait to see where this takes you, you seem to already resonate with SYG, great stuff!
ronko Posted June 14, 2013 Sifu Garry , Cool to hear about your experiences ! I can only imagine the places you have went with all your training in this Im glad I was in tune with the meds , wasnt sure if it was just me or not ! hehe  I just did a long seated session of med 1 then went through them all and I found number 5 is the one that seems to kick the spontaneous shakes and sways off in me , my right hand at the dan tien was all over the place ! haha Love it when you get to number 3 and it feels like everything just opens up !  I find it crazy how the the last med feels totally different to monk gazing at moon even though its the same posture ???  By the way if you ever need any music let me know
Warrior Body Buddha Mind Posted June 15, 2013 Yeh many things have happened during the SYG, and even to my students but the objective is to enjoy what you are doing, cultivate the mind and Qi, nurture the spirit though this beautiful art.
tao stillness Posted June 18, 2013 Sifu Garry, can we do any of the SYG 1. meds more than once a day? Or is it one and done? Steve
Antares Posted June 19, 2013 The more the better! I do SYG 3 times. Plus FP once. Â I realized something what was doing wrong before. I mixed BFP with another stuff! I think this is such a disrespect to the lineage and egoistic approach. But we have to open the heart to the system we do. Â But I hope FP is good with SYG! I gonna do moving long forms from vol. 3 and 4 only once a day. I did taichi until now and I think what a f...ck to do it if there is so cool forms in FP!

tao stillness Posted June 19, 2013 Sifu Garry, I am a seasoned meditator having done Transcendental Meditation, TM, daily for the past 39 years and I have been doing the meditation number one of SYG 1. for 3 days but as yet I do not feel anything from it, it does not give me any sense of being in that deeply relaxed state of mind and body that I get from meditation. I also do not feel any chi yet from it. But I always feel strong chi in the hands from all of the Flying Phoenix meds. What is your assessment of this? I realize my nervous system just might take longer to register this new energy? Steve
