I also avoid animals in terms of intelligence, ie I avoid people, dolphins, chimps, elephants, parrots.. in favor of dumber animals.. people, fish, foul etc.,

Hope you don't avoid your self.

I eat meat to sustain myself and I have no problem killing an animal to feed myself.

I would chase away / kill an animal to defend myself.

Ants don't take hints well, so they learn by example: die in my kitchen, be prosperous is my garden.

But then you havent considered the wider implications of making a deuce on the toilet, thereby flushing those precious and innocent seeds away with their chance of being disseminated. Or perhaps you go in the woods and thereby voided my playful comeback?

very good   B)

Thing is I take care of my waste ; I made my own dry composting toilet, the compost goes out into the forest .

(You could also have suggested that most of the fruit I would eat has sterile seeds anyway , the fruit being produced by hybrid trees in a prison orchard .  ;) )

I’m a vegetarian since 18 years now, but i stopped being strict with it a few years back. Not because i feel bad for animals (i do!), but because i hate veggies and want to hurt them with my teeth.

How about saying something like this...

I am part of the circle of life.  Just as I kill this ant, another creature may one day kill me.  Death comes for us all.  Knowing that I am not separate from life, not separate from the Tao, I will not hold myself apart from it.  I gratefully surrender to the flow of life in all its squalid majesty.  I am this flow.  This ant that I kill is this flow, too.  In every moment both of us are continually dying and continually reborn. We are that which dies and that which can never die -- and eternity pierces through every passing moment.

Thanks .... I will say that next time I pour petrol down their nest and torch it .

or maybe make a tiny prayer wheel and write it on it  and stick it in the ground next to the nest .

I’ll usually try to move them instead of kill them. But if I have to kill them, I say a silent prayer for them (om mani padme hum)

What do you say before you eat breakfast/lunch/dinner?

And the angel of the lord came unto me snatching me up from my place of slumber.

And took me on high and higher still until we moved to the spaces betwixt the air itself.

And he brought me into a vast farmlands of our own midwest.

And as we descended cries of impending doom rose from the soil.

One thousand nay a million voices full of fear. And terror possessed me then.

And I begged "Angel of the Lord what are these tortured screams?"

And the angel said unto me, "These are the cries of the carrots, the cries of the carrots!

You see, Reverend Maynard, tomorrow is harvest day and to them it is the holocaust."

And I sprang from my slumber drenched in sweat like the tears of one million terrified brothers and roared,

"Hear me now, I have seen the light!

They have a consciousness, they have a life, they have a soul!

Damn you!

Let the rabbits wear glasses! Save our brothers!"

Can I get an amen?

Can I get a hallelujah?

Thank you Jesus.

Life feeds on life feeds on life feeds on life feeds on........

This is necessary.

It was daylight when you woke up in your ditch. You looked up at your sky then. That made blue be your color. You had your knife there with you too. When you stood up there was goo all over your clothes. Your hands were sticky. You wiped them on your grass, so now your color was green. Oh Lord, why did everything always have to keep changing like this. You were already getting nervous again. Your head hurt and it rang when you stood up. Your head was almost empty. It always hurt you when you woke up like this. You crawled up out of your ditch onto your gravel road and began to walk, waiting for the rest of your mind to come back to you. You can see the car parked far down the road and you walked toward it. "If God is our Father," you thought, "then Satan must be our cousin." Why didn't anyone else understand these important things? You got to your car and tried all the doors. They were locked. It was a red car and it was new. There was an expensive leather camera case laying on the seat. Out across your field, you could see two tiny people walking by your woods. You began to walk towards them. Now red was your color and, of course, those little people out there were yours too.

Say BAD bug, EVIL bug, and then smash it with the palm of your hand.  That's what one of my teachers who was a Zen master used to do.

I usually say:

You Killed my master,

dishonored my family,

& made fun of my ponytail,

Now You Must Die!!
