The "Mind" that is not quiet is in Trance - the trance of your habituations: Imagine that instead of just your one personal phone, tablet and computer - you had 10,000 of them. It is tough for many to put down just 3 of these for a day or two - but imagine 10,000 of them and you are always using one or 100 of them with a tension extended to all of them all of the time. This is the state of "Mind" - this is Waking Sleep - this is constant Trance - this is the illusion, the cloud, the veil. It is all the things you like, don't like, believe in - and definitely do not believe in - it is every diversion you have a proclivity too and hold dear or resist. The fickle flighty Timbuktu of me-ness that you happen to be played by. It is relatively easy to give up hatchet murdering and picking your nose in public - but this is not the greater thick trance cloud of mesmerizing sleep - its far more the positions of little things and things "you are certain of" and about which you identify yourself. Try: I Awareness I cognition "I am" can be taken as possessive - the root of the sleep Move to just your Awareness - to the center of the head - Cogito - Sum Sometimes you may open a door and suddenly a breathtaking view stops all thought and momentums - you are simply awareness taking in the beauty and smells with no judgement - for a moment you are Awareness - Awake - Presence. Then Mind labels it and describes it and contrives it and diminishes it - or not - but think back to those times when for a moment your breath stopped and time stopped and Presence was breathing striking golden light. This resides in you - it is YOU - Self - but the mind has places to go that must be gotten too - until it is realized that the the Mind was never meant to be the driver.

I knew a woman who was raped, became pregnant, and chose to have her son. He was in his late teens when I met her. When he was old enough in her opinion she told him how he was conceived. He grew up to be respectful of women in a way his father was not. And this was how she chose to make a change in the world. She would have agreed with you.

Its very odd that what is a legitimate harmonisation technique devolves to characterising the subject as a female 'victim'. The opposite of harmony. This kind of thing does seem to attract manipulative people. I'm not saying it won't work in some way - but for your own sake watch your intent.

This is a beautiful story and what makes it beautiful, in my opinion, is the woman´s life-affirming choice. But what if instead of choosing to have her son the woman was forced to give birth? That would be a very different story. For me, being pro-choice is not about being pro-abortion. It´s about respecting other people. It´s about not assuming that everybody else ought to live by my values. It´s about giving people the freedom to make their own decisions about their own lives.

judging a practice based on what it appears to be is quite pretentious, imo I categorize it under what falun gong would call a "crooked-door" path I'd wager every human body works the same on the inside; what you call what you're doing really doesn't matter, unless what you call your practice affects you, in which case, you're doing it wrong. you say you're afraid of "spending your time on a guy" but I think that's already the wrong approach. as someone who has used it, the technical maneuvers are good, and the thought processes around the ritual aspect is pretty clean and straightforward. it looks like a joke because it's western ritual thought and practice + gnostic philosophy + qigong under the guise that it's all mentalism+electromagnetic manipulation, and maybe some quantum spook. only issue I had with it is that ritual + coven-type is not my path currently. too much new age reminiscience. the actual physical woo (from the techs-your body) is pretty impressive though. not gonna praise it but I'm not gonna trash it

I missed that, maybe he's not as bad as I thought!!! LOL May 'is' a liar and it's obvious for everybody to see/hear. She should be in prison for treason but of course democracy is dead in the UK. I vanish for a few days and Apech goes mental! Calm down lad, we'll all be able to enjoy the riots from the comfort of our own armchairs so there's no need to feel left out. On a slightly dark note: If we do leave the EU they will try and hurt us as much as possible, but such is the price of freedom. Anyway is 39 Billion, 39 thousand millions? If so that's quite a lot of money to get us through.

That's what I want. Like Jesus said, "to be as a little child." I can remember a time when I was a child, laying in the grass looking up at the clouds in the sky, just watching them go by and feeling the breeze and the sun on my body. There was no judgement, no fear, no worry. It seems as those who become 'Realized' are in that state all the time.

I am that I am (but not Popeye the sailor man). I'm something that has been billions of years in the making, perhaps even eternity. I am not just this body. Everything in existence was required to make this thing that thinks thoughts. It's all connected.

It could've just been a kind of chaos magic, law of attraction, or placebo effect type thing, when Yoda's problems stopped after applying what appeared to be a solution to the problems. Or maybe the talismans etc were legit. I mean, that's truly a possibility too. The source of them is silly, but sometimes silly people can have learned magic, too. Either way, it was unfortunate that he felt like it was bad enough that he had to leave the forum and break contact with his fellow cultivators. Such a thing, in my mind, really looks like the beginnings of joining a dangerous cult. As such, I hope he's not associated with Mak Tin Si anymore, and is carefree and enjoying life.

I signed up for this forum over a decade ago. At the time, I was studying both Buddhist and Daoist systems of practice. Over the years, my Daoist, energy, qi etc. based practices have changed, come and gone. My Buddhist practice has evolved quite a bit, but remains a steady core part of my life. I am wondering: for those who have engaged in energy-based practices long-term, what have you seen over the last decade or so? If you could beam back a transmission to your younger self, what would you say? What has worked and what hasn't? Have you discovered a simple, easy daily practice set?

Abzu, All those in the know know that magic cant hold up to kung fu. Magic can bring bad luck and entities and some sickness but it cant destroy the flesh and bones like kung fu can. In pure destructiveness it cant compare. The Chinese are very good at understanding an insult even the slightest one. By saying lonemanpai your saying that son of the gods is greater than 90% of the masters out there of authentic Pai because he created his own. I believe there is hope for everyone even Sun Wukong in "Journey to the West" who rebelled against heaven and the Jade Emperor found salvation. After being subdued by Buddha's Palm. Believe it or not Abzu I only wish you the best that's why I posted links to all the masters I recommended. I hope that lonemanpai consider this as the work in the industry.

That still shot is from one of my all time favorite animated series Mushi-shi. The chief illustrator of the manga is Yuki Urushibara. Ginko, the character in the shot, is a mushishi, a wandering shaman of sorts who can see and influence the realm of mushi (ethereal beings neither human nor animal). Wherever the crossover between the worlds of mushi and earth brings conflict, he wanders in, drawn to the area where he then attends a slow, meditative, deliberate process of bringing balance, if he can. Fascinatingly presented, with insightful writing. It's a real gem in my opinion.

I've just worked out a way for me to follow Voidisyinyang's posts. I simply ignore all the words I don't understand and don't make sense to me. When I just focus on the words that I do understand and do make sense to me, I am then able to follow the thread of what he's saying, and it can then be quite interesting.

Owning a good dividend stock can be amazing, especially if you can re-invest the dividends. It takes awhile to get going but when it does there's a double compounding affect when dividends grow. Like any other kind of investment, perhaps more so its important to try to keep dividend portfolios diversified. Which can be hard, often a REIT, Oil or pipeline dividends shine and its easy to purchase many of the same sector and when the shine is off they'll move down in unison. So, diversify, its the free lunch of investing. The biggest disaster in dividend investing is going for a high dividend and seeing it chopped and the price sunk. Keep an eye on the firm. The movement of quarterly profits and liabilities. The realities of its business and sector. In a good firm, you can ignore a bad quarter or two, and a down price means you'll get more shares when dividends roll around, but consistently bad quarters, fundamental changes to the business.. then don't be afraid to walk away. You can sell 1/4 of the shares, just to be safe, buy'em back later if the business is doing better. Having cash on the side is not a dirty word. Investing isn't a binary game of all in or all out. You can build positions and trim them. You want to be able to sleep at night. Some of the best dividend stocks are the stealth ones. They don't seem like it, because of low payout, but they're brilliant because they've been raising the dividend rapidly, but its hidden because the price has gone up. Looking at a stock in say the Yahoo finance, I'll put on the screen, switch to 5 year length, then under {events} hit dividends, which will show each dividend payment. Scroll along the bottom and see how the dividend has grown. In five years is up 25, 50% or doubled? Take for example Home Depot. Not a big dividend (forward 2.95% not bad) but on 3/11/14 it paid 47 cents for the quarter by 3/13/19 it was up to $1.36, 3 1/2 times more. A comforting metric for dividend investors is Return on original money. With a stock like HD you're earning over 7% on your original money 5 years later, but wait, its much more then that because you have many more shares if you've been able to reinvest, you're earning over 10%. Fantastic and that's not mentioning that the stock has over doubled in price. Even if it hadn't that 10+% is fantastic. If the stock price and dividend never change in 7 years you'll be earning 20% on your original investment. Money coming in every quarter. The danger is we fall in love with a stock and when the situations change we keep it too long, against logic. Dividend stocks I have, which may or may not be great today because I chose them years ago are- HD, OKE, GLOP, DNP, MPW, O, ABBV, OHI.. Index funds are a smart part of any portfolio, or should be considered a separate portfolio.. things like DIA, SPY, QQQ.. nice thing about them is A, they tend to beat the market most of the time, B you can write covered calls against them but these days when I play that game, its only go against a 1/3 of them.. just for pocket change and no worries if they get called away. addon> Dividend Sensei is a a solid writer imo. https://seekingalpha.com/author/dividend-sensei#regular_articles Best overall financial writer for explaining the market, its movement and behavioral forces is Michael Batnick https://theirrelevantinvestor.com/

Yes the original human culture realized that GHOST POLLUTION is the cause of disease. So as I saw ghosts also - the ghost as a hun soul gets trapped on Earth since the Hun Soul is still a yin shen and so has Yin Qi lower emotional blockages "embedded" in the light. How is this possible? The Yuan Qi as the Cosmic Mother is the 5th dimension as a PHASE black hole that we can't see - but it "stores" the information of the future and the past overlapping. So you can have a vision of the future - one time I had a "precognitive" O at a D - I've maybe mentioned this once before. But it kind of surprised me. Anyway precognitive visions are based on strong emotional events that then trigger a Yuan Qi storage into the 5th dimension. So the tantric "little death" as the French call the orgasm - this then ATTRACTS the Yin Shen blockages - this is why the qigong master says to be very careful where you conceive a baby. So then also when a person dies - the ghost pollution can also get "stuck" astrally to a living person. But essentially we are all ghosts but the light is powered by the Emptiness as a spacetime vortex - so everything in reality is happening at the SAME time - even the future. This mean our spiritual ego has to be "emptied out" as the light of the frequency is turned around - so this is what qigong master Yan Xin called "bidirectional intention" - meaning any energy blockage can be undone. So in other words - we have perceptions with our eyes open that in fact are the PAST and so we see an image of beauty and this TRIGGERS a biophoton signal of the pineal gland (as the Yuan Qi electrogravitic transducer) - which then sends that lower frequency biophoton signal to the kidney-adrenals - which then activates the prostate gland to kick out lecithin (that HAD been storing up the Yuan Qi charge in the lower tan t'ien). So if you study the Taoist YOga book it will tell you - that is how the YUan qi is deconverted back into yanq qi and yin qi separated. So then these Number 1 perv-predators (and I used to call them out on this website but the Mods censored me) - so they then feed of having people get their Yuan Qi deactivated into yin qi and yang qi - and then AS SOON as their yin qi gets filled up - then they ejaculate it out as a Sympathetic nervous system discharge of low frequency intention.

No - it can be fixed purely through intention and knowledge - as the Taoist Yoga book details. So what happened with the original human culture is that the males were supposed to be HEALING the females and if the males fell onto the ground for astral travel - the females would often throw cold water onto the males, to bring the spirit back inside the body. But some males then LEFT the villages - to train off alone to create the Yang Shen physical transformation body for bilocation. These males SCARED the rest of the humans - and hence you get the alchemy training. The alchemists were traditionally in the Blacksmith caste that required separation from females.

yes you can provide a link. I am not sure where I read that from Master Nan, Huai-chin. There is also the Kriya yoga teaching: http://perceivebelieve.tumblr.com/post/159904989496/the-idiots-guide-to-taoist-alchemy-qigong So there is a science to this... the vagus nerve is activated from retention after exhale So then as the breath is held after exhale you get the parasympathetic rebound which then increases the oxygen levels in the brain and stores up the qi or prana energy. As this technique of continued, with 30 deep breaths followed by breath retention after exhale, then with each cycle the oxygen in the brain increases and the parasympathetic nervous system stores up

It is not a project - the You that you wish to be receptive to is blocked by you and it will always be just one step away from "placing yourself in a state where you will be receptive to this". Breath in and Be the light that You already are - You are spotless, unstained, complete. The projections and modeling in your mind - the holdings of past models and "understandings" make a linear map of where you are not and where you need to go. there is no time and no space - every bar that jails You is of your own making.

Whomsoever acts as Prime Minister for this term of office, delivering Brexit - or not as the case may be, is finished so far as the House of Commons is concerned and will have nothing left but the House of Lords, after dinner speaking and their autobiography to work on. No point in talk of Quislings either. The establishment is Cultural Marxist which is part and parcel of the E.U. The enemies of freedom are in plain sight and bellowing their message clear and strong through the media. As I have stated all along, even if we do eventually manage to free ourselves from the E.U. tyrany we will still be left with our own Cultural Marxist Establishment leading us down the road to ruin. Brexit was ever only the first step.

yes tantra means the male sends out energy and then when the female orgasms it happens at the SAME time that the male also has a female internal orgasm - both from the vagus nerve. So the qigong master says he does NOT do this since the frequency of the light intention of the female is much lower than the frequency of the light intention of the male energy going out of the pineal gland. So qigong master Jim Nance http://guidingqi.com has to heal me from my years of tantra since holographically I had the spirit frequency of the female lower frequency lust STUCK in my nether regions of my chakras. So when he did this healing I was actually driving the car and the Yuan Qi energy was a very strong electromagnetic buzzing sensation but afterwards he asked me how I felt and I said LIGHTER. Why? Because the Yuan Qi is a spacetime vortex itself - so he was reversing the spacetime gravity that was stronger for the lower frequency light (like a black hole being turned into a white hole).

Respect to whatever you decide to do, in regard to participating in this thread or not... There's something to be said about planting seeds in people's minds (through discussion, as challenging as it might be to "discuss" in the midst of two sides digging in their heels, with no apparent open mindedness)...and if others eventually end up seeing that those seeds are true through their own reasoning and experience, they'll end up nourishing those seeds on their own (having their own ideas and beliefs about things) and their lives will end up changing entirely as a result. They can go from apathetic about the murder of innocent beings, to someone who strives to protect every life. But this process must be natural, and it normally takes years for a seed (an idea we've heard about somewhere) to develop into anything...so contrary to this discussion being pointless, it can be fruitful if you look at from the perspective of years or decades rather than whether we can instantly convince someone else of anything. Or we can remain silent as approximately half of our population thinks murdering innocent humans is a choice they can make in life. But I tend to think that's more of a pointless exercise (the milquetoast silencing of the truth), compared to sharing ideas which might eventually help people find a better way of thinking and being. One life changed can potentially create a domino effect in the world, or that person may end up being incredibly influential for many others. Thinking that we're individually incapable of making a positive dent in the world just prevents us from ever doing so.

It was one of the things that attracted to me to Buddhism in the first place that it doesn't teach us to run away from life's more difficult aspects, but to accept them and to use them as stepping stones towards greater awareness. As a matter of fact, Gautama's eyes were opened when he became aware of the darkness that surrounded him. @Pilgrim Have you tried Tonglen for dealing with your sadness?

That's why I didn't think my answer would be very insightful. There's still much work to be done to place myself in a state to where I can be receptive to this.

Yes. Stop using the intellect. The exercise as outlined will not make sense to the intellect. It cannot be done with the mind. Before your mind can activate, can you know who you are? If not, what CAN/DO you know?

How do you know this? With your mind or without your mind? It’s very easy to end up relying on the mind. Forget about all else. Billion years, eternity etc etc are descriptions generated by the mind and superimposed on what really is. Try again, without thinking, without the mind. What do you get?

Once Theresa May, a pro E.U. Remainiac assumed the role of Prime Minister the die was cast for all of the stuff and nonsense we have seen since. May stated from the outset that she would stand down prior to the next General Election and so her sole remit was to see us through Brexit. In this task she has proved sadly lacking. You can argue for as long and vehemently as you wish regarding the problems and obstacles in her way, but you cannot contest the fact that she was an E.U. supporter who was given the job of shruggting off the countries E.U. shackles. Whichever way you look at this it was lunacy and was doomed to leave us wallowing in our present mess. Parliament has been disgraced and the British people laft as a laughing stock for Europe and the world. To finish on a positive note our politico's have had the spotlight turned on them to illuminate what a hopeless, self seeking bunch of hypocrites they are and this fact alone will provide plenty more fun and games as we approach the next General election in three years time. And a last point to ponder. All and sundry assumed that we would be free of our E.U. yoke by May 2022 and the G.E. but can we be sure of that now?

All these tools and techniques only serve as permission slips in order to allow yourself to allow yourself to become more who it is you truely are. Permission slips to allow yourself to release resistance towards allowing yourself the greater more fully realised being of who it is you truely are. The most universal in application is the technique of meditation. Simply because one has to focus there mind on a sight or sound, like the breath, in order to release practiced and habbitual resistant thought that is the only thing that can ever stand in your way of your naturally allowing the natural re-alignment of your very own physical and greater non-physical being. Then we have, further yet, the tool of listening to good feeling uplifting music, or jogging, yoga or dance, doesn't matter what. If it serves for the purpose of offering the enjoyable good feeling attractive distraction from thought, and quieting the mind. If one is willing to focus on the music or breathing or fresh wind, long enough for the mind to quiet down, and in doing so, allowing your energy field to naturally re-align and re-harmonize back into full alignment with your greater non-physical being and all of its knowing that you then more fully have more fully allowed and allowed to flow acces to, of the knowledge of all that you've truely become, to allow yourself to flow that more fully through you here and now, for the purpose of aligning with your soul purpose here in this life aswell. Naturally, and effortlessly. You don't have to do anything to allow that to happen naturally, except just quiet your mind in order to allow it to naturally happen, and quieting the mind is easily achieved by simply ongoingly placing your attention back on and focusing consistently on a sight or sound. These tools and techniques only are all the ways we all have to step out of our own way, so to speak. To allow the natural goodness to become more fully realised here through us, as we simply allow that to happen more fully, ongoingly. For the purpose of evermore ongoing clarity of being and more fully allowed flow of inspiration from our greater non-physical being of all that is who've truely become and are in the process of becoming evermore. And music does taylor well into the relativity of your mix of being, physical and non-physical and its relationship, in the same way that breathing meditation does. It is a sort of way to keep your mind empty and allow the flow of your greater totality of being to flow more fully through you, always here and now, for the benefit of self and all, if the music is one of simple sounds, uplifting, good feeling. This state of energetic alignment is indicated by enthusiastic energy motional feelings, of good feelings that feel satisfying to the individual, and moves one and synchronises one naturally back into re-alignment with their own greater true nature of being, and of all things well being aswell. And the uplifting music blends in and synchronises well with all of that and mediates it ever so more fully, ongoingly, in all of the relativity of that is which is who it is you truely are evermore. When you quiet your mind, wether you breath, or jog, or go out for a walk and enjoy the fresh wind, or listen to uplifting music, you release all thoughts of resistance, and in doing so, the frequency of your mind rises into alignment and harmony in such a way that it synchronises back into alignment with your own greater non-physical soul consciousness of your greater totality of all that your truely are, and in doing so, you are thus then capable of RECEIVING thought, from your own soul, inspiration. And this perspective, you have acces to, seeing the world through the eyes of this non-physical consciousness of who it is you truely are in all of the greater totality of all that you are, as a soul and further so an extension of God or Source or Soul or Dao, of the greatest most fullest realised being of all that is. That is the greatest benefit one can have anywhere and anywhen, for anyone and everyone, including oneself. Joy, bliss, rapturous extacy, love, freedom, clarity, knowledge ensues. If one is willing to allow it to be so, because it has always been so, and will always be so.

Hmm ... good question . They make/made nets ; 'wall nets' for fish and kangaroo and birds fish and eel traps scoop nets But I dont know of them using 'casting nets' , until modern times . One stocks rats for food. The Polynesians spread them all over the Pacific . " Scientists say they have traced the ancient migration patterns of the Polynesian people and their Western Pacific ancestors by analyzing the DNA of the rats that rode along with them.... Scientists believe that the seafaring Lapita culture, which appeared in the Western Pacific about 3,500 years ago, is ancestral to Polynesian and many other Pacific cultures. As the Lapita colonists spread throughout the islands of Oceania, they introduced several species of plants and animals — including the Pacific rat, or Rattus exulans, which was often transported as food in the colonizing canoes. These rats do not swim, and so scientists assume that humans were solely responsible for their dispersal throughout the Pacific. Stronger Extinction Alert The February 2019 temperature is in line with an earlier analysis that 2019 could be 1.85°C above preindustrial and that a rapid temperature rise may take place over the next few years, as illustrated by the image on the right. Let's walk through the steps once more. The combination image below shows that the February 2019 temperature was 0.93°C above a 1951-1980 baseline (left) and 1.21°C above a 1885-1915 baseline (right), a difference of 0.28°C. In other words, when using a baseline that is centered around 1900, the data should be adjusted by 0.28°C. In the image below, the gold graph uses 1951-1980 as baseline and two linear trend are added, one using data starting in 1880 (gold) and one using data starting in 1900 (blue). Both linear trends are out of line with the recent temperature rise, the gold trend even more so than the blue trend, illustrating that starting a linear trend from an earlier year can make an analysis worse. As said, if we want to use a baseline that is centered around 1900, the data should be adjusted by 0.28°C, and this is what the green graph does. A 4th-order polynomial trend is added that lines up perfectly with zero at the year 1900. Further adjustment is needed for a 1750 baseline, which better reflects preindustrial as in the Paris Agreement. As discussed in an earlier post, this could result in an additional adjustment of 0.3°C. Furthermore, have another look at above maps. Much of the extreme anomalies are in line with changes to the Jet Stream, as also illustrated by the insert. More cold air escaping the Arctic and more warm air entering the Arctic are both speeding up Arctic warming. In the map on the right, much of the Arctic is left grey, since no data are available for the Arctic around 1900, but the Arctic should not be left out of the picture and adding a further 0.1°C adjustment seems appropriate to better include the Arctic. Finally, the NASA temperatures for oceans are the surface temperatures of the water, but it makes more sense to use air temperatures close to the water, which likely adds a further 0.1°C. This adds up a total adjustment of 0.78°C as applied in the red graph, which also has an 8th-order polynomial trend added. Trend analysis that uses data going back many years can only be part of the picture; it's also important to anticipate changes that could occur in the near future. When taking the many feedbacks, tipping points and further warming elements more fully into account, the temperature could rise even more strongly than is pictured in the red trend in the image at the top and there could be an 18°C rise by the year 2026. In the graph at the top, the vertical axis is cut off at 5°C, since life on Earth will already have disappeared by then (see box on the right). [ from an earlier post ] The situation is dire and calls for comprehensive and effective action, as described at the Climate Plan. The meeting was extremely interesting since we confronted him on many issues and basically spelled out an anti-elite democratic vision to Gore. Below is my description of the event--(I refer to other activists as "another" even though sometimes it maybe the same person again--names were never ok'd for this breaking news release. Following the description is further background info. on the issue). The general protest during his speech was scantily dismissed on National Public Radio and in the Twin Cities paper--the corporate media just regurgitated the destructive views of Gore as usual. Upon Arrival at the VFW....The "Speech" "He's a protester, He's one of them!" cried out one of the Gore campaigners. I was pulled aside by secret service as I approached the entryway. The secret service dog was enjoying my smelly socks in my backpack but the man looking through the bag did not even notice the stack of "Who is Al Gore?" fliers. According to the campaigners, apparently if I disagree with Gore, I can't go see him. But after promising that I hadn't handed out the fliers, that I would not yell anything, that I didn't have a banner, and that I would not hand anything out inside, they let me in. So much for first amendment rights. The VFW Hall was an intimate gathering of mainly union people, VFW people, the mayor of Mpls., Senator Wellstone, Rep. Sabo, Walter Mondale, their partners, and the corporate media. When Gore came out to speak--to the tacky blaring of "We Are Family," there was about 15 of us protesters inside and along with other "non-protesters" many soon began yelling stuff. I was yelling it's all "the same corporate elite" and "what about the U'WA!?" Others yelled "stop killing the U'WA!" and similar statements about Occidental Petroleum (OXY). Gore said "And about you protesters out there I'll meet with you afterwards," telling us to be quiet. Paul Wellstone, the sell-out, looked extremely dismayed. We continued to cry out, since Gore has ignored the 20 or so previous confrontations with him about the U'WA. When Gore claimed to want open meetings with Bush and to challenge Bush, I yelled out, "We challenge Gore about the U'WA!" The Gore campaigners quickly brought signs to have people hold up all around us so that we were hidden by the signs. But since we were right in camera view of Gore, the campaigner had to then ask that the Gore signs be taken down because the view was blocked but I raised Gore's book "The Earth in Balance," yelling "Read your Book!" Two others held up a banner several times before getting ejected from the VFW hall. When Gore walked out I got to the exit line, shook his hand saying, "What about the U'WA? What about the meeting?" Media people surrounded us and I heard Gore saying "I'd meet with you but you didn't keep up your end of the bargain." Implying we had successfully disrupted him. But these two media guys claimed he said he'd meet with us. They were standing next to me and could hear Gore better as he left the room. I thought, "we'll if they say so," so I quickly looked for the Gore campaigners and the other protesters. Soon after Gore's assistant came out with the secret service and asked us to have one leader/spokesperson. She told us this meeting was highly unprecedented, especially with so many of us. She allowed no media. We refused to have a leader. We were told to remove jackets, bags, and potential weapons and we were lead to a backroom to be scanned. The Meeting with GORE about the U'WA We decided that one of us would say a short introduction, stating that two other people would make brief statements with the second person asking the question. Having experience with corporate elite at the U of MN, I predicted that he'd try to control the talk and fill us with irrelevant information that ignored the issue. After being scanned by secret service and led to a basement room where about 20 secret service people stood, about 15 of us waited in a semicircle. Gore came out and tried to shake our hands. He got to the second person, after shaking the first hand, but the second refused to do so. So then our introduction began. Gore, after the first person mentioned the two other coming statements, interrupted the introduction and tried to go into a long tirade about us, just as we predicted! I interrupted him and told him to let us finish so we can ask the question and then I began reading off his connections to Oxy, as stated in the NY Times ad. He tried to cut me off before the last connection but I insisted we should just have two more minutes. I finished then the third person began to speak. She was also cut off by Gore so I interjected and read, as we had planned to do, the quote from his book about the need to protect indigenous peoples. The I asked him if he was going to divest or not? He laid into us about how we didn't know what a trust was, how his mom was on life support, how his family had debts, and how legally he couldn't do anything. I pointed out that slavery was legal too and we stated that it wasn't just his financial holdings but that he had alot of influence otherwise especially since the US Aid to Colombia was coming to vote soon. He stated the Occidental Navy Reserve privatization was an "open bid." Another asked him if he knew about the Geneva Convention on Genocide. He argued that the Environmental Minister supported the oil project and that he had won the prestigious Goldman Environmental Award. He claimed it was Colombia's choice to drill and that this will help offset their debt and help stabilize their guerilla and drug problem. Another pointed out that it's precisely because of that guerilla/drug problem that oil drilling is a direct threat to the U'WA. Another stated that Gore could pull strings and asked if Gore has been to Colombia. He said he hadn't. She stated that she had been to Colombia and she didn't know how anyone could trust government officials in Colombia and that "you [Gore] would probably not be safe in Colombia." Confronting Gore on Structural Issues of Corporate Capitalism While he went on about free markets, democracy and the environment, another person pointed out that the U'WA is a democratic government and how "nice" that the colonizers gave back some of the land they stole--commenting on a recent expansion of U'WA territory that Gore referenced. "What about all the democratic governments we've overthrown in Latin America?" I asked. He named two democratic presidents from the 50s but said there were no recent examples. I asked him, "What about Noreiga and Panama? Did you see the documentary Panama Deception that was banned from PBS?" He went on about Colombia being full of Narcotraffickers and guerrillas. I asked him, "Don't you know about Professor McCoy's book on the CIA? Their complicity with the global drug trade is well documented." (the secret service seemed to get edgy about this remark). He stated he's been leading OAS mtgs. to help promote democracy. I asked him why is it that there is a direct correlation with increased U.S. aid and an increase in human rights violations in Latin America. I asked why is it that Colombia is the highest recipient of U.S. Aid and has become the number one abuser of human rights. BACK To the U'WA He said he knew the U'WA chief. One of us asked did he think the Chief liked him. Gore responded well I think so. A latina women stated to Gore that they were her people, that she could speak for them and so why are they planning to commit mass suicide? Gore asked is she was U'WA and she said she was Native American and "shame on you Gore." He tried to counter her and she commented he was saying lies. Another pointed out that his mom would be retiring but will have $600 a month social security to live on [in comparison to Gore's mom]. Another asked "Why can't you transfer the stocks to another equally profitable company?" Another pointed out that if he cares so much about the environment did he know that the equivalent of ten Exxon Valdez oil spills have occurred in Colombia. Gore said that he didn't know this. Another pointed out that the U'WA are people too and just as valuable as his life even if he didn't think so. Also that the U'WA's environment is connected to everyone's environment. Another asked who had the power to move the stocks and Gore said the trustee did but that the trustee was legally required to do otherwise--implying he was required to maximize profits. I pointed out that as a graduate student at the University we just worked to divest $1.5 million and that citizens are sovereign not corporations. I stated that we have the right to revoke the charter of corporations that continuously violate the public good. Others urged him to have the trustee move the stocks and asked him if he was going to make a public statement. He said we had brought up some points he hadn't thought of but that we hope he takes in mind the clarifications [sic.] he made and that the information we've been providing incorrectly implies he owns personal stock. (but he never specifically countered our information which states very clearly its family holdings). Gore stated he decided 26 years ago to never have personal stocks so he wouldn't have a conflict of interest. The secret service, getting quite impatient with Gore being put on the defensive for so long, motioned for him to leave. As he walked off we told him the issue was not going away and that the suicide of the U'WA would be on his conscience. My Impression of GORE The researcher Hannah Ardent used a term, "the banality of evil." The issue of the U'WA is only one of many that Gore could be confronted with--the genocidal war-crime sanctions on Iraq come to mind as well. I think Gore is evil: he tried to cut us off and manhandle us by berating us with irrelevant information. He tried to push responsibility onto others that have less power, he avoided the direct issue. I perceived a lust for power and disdain for the truth. He hid in ignorance and kissed up to corruption by trying to hold out his life-support mother as a shield. He left a wake of cynicism as he left the room, while his presence was disgusting maybe we got through to him and maybe this information will help keep the pressure on! Times Ad Expose V.P.'s "Deep Ties" to Occidental Petroleum Gore Urged to Act in Defense of the U'wa People of Colombia Escalating a campaign questioning Vice President Al Gore's environmental commitment, environmental organizations today placed a full-page ad in the west coast edition of the New York Times. The ad, whose headline reads "Who is Al Gore? Environmental Champion or Petroleum Politician? The U'wa people need to know" substantiates Gore's connections to Occidental Petroleum and argues that the Vice President has a specific responsibility to act on behalf of the U'wa people. The U'wa, a remote Colombian tribe, are engaged in a tense standoff with Los-Angeles based Occidental Petroleum (Oxy) over the drilling of the Gibraltar 1 oil well. The U'wa, a deeply spiritual people who believe that oil is the "blood of Mother Earth", have repeatedly stated that they "are willing to die" to keep oil drilling off of their ancestral lands. More than 2,500 local farmers, union members, and students have joined thousands of U'wa and other indigenous peoples in non-violent blockades and protests near the well site to stop Oxy's project. The heavy military presence around the oil project has already led to violence against peaceful indigenous peoples. In the last month, many have been injured and at least three have died. The situation remains very tense. Gore has enjoyed the corporate sponsorship of Oxy throughout his political career. He controls up to $500,000 in Oxy stocks and has received $20,000 a year for almost 30 years from mining rights to his land that Oxy never mined. Gore's father made a great deal of his wealth while working for Oxy and its ex-chairman, Armand Hammer. Gore Sr. sat on the Board of Oxy for twenty-eight years. Since Gore was elected Vice President, Oxy Chairman Ray Irani has given more than $400,000 to the Democratic Party. Furthermore, Gore's "reinventing government" initiative resulted in the sale of the Elk Hills Naval Petroleum Reserve to Occidental in 1998. The unprecedented closed bidding process was the largest privatization of federal property in U.S. history, one that tripled Occidental's U.S. oil reserves overnight. Environmental and human rights leaders have been attempting to direct the Vice President's attention to this issue for years. In March 1998, the Amazon Coalition wrote the Vice President on this issue requesting his assistance. There was no reply. A month later a full-page ad in the New York Times generated hundreds of letters to Gore. Gore also met briefly with the spokesman for the U'wa people, Berito Kuwaru'wa, after the Indian chief received the 1998 Goldman Environmental Prize. Despite repeated attempts, Gore has consistently ducked the issue by attempting to both deny his connections to Oxy and claim political impotence. In January, grassroots environmental activists from around the country began targeting Gore at his campaign appearances. Eight were arrested at a sit-in at Gore's campaign headquarters over the U'wa issue in Manchester, New Hampshire. The Democratic debate at the Apollo Theatre was briefly interrupted by protesters, and in Olympia Washington, U'wa supporters reportedly drowned out Gore supporters. Just Saturday, activists in Boston disrupted yet another campaign rally. In all, organizers estimate that at least twenty-five campaign appearances over the last 6 weeks have been marred by protests around the U'wa issue. Activists continue to demand that Gore take action that results in an immediate suspension of Oxy's project, and a significant reduction of tension on the ground. "Neither we, nor the U'wa, are going to go away", said Steve Kretzmann of Amazon Watch. "As a professed champion of the environment, Gore has a general moral obligation to take action in defense of the U'wa and their homeland. More importantly, as someone with deep ties and access to Occidental, Gore clearly has a specific duty to take action in this case. We won't accept the excuse that he's powerless to stop this situation. As Vice President of the United States, he has the power to make a difference".

I always wanted to be a turtle and disappear in my shell in situations like this ... entering a big room full of strangers, talking in a language that is not mine. Klonk. (that is the noise you hear, when a turtle pulls all her legs into the shell and hits the floor with her carapace ) And then very slowly stick my head out again and look for a friendly face ... My mother tongue is not English, so please be patient with my English. I work as a medical doctor with Traditional Chinese Medicine and have been practicing Taiji and Qigong for 35 years. I would love to learn more about the Dao De Jing, Daoism in general, Chinese language, calligraphy and much more. Thank you for having me! Sea Turtle

Somewhere warm ... thats a BIG start. I would recommend a 'blend' - I still like my morning computer and late night TV . But I have arranged my 'hobbit hole' so all that stuff is less obvious . Hang a painting over tv when not in use. Electrics are all stashed in a converted old desk . They idea was to make the place SEEM old school ( 'mid-century' they call it now , and its become fashionable ) but still have some hidden mod cons. Or, you could just go camping for a bit . In any case, there is another side to that gold coin .... you might have to harden up a bit . Where I live, peeps move in amazed at its beauty and 'easy' life style , yet many leave soon when the weather and bugs intensify . A bit of heavy rain puts them off. Or 60 miniature tics burrowing into your skin at once .... or 40 deg C heat . You need to have your wits, resources and skills ... and be a bit 'hard' but rewards are good . Unfortunately its harder nowadays, things are not as 'free' as they used to be. I cant recommend a place though as I doubt you would travel here.

Humans repair their own teeth using their saliva. An injury to a tooth would not naturally turn "rotten". Modern food and dental procedures cause decay and tooth loss. Brushing teeth removes the remineralization the saliva is doing. Strong paralyzing herbs like peppermint interfere with saliva. Bad food alters the microbiome in the mouth and alter enzymes and other factors in your saliva, producing rot, and also causes deep tooth and bone mineral loss due to buffer reactions to acid conditions and acid solvent foods. Fluoride prevents teeth from interacting with saliva, so prevents remineralization and preserves cavities as cavities until your next dentist visit. It IS possible to actually grow new teeth. But not if you live like modern civilized people living lives based on fraud and industrial fairy tales. If you do that, forget Qi cultivation or manipulation outright. You won't achieve it or even understand it. Qi is not a substance. It's just movement between the poles of any polarity. Thinking you can "send" "that" to your teeth to repair them is a mistake. Rather, you would want to use your mind to alter the polarities involved, which are many. It's far simpler to understand the physiology and toss the dental fraud and just do what it takes to naturally have teeth. Modern way isn't producing that. -VonKrankenhaus

I have begun practicing The Yoga of Dream and sleep which works out well as I have a split sleep schedule due to the difference in hours I work versus those of my lady. If I get a few hours sleep after work I can be awake and spend time with her at night till around midnight or 1 at the latest then fall asleep and get up at 6 and go to work. This way I can do my BON practices as listed above and to make it all better they are a part of the Yoga of Sleep and Dreams. In the last few weeks I have been experiencing a great deal of pain from the death of my Mentor a friend I have known for 32 years since I was 17 years old. We were very close he was like my father. When the emotions and pain ride high Kriya practice becomes impossible. Kriya is primarily about Cleansing the Nadis, Chakras and central channel and using the triple divine qualities to take the mind into deep absorption but there is a problem here. The heart chakra is the place for pain where pain of the mind collects this is where it is held. Having a heightened awareness of the subtle body from and by the practice of Kriya without the tools to heal from loss and pain makes things much, much worse. The heart center is very important but is also a center that takes a long time to clear and fully mature. So Energizing the heart center and cleansing it with Kriya practice is not so good during difficult times. Cleansing has it's place but not with raw, recent, new trauma all it does is magnify it and cause it to multiply. With the multiplication of pain the multiplication of thoughts. Even when the thoughts are not verbal but felt thoughts. I have made a few posts on the bums here recently and was seeking advice on how to deal with this. Last night I was looking for a different video by TWR and instead came immediately to his talk on turning pain into the path. Once again I am astounded by the wisdom of this Lama and would like to share this video with you all, watching this is very liable to change your life. It is changing mine. Something very important he said was : One can not clean blood off of ones hand with a blooded hand. If you try to clean blood off of your hands by using blood you will never be clean of blood. If it is your goal to replace the first blood with the second blood then you will succeed. In this case you are replacing a thought with a thought and this is not the way through pain. I think I will continue to share insights of this video and other teachings of his so I can continue to work things out and maybe we can understand better together?

I agree $600.00 a year is a hefty price to not know who your teacher is or who his teacher was and to not know what skill your developing. Lets put a light on some good teachers. Traditionally a Pai is centered around a skill. For Ex. Like for Mopai it is yin yang gong. So to even have a name you have to have a skill that you develop. Max is smart he had a Chinese teacher even kunlun is centered around an attainment. Now honestly what skill is lonemanpai developing and known for and can demonstrate? If the answer is none then it is bs and does not follow the Chinese tradition.
  46. 1 point
It's not even correct bs. If one is going to call himself a Pai he should at least follow the Chinese tradition and accept Toudai claim a mountain a sole founder and claim a particular skill. With a lineage chart and artifacts to prove your boast. I'll call it bluntly. Lonemanpai is not authentic the teacher of this has not graduated any teachings nor passed any tests from a former master to maintain the integrity so be a successor of anything. Even Max Christiansen had to attain golden dragon body an then spoke to his teachers later an had it verified. The case with Lonemanpai is just pure bs.

Sorry I cant concur. I know what he is saying bs. He is not a Pai he doesnt know what A Pai is and John isnt dead.

I think modern qigong (taiji included under that) isn't a workout. People who exercise tend to look better, so qigong practitioners should simply add real exercise into their routines. They should do a balanced routine of non-intense cardio and resistance training. With qigong, there's not mind training and the cultivation of goodness like Buddhism has. So if a qigong practitioner were to add Buddhist training to their practices, they'd end up radiating that personable warmth. Or any other kind of cultivation of love, kindness, compassion, etc, would do basically the same thing. If you practice being warm toward others, you will end up being warm toward others...you are what you practice. It's actually important to cultivate such things intentionally when you open up energetically, because your field and energy is increased compared to others. A normal person thinking the typical negative thoughts that we all have from time to time has less negativity than a practitioner who is thinking those exact same thoughts. So, there's an imperative to elevate ourselves as we advance...or else we get negative results. Speaking of being open energetically...I think there's too much focus on feeling sensations and having experiences, rather than genuinely cultivating healthfulness. I prefer more physical types of qigong, and think ones which cause strong qi sensations (aberrations of the nervous system) and/or cause a disconnection of qi or spirit from the body can be damaging...my view is that health is when the spirit is embodied, and the person feels perfectly normal. Some practitioners might think that feeling abnormal from practices is a sign that things are working, but I think it can potentially be a sign of the cultivation of abnormality. Imagine, on the other hand, if you were feeling a little bit off and then you did practices that made you feel good again and restored you...at least personally, that's more of what I'm interested in.
