/\ We have a whole series of jokes based on interpreting what one hears in a "lik lik" known language. Goes both ways, by the way -- e.g. we use "bread of sieve cable" to mean "bred sivoy kobyly" -- an idiom meaning "delirious bullshit," literally "the ravings of a grey mare." The latest example from my just-concluded trip to Greece. Me and my friends were sipping espressos in a cafe in Corfu Town, and at the next table some young Greek guys were having a very lively conversation. In the course of which one of them jumped to his feet and exclaimed, with great feeling and energy, what sounded like "Shabliaka ty moliaka!" to my ear. Now I don't know about other people's ears but to mine it was simply delightful. In Russian it could have been a yet unknown curse, but also words of endearment, or a nickname for a friend, or a dire warning -- watch out, I'm about to kick your ass! Could be anything but due to the manner of delivery I was convinced it wasn't something boring. So later I tried to pick AI's brain to decipher it. What Greek expression, in a context I described to it, could it have been, and what could it mean? After a brainstorming session we zeroed in on "Ti blaxia, ti malakia" -- which is the Greek for "what nonsense, what stupidity!" Perfect. I still haven't decided which version I like better, the real one or the misheard one, but I'm tempted to start using one of them, or maybe both.

The older demographic here might remember PCs having 64 megabytes of RAM. And witnessed the huge leap of gaming consoles from 8 bit to 16 bit. Eventually leading to 64 bit multicore architecture today. Youth born in the last 10 years would not notice these trends. Their glimpse of history is too short to notice progress being made. They were not around to witness peak moore's law in action. Human history parallels this trend. The lifespan of humans is too short to notice our species advancing. Not only in terms of technology but also in terms of society.

" My hovercraft is full of eels ." PNG Pidgin is weird in that it developed from Aussie English , things like ; their word for themselves was 'boi' ( white fellas ; " Boy ! get my bag . Boy ! carry this box ." etc ) and , not being rude or politically incorrect at all ( I think political correctness is not a thing at all in PNG ) as its just words' ; That man broke something ( or did a process badly ) - Dispella buggerimup ( that fellow buggered it up ) And for someone that has a habit of doing that - Dispella , ime fuckimarse ( that fellow he is ......... 'constantly buggering things up ' ) here is my classic one .... I have put it up before , but it belongs here . I had been 'in camp' for about a week and a half ( with the Bundjulung blackfellahs ) , they maintain their language well and it is constantly spoken. Often at times in an English convo their will break into Bundjaung , sometimes it seems without realizing it . I am having a dispute with one of them , he is saying something exists or something is true and I don't believe him . Its a modern thing and it sounds like crap to me . Me ; " Nah ... doesn't sound true to me , I don't believe it ." Him : " Why you don't believe it ? I believe it its true ! You ..... you ! I don't have time for you .... ugogooglebro ! " Me: " What ?" " Ugogooglebro ! " " I'm sorry I am not familiar with that word what is it in English ? " " I am speaking English ! You *&x#x%F ! UGO GOOGLE BRO ! " .... ! OHHHHHHHH ' you go and goggle it bro ' . I YI YI !

Except for the 'data storage ' - that consumes a lot more power AI Overview '' Data centers globally consumed approximately 240 to 340 terawatt-hours (TWh) of electricity in 2022. Projections for 2025 range from 600 TWh to 1,050 TWh, depending on the scenario. This energy consumption is driven by the increasing demand for cloud computing, AI, and other digital services. '' ... including the storage of all your undeleted photos, emails and texts . 1 TWh = 1 trillion watts per hour .

Thanks for your point of view. Not to say that acid reflux isn't a pain in the a** but it's easier to manage with medication and qigong can help as well. In my case, qigong won't reshape my skull and jaw, I'm afraid... I prefer to go the way presented on the website: not using it as a bandage to hide the fact that my body isn't in a proper shape right now. Better to go back to a basic meditation practice that will help me find some calm in those late news and don't ask the impossible from a practice and risk going resentful on it. Plus, I've been practicing DVD1 and 2 for quite some time everyday now, at least 45 minutes and, unlike you, I don't feel any significant difference... So, I think it's a reasonable reason to say that FPCK isn't working for me right now. Not saying that it doesn't work at all! Just like I wrote earlier that I just have to be realistic on what it can achieve.

learned dos 3.2 on an a 8086 machine that was made in 1984 that had 640k of ram which was powerful back in the day. Btw, most of the old monitors were very hard on the eyes! I hot rodded that machine with dos 5, UMB and EMS cards and far better VGA video ! Also added a sound card but it quit on me. Heck it even had a 14k modem for trying out the early WWW bulletin boards. Alas I finally sold that baby for a good price, btw I built and kept a super socket 7 machine that can multi boot to run dos 6.2, windows 3.11 or windows 98. I really got a kick out of tinkering with memory management (via the autoexec and config files along with extra utilities and complex batch files, LOL) on those old machines for best performance; which is not unlike how I once got a kick out of tinkering with and fine tuning carburetor's, cams and intake manifolds on old cars but not so much anymore for the old boy... ;-)

Just my 2 cents but I personally don't recommend this. I've had periods of sleep apnea due to acid reflux, and I still made progress in Flying Phoenix. It also alleviated some of the symptoms (e.g. I'd get more energy to compensate for the lack of sleep). I think the benefits are on and off too. There are some long periods where I don't notice much, then I suddenly feel a lot.

for peace of mind, do whatever medical steps are indicated as advised by medical doctor, for instance to bring the diabetes under control and to bring the lab resutls into a normal range. AND also get accupuncture from a Doctor of Oriental Medicine who also dispenses Chinese herbs. This will help balance whatever is going on. As an earlier post said, STOP doing the energetic practices for now to give your system time to settle down. It sounds like there is anxiety and fear that may also be throwing you off balance, so talk to a counselor and follow through on any tools they give you. And spend time in nature walking, gardening, sitting on the grass, leaning against trees. For the physical issues and the emotional issues, go to professionals in those areas to address. If you get too far out there with the energetic stuff, and ONLY try to deal with it from the energetic level, it will just keep spinning out and will not be brought into balance.

I was sort of an agnostic atheist until about 3 years ago, also an alcoholic. Then, through a mushroom trip, I sort of came to the conclusion that there was something bigger, that the materialistic view wasn’t enough. Then I researched a lot of traditions and stuff for about 2 years, and the last one was Taoism, which was the one I was like, 'Yeah, that’s more like my vibe.' Alongside this spiritual stuff, I ended up with somatic work and that sort of thing. Since about 7 months ago, I started to practice TRE, which in my view is totally related to qi. Also practiced a bit of Zhang Zhuan, tried to keep my energy on the lower dantian, and open some internal channels with TRE.

Ha har ! I did that with a PNG guy at work . I knew a little and introduced myself in pidgin and also said I can only speak a little bit of pidgin ( 'Dis pella he savvy lik lik talk boi ' ) ... only to get a barage of enthusiastic sentences assail me at high speed - " Whoa ! lik lik ... lik lik ! " ( little bit ) Besides ... how you gonna get the pronunciation ? " KhoROshaya poGOda ... BUdet dozhd " Ukrainian man to wife : " What did he say ?" Wife; " I am not sure , I think his pagoda got crushed and a bulldozer wrecked his bidet ."

This is a classic psychological symptom indicating disassociation . So you need to work on integration . Its an important 'spiritual psychological ' principle ... many people with a 'disruption' have experienced this 'disassociation ' (one part of you works independently , or not well, or subversively against the whole of or parts of the psyche . Anything that offers negative experience indicates a part of the lower nature . You need to invoke the aspects of the super conscious which can dispel, reintegrate and offer good and healthy advice and suggestions . It could also be a way of your unconscious telling you to pay attention to your glucose levels , nothing to be terrified about . I suggest you follow Cob's recommendation ... gardening is good for these conditions . if it doesn't resolve from that , get back to us .

real technology used to make a fake conclusion Worse were the 'aura pictures' that were going around . One came to our little town, he even put posters up saying he was coming , rented the local hall ... an embarrassing scam . he used a cheap old instant photograph camera , one where you pull the film out count to whatever and peel the cover off the photo and there it is . This guy took the photo out the camera , peeled a corner off the cover , quickly pulled it back a bit and then sealed it again ... waited then un peeled it ... VOILA ! Your aura . Right in full view of people ... yet they were amazed and kept their aura photo (after paying him ) as a trophy .

It seems different in that in kirlian photography they generated the energy and pushed it through the sample to get the image . This seems to be a record of the energy emanating from the sample itself .... photons given off by bio-chemical reactions . This is not unusual in itself , it is called 'biphoton or Ulta weak photon emission' . Often in the ultraviolet but also in the visible light range . It's linked to metabolic and cellular activity regarding oxidative metabolic processes or oxidative stress processes - hence more detected when a part of a leaf is cut off or traumatized . Its an energy that helps cells communicate with each other . Think of really ( really really ) weak bio luminescence .

No, that's how "o" in an unstressed syllable is pronounced -- like a semi-swallowed "a." English speakers often have trouble with it when they learn the language -- they pronounce it too distinctly like an "o" everywhere. E.g. the word "horosho" (good or well or OK) which Anthony Burgess phonetized as "horror show" in "A Clockwork Orange" is a typical example -- but it's actually pronounced "harashO" since only the last of the three Os is under stress. Note (putting on my Henry Higgins top hat): there's regional dialects in some parts of Russia where o is indeed pronounced as o in an unstressed position, and a special verb in the language that specifically refers to this way of speaking -- Okat'. Then there's the Moscow accent and a word for that -- Akat' -- characterized by exaggerated a's where unstressed o's are encountered. While standard Russian, like I said, often semi-swallows them, a bit like the English schwa /É™/.)

It’s nothing to worry about. But you must leave all spiritual practices behind for a while. For now, let daily living be enough in itself, learn to appreciate the mundane. Focus on grounding. Eat healthy. Go for walks in nature, do more exercising. No porn. Try doing voluntary work. Your mind is playing you tricks, do not feed the problem by giving it attention and the problem will disappear. Be well.

I appreciate the wisdom of your comment and offer my response as an expression of my current feelings, not necessarily as a rebuttal. I don't know you well but well enough, I think, to know that nothing I say below will be anything you don't already realize. I see a lot of sickness in my society, and our global society, and a lot of good also. While it may not always be healthy, seeing clearly is the first step towards change. I think it is important in a healthy society to rail against those causing abuse and harm to the most vulnerable among us. Equally important to spread awareness among those who may be ignorant and well-adjusted to it. Calm and stability are priceless but won't always stop starvation, torture, extermination, and the host of other atrocities going on. Sometimes action is needed and, of course, it is important that action come from that place of calm and stability to be effective and appropriate.
