To get over this barrier, look at the need in yourself to have and maintain this belief system  ( or non-belief system) ... what is driving this particular need to believe and try and prove the earth is flat ?

IIRC, there is a mountain ridge around the rim which keeps the water in. I forget why we can't see that mountain but I remember that we are not allowed to explore the so-called South Pole because then the secret would be revealed and then... ummm... something bad would happen (I guess).

A very good friend of mine spent three months in Antarctica for the National Science Foundation. I should talk to him about this when he is back in town. Perhaps he had false memories implanted and the photos of the South Pole he showed me were fake.

I thought the easiest and best evidence in disproving flat earth model is simply observing the sun, ie under most FE theories it stays the same height and goes around in a circle around the middle area of Pancake Earth acting like a flood light.  Under that scenario it wouldn't rise or set, it would come closer then recede further.   No going above or below the horizon, just coming and receding.

 

Yet it clearly doesn't, it rises and sets.  Staying at a ball shape when it should kind of go elliptical if it was receding. 

 

The latest round of video's present a world where the sun is even closer then 'classic' FE theory, where its 31(!) miles away, not 3,000 or the 72 million that fits into our modern science for generations.

 

I can see having these arguments in a nontechnological society.  With no computers and where planes are mysterious objects, but our society we get on planes going 600 miles an hour, cross the continents and oceans.  We have telescopes and strong binoculars, we can see other planets with moons around them.  See for ourselves the complexity of our solar system.

 

We can make models (Orrery) of it and the confirm that our model matches reality.   For example it shows and predicts why planets seemingly move backwards in there orbit every now and then in retrograde.    The Adler Planetarium in Chicago has a beautiful one.   You can see the moon circling the earth every month and how it relates to the outer fixed circle of the constellations.  Its fascinating to see.  It works like clockwork because the laws of universe are constant. 

 

This kind of anti-science, anti-intellectualism is very dangerous.  It's tinged in dark conspiracy theory where the video's presented lay out the vast Luciferian plot over the past 1,000 years to keep people in the dark about the shape of there planet because.. that's what Luciferians do.  They do science, work as engineers.. they create progress which means change.

There is a big wind at the edge, it blows the water up and back over the earth .... where did you think rain came from ? 

 

 

Actually, one of my fav  camping spots as a youth had a waterfall that did that, it plunged off a cliff into the ocean, a strong easterly would  blow it in a big arc back into the pool at the top.

Caution when diving into shallow water.

 

Reminds me of a true story,well as told to me by my brother in law,who used to work in a spinal unit.

 

This guy mid summer dived off a jetty into shallow water,hitting his head,paralysed neck down to toes.

Admitted to the spinal unit,after about six months care,incredibly he regained full function,could walk talk everything sweet.

 

One year later,the anniversary of diving off a jetty into shallow water.

Also incredible,this now fully recovered young man,again found himself at the beach,once again dived off the jetty,hitting his head,paralysed from the neck down,unfortunately his condition is termed quadriplegic.

 

Is that the sought of thing an Obamunist would do?,this guy could only qualify for Obamoron.
