silent thunder Posted May 8, 2021 But tomorrow, dawn will come the way I picture her, barefoot and disheveled, standing outside my window in one of the fragile cotton dresses of the poor. She will look in at me with her thin arms extended, offering a handful of birdsong and a small cup of light. Billy Collins

Ajay0 Posted June 11, 2021 Consciousness minus conceptualization is the eternal Brahman the absolute; consciousness plus conceptualization is thought. ~ Yoga Vasistha Thinking and consciousness are not synonymous. Thinking is only a small aspect of consciousness. Thought cannot exist without consciousness, but consciousness does not need thought. ~ Eckhart Tolle The thought process is an intermittent activity – Consciousness is always On. ~ Sadhguru

Taomeow Posted June 28, 2021 "An immigrant learns how to look at things with her eyes and the eyes of others at the same time, as if she were simultaneously in front of a mirror and inside of it. In the US, an immigrant is someone who is simultaneously inside and outside the mirror called “America.” A “native” (in this case, an American-born person) is trapped inside the mirror. Americanness: the privilege of never having had a mirror placed in front of your nose because you are always already inside the mirror. The privilege of never looking at yourself with the eyes of Others." -- Alta Ifland

Eduardo Posted August 31, 2021 Three things must be cultivated: Truth, wisdom, and understanding. Three things must be governed: Character, language, and conduct Three things are to be appreciated: Friendliness, Kindness, and Good Humor. Three things must be defended: Dignity, Friendship and Freedom. Three things must be abhorred: libel, cowardice, and envy. Three things should be despised: weakness, leisure, and vanity Three things must be shunned: slander, lies and deceit. Three things should be avoided: error, mistake, and failure. Three things must be imitated: work, perseverance and loyalty. Three things must be achieved: success in life, sanity, and serenity. manitou Posted September 1, 2021 16 hours ago, Eduardo said: Three things should be avoided: error, mistake, and failure. Thank you Eduardo. That is wonderful. I was a little taken back by the mention of error, mistake, and failure to be avoided. But upon further reflection, if a person is conducting their business by not-doing, they would not be prone to mistakes. They will remain in the flow of the universe and things will always come out of the wash perfectly ironed.
Taomeow Posted September 4, 2021 ”In the future, we will eliminate the soul with medicine. Under the pretext of a ‘healthy point of view’, there will be a vaccine by which the human body will be treated as soon as possible directly at birth, so that the human being cannot develop the thought of the existence of soul and Spirit. To materialistic doctors, will be entrusted the task of removing the soul of humanity. As today, people are vaccinated against this disease or that disease, so in the future, children will be vaccinated with a substance that can be produced precisely in such a way that people, thanks to this vaccination, will be immune to being subjected to the “madness” of spiritual life. He would be extremely smart, but he would not develop a conscience, and that is the true goal of some materialistic circles. With such a vaccine, you can easily make the etheric body loose in the physical body. Once the etheric body is detached, the relationship between the universe and the etheric body would become extremely unstable, and man would become an automaton, for the physical body of man must be polished on this Earth by spiritual will. So, the vaccine becomes a kind of arymanique force; man can no longer get rid of a given materialistic feeling. He becomes materialistic of constitution and can no longer rise to the spiritual “. -- Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925) 1
