Shadao Posted June 26, 2022 The version of you that is the true you, pure, clear of any imperfection or condition. Ā The version of you that you try to achieve even when you don't know it, the one that has the qualities you wished you had.The one that is so far above your current self that you have difficulty even trying to imagine such perfected self still being "you". Ā ps: I've got no idea why I decided to write this and in such a convoluted way, just suddenly "felt like it", a bit like I was half the writer and half the reader ĀÆ\_(ć)_/ĀÆ You're free to ignore this rambling.Ā Ā Ā

liminal_luke Posted June 26, 2022 I don't know that it means perfect self in the sense you mean but I like the wordĀ mensch. 1 1
doc benway Posted June 27, 2022 In the tradition I follow the closest thing to what you describe would be to transcend or releaseĀ all notions of oneās self - all ideas, conditioning, habits, patterns, concepts, emotion, expectations, and so on, and to abide in what remains. It is clear, spacious,Ā and ever-present, and cannot be named without being polluted.Ā It can be called many things, none of which captureĀ it, butĀ is most often referred to asĀ sems nyid,Ā literally mindās nature or essence. Itās also often referred to as Buddha nature. Ā https://rywiki.tsadra.org/index.php/sems_nyid
C T Posted June 27, 2022 (edited) This subject was a pet fascination years ago, and I used to put pen to paper forĀ much of the thoughts around this, and the term I had a fondness forĀ was 'the nondescript'. It was only later that I learnt about the wordĀ 'ineffable'. lol Edited June 27, 2022 by C T
Nungali Posted June 27, 2022 (edited) Tricky as you are asking for aĀ name of theĀ perfected self and not the process to achieve thatĀ Ā . Ā For me, the closest isĀ "Fravahar."Ā Ā As in the sense of aĀ 'United Fraveshi 'Ā .Ā Ā Ā Otherwise known as , Ā in modern hermetic / western magicĀ tradition ( Not the name of it but the 'process' ) ; achieving the knowledge and communication of your ' Holy Guardian Angel'Ā - also a process of 'uniting' . manitou Posted July 3, 2022 I suppose it's getting close when it's called the I Am consciousness.Ā Still doesn't mean we can describe it, but rather it's something we turn into.Ā I think the closest we can come to describing it is to live it.Ā It is the light on the path.

thelerner Posted July 12, 2022 Instead of the concept Perfect Self, I like the term Complete Human Being.Ā There's a roundness to it.Ā Birth, death. Highs, lows.Ā Happiness, sorrow.Ā Sex, Celibacy. Ā Peace at the core.Ā Accepting, rolling with the world. Ā Ā What aspects of myself, do I need to work on, to be more Complete?Ā no stereotype.. what do I need to roll better.. to momentarily perfect my morning oatmeal.
