Now he is sorta like a  forum ghost .....

Younger Dryas Comet impact hypothesis paper released which suggests that previous sceptical papers were disingenuous :

https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/00368504211064272

Quote

Conclusion

It should have been clear to readers, including peer reviewers, that Pinter and Ishman had offered hyperbolic language but no actual evidence against the YDIH; that Surovell et al.37 had failed to sample the YDB and/or made fatal errors in procedure; and that the samples reported by Scott et al.40 and used by Pinter et al.7 and Daulton et al.49 had not come from the YDB and therefore did not bear directly on the impact hypothesis. Instead of critically examining and rejecting these false claims, many geologists and impact specialists embraced them, thereby allowing an alleged absence of evidence to trump abundant, peer-reviewed evidence, even photographic evidence. Then a kind of “groupthink” seems to have set in, rendering the YDIH beneath further consideration.

The broader lesson from impact cratering, continental drift, anthropogenic global warming, and now the YDIH is that it is better to encourage further research than to prematurely condemn a novel, data-based hypothesis to the dust bin of science. Unfortunately, once a hypothesis has been prematurely rejected, even truly “extraordinary evidence” may not be enough to restore it to scientific respectability.

Finally, we can now assess Sweatman's suggestion that the YDIH may be ready for promotion from hypothesis to the status of theory. If we combine the definitions of “theory” from the National Academy of Sciences and the American Association for the Advancement of Science, it would read something like this:

A scientific theory is a well-substantiated explanation of some aspect of the natural world, based on a body of facts that have been repeatedly confirmed through observation and experiment. It refers to a comprehensive explanation of some aspect of nature that is supported by a vast body of evidence. One of the most useful properties of scientific theories is that they can be used to make predictions about natural events or phenomena that have not yet been observed.

Those who have read this article and Sweatman’s have the information to decide whether the YDIH meets this definition. In this author’s opinion, there is a strong case that it does. Moreover, it should not be forgotten that no other single theory can explain the YD and its associated effects.

Even quotes Sweatman!!!  ... things are swinging round now!!!!!

Nungali - what you got to say now???? :)

Yesterday I was re-reading a book on geology .  Nothing in there seems to contradict any idea about a YDIT , actually they showed a geological band full of iridium  to 'prove it '   and it went on to add (in this section, it listed things throughout history - like discovery of Continental Drift , Plate tectonics, etc . that greatly changed our ideas about geology ) how this was a significant event that changed our ideas about geology ;  geology can change radically due to extraterrestrial influence .

Now ....   Maybe I did , But i cant ever remember arguing against any YDI theory or fact ?????????

My criticisms where of  Seatman's idea; suggesting that those ancient people in GT times constellated  stars and asterisms  together the same we do .

Apech  - what you got to say now???? :)

Nungas,

I say you dissed Sweatman and now must eat geological dirt (with iridium and carbon spheroids) and wash it down with meltwater A.

This is the way of science - follow it.

Yours sincerely,

G. Hancock.

RA material channeled by the LL Research group in 1980's has some information about the Atlantis.

Summary: It started 31,000 years ago as an agrarian society. They reached a high technological understanding about 15,000 years ago. The first major war occurred about 11,000 years ago and the last war that triggered significant Earth changes and destroyed the Atlantis happened 10,821 years ago (as counted back in 1980's). The underwater site near the Western tip of Cuba discovered 20 years ago(?) was part of the Atlantis. Three of the positively oriented Atlantean groups left before the devastation and eventually settled in the areas of Tibet, Peru, and Turkey.

Below some references:

https://www.llresearch.org/channeling/ra-contact/22#27

https://www.llresearch.org/channeling/ra-contact/24#4

"Another example that we would share is that of the ruins that have been discovered under the sea off the western tip of that island known as Cuba. These ruins include structures that look just like your Stonehenge, structures that look like pyramids of those step-pyramid varieties known in Mexico and in the central Yucatan area, and even those known as sphinxes. These structures also have inscriptions on them that are clearly written. The problem, as seen by your geologists, is that these structures are only seen as being capable of being above water as early as 11,000 of your years ago.6 Now, it is the combined team of Paul Weinzweig and Paulina Zelitsky of Advanced Digital Communications, or ADC, that gained permission from the Cuban government, through Fidel Castro, to take sonar readings of these areas, and thereby make a study, as previously the Communist regime in Cuba did not allow such undersea analyses to be conducted. Recognize as well that it has been publicly announced that these entities did sign a contract with the National Geographic Corporation to then bring forth a documentary to the public. Recognize as well that of course, nothing further has occurred, and that this story has never been covered except on certain internet media, such as MSNBC."

Ahhhhh  .... Tony light and love  ....

'Recognise' what   Paul Weinzweig and Paulina Zelitsky of Advanced Digital Communications, said THEMSELVES  as to why 'nothing further has occurred' .

Its rather bullshit that these formations are as described as above and to suggest there is writing on the formation ?

Do you realise how deep it is and what form the original images where in ... and how they got translated to another form , and what the original images actually looked like ?

Or would you rather have a 'channelling' description of the scientific research ... and another question ;

Do you realise how stupid and ridiculous it is to look at scientific research via a 'channelling organisation'  when one could just go to the research itself ?

In any case , all this was already discussed , and the 'process' of bullshitification outlined and the original images posted .

Now, waiting for the next new person to come along and post some random Atlantitis .........  that we have already examined .

That is the Atlantis Resort, but it's in the Bahamas, not Dubai.

I worked as a sculptor on that project for two years at a studio in NYC, while I transitioned out of acting.

Mostly I worked on a series of large relief sculpted panels that line the shark tanks, depicting various scenes from Greek Mythos.  It was an awesome project, that I recall fondly.  The portion I'm describing was designed to represent the Minotaur's Labyrinth.

You can read all about it here ;

The one in Dubai is merely an unusual and complex geological feature built by ancient corals in the Mesozoic Era ;

Obviously due to tectonic plate shifting and cosmic factors Dubai and the Bahamas were originally connected by a land bridge allowing the migration of an ancient monolithic advanced civilization to flourish there.

Mario Dantes !

:)

One of the best crazy discussions  ever on Atlantis was on Unexplained Mysteries Forum . Mario used to insist that Atlantis was in the middle of the Atlantic, then took off under locomotive plate tectonics  and became Greenland.  All based on an old map that showed south American continent upside down.

Ooooo , the discussions about that !
