Not just one night or 2 nights. An entire week dreaming themes relating to Winter (Santa Claus, downhill biking on a snowy slope, running in few feet deep snow with a heavy jacket on, or paddleboarding on an icy, frozen lake). I think that linked opinion is garbage, putin has had a multitude of opportunities to have started it if that was his proclivity to begin with - instead I think he's shown excellent restraint in the face of a veritable old enemy whose plans have been known for decades, where the world has mostly forgotten how the adage poke the bear even came into existence. such pieces stay one sided and focus on their object of demonization and everything they have done that could possibly construed as warlike, and completely omit what those actions were in response to.

I'm Polish and I generally dislike Russia, but I'm disguisted by the biased way the Western and Polish media present this conflict. In this conflict both sides - Russian and Ukrainian are lying, which is not really suprising. The sad thing is that Western and Polish are engaged in the propaganda aspect of this war, acting as pro-Ukrainian propaganda relays.

 

German TV made a funny, but also very true satirical program about it, the link contains English subtitles:

 

 

 

It's based on real cases of bias of Western media - like for example when Ukrainian Maidan/Kiev goverment supporter mob burned dozens of political opponents using Molotov coctails and blocked the firefighters from helping them, Western media put relatively little attention to it and phrased the whole thing like it was uncertain who burned whom alive.

the only real similarity i see that putin and hitler share is that they both said what they actually feel/felt.

I was rather perturbed to see that Ukraine's gold has been looted from their treasury. They supposedly had 30 some odd tons, and for some insane reason, they decided it was a good idea to just sell off over 20 tons of it? Needed to diversify into...dollars!? wtf?

 

Curiously the Netherlands has been given the ok to repatriate 122 tons of gold - but ONLY from their stockpile in the US. How much does anyone want to bet that Ukraine's gold is contained in what's going there.
