It doesn't matter if someone believes or not; if there is functionality. No autopsy will find a mco in a cadaver. The cadaver is dead and no longer an active energy vessel. There are results from running mco. That, idk how many practitioners over the years, spanning generations, generally agree upon. Mco is not a physical structure it is a dynamic energy pathway. Once again, the "scientific" view is exposed by its limitations by disregarding the subjective and only relying on the objective. Edit/ I said it before and it remains true that science itself, is a belief systen

Upon reflection I find this whole focus on giving someone an electric shock as the ultimate criterion for measuring the value of a system as problematic. I do think there is a point where it’s useful for the practitioner to learn to emit qi so they can see its physical effects on something outside of their body but I see this as more of a private affair for them to understand the process and see a physical external manifestation of what they are experiencing internally. Something to make it more real to the practitioner if they so choose. . Not as something to show the world how smart and talented they are or how wonderful their system is. Also, for teachers, learning to share their qi with a student to help them develop is also important but again this is better done in a low key fashion so as not to create unnecessary karma. There are some medical applications as well though there are health risks that accompany them that shouldn’t be ignored. When I see all the mania generated by the mo pai madness (or by related things like use of empty force) it doesn’t seem mentally healthy to me. Feels more like an adolescent response to feelings of uncertainty and doubt in themselves than in self cultivation. I think practices that generate a Mona Lisa smile and a calm abiding are more useful in life and don't carry as much ego baggage . Traditionally powers were expected to arise more as a test of one’s character and to challenge their focus on their sadhana rather than something that was the primary goal. I think if we ignore this traditional view there can be unnecessary unhelpful consequences that result in our having to learn this lesson again. sorry - I guess this makes me sound like someone quite archaic in their views but just wanted to give another view to this. Thanks for listening to my rant.

It is a belief system for the indoctrinated, but for the indoctrinators it is primarily (and often entirely) a power grab system. All our "life sciences" inherited the tradition they directly arose from -- that of witch hunts, getting rid of ideological competition, gaining both power and money, monopolizing control of people's bodies, calling the shots. (There's a pun in there.)

How to prove a coffee table exist? We use it. If it works, then it is the proof. The result is the proof. We are not talking about things like awakening, transcend, enlightenment which are immeasurable. The exercises that lead to MCO are all concrete physical bodywork.

In an alternative scenario, the nurse giving you the shot probably hit a blood vessel. Occasionally it happens, and that's what might cause bleeding (of varying intensity which depends on the size of the blood vessel hit). If you had no other symptoms while taking turmeric (e.g. abnormal bruising from things that shouldn't cause it, or spontaneous appearance of bruises out of nowhere, or any minor wounds that caused disproportionate bleeding, etc.) I don't think it's very likely that turmeric was involved. It is indeed a very mild blood thinner, key words very mild, and its mechanism of action is different from that of both aspirin and prescription blood thinners. It does not interfere with normal clotting in the real world, only in theory. There's cuisines (e.g. in many parts of India) where it is used in everyday dishes in amounts far exceeding what is usually taken as a supplement in the West. Of course if it's a before surgery situation it's prudent to take nothing at all, just to be on the safe side (except for Yunnan Baiyao of course -- and I wouldn't tell the allopaths about that one unless they were also knowledgeable in classical Chinese medicine, which would be too much to ask). Disclaimer: I ain't no doctor.

Interesting that he says there is a the large degree of overlaps/commonalities of the three systems. I think that is a good thing and not really surprising to me. I also agree with him that fa qi is a natural outcome of the process - though I’m not sure I view it as being as important as he does. However, i think the science community may not recognize his outcome as the experiment design of one person doing all three simultaneously is problematic. . I also think the siddhis he emotionally refers to including are a bit more advanced than just doing fa qi. Not many people I’ve heard of doing anima (Become smaller than atom) , mahima (become as large as the universe) garima (becoming infinitely heavy) etc. Might be a big ask for a neigong program to produce these in the timeframe provided. . Not sure I’d want them if they could! Though the siddhi prapti does sound tempting.

Good day to all the seniors here , now this is my first post after my introduction and it's about a topic that I find in lot of Manhua , manhwa that I like to read . Alchemy, not the internal Alchemy that I have been reading about in the forum but medicinal Alchemy, where using herbs to make miracle medicine is real , honestly in any manhua that I have read the concept of Alchemy is my favourite as it deal with healing and growth . So is it possible that there are medicine pills that can help in cleansing the body of impurities?? . Ofc if this topic is not something openly talked about then forgive me for my ignorance and if it's allowed plz impart some knowledge to me .

R i i i i i i g h t ! Apparently even otters get barnacles ( @ 8:10 ) '' Giant otter compromised ! ''' ( love her uniform ) or at 8:48 where the scuba divers are blowing bubbles in the air before they dive in . Youse guys crack me up next giant sea otter gets a scrubby vac thing ( one of the many gadgets on board ) and then , for some reason , a hosing that comes out of the middle of fan on a stand . Then some more handroller vacs ... then switch to a good hand scrub with soft sponges inside a medical facility with people wearing hospital 'scrubbs' ... then back outside on board for some rotary scrubbing ( hospital gowns and gloves not needed for this bit ... dont miss 14 :08 where now the otter scrubbering gadgets have turned into backhoes with special attachments . next up ... the roaming animal scrubbing boat comes across an 'extinct seal' ... no not a fossil .. a real 'extinct' animal guy pointing at it '' the animal is extinct now '' ... not to worry its reported in to animal scrubbing HQ @ 16:16 and the rescue team runs down the corridor again ... pauses , turns and a magc doorway was behind them all the time , they run through it dont miss 17:40 for the magical scuba dance and the way they enter the water , also the voice over seems stuck and keeps saying the same thing over and over again ... even different people keep saying it . the lift at 18:19 is spectacular ( ly hilarious ) ... now its more scrubbing with machines, corrosive chemicals , and stiff brushing while the animal calmly basks on the deck . Did whoever made this ( and whatever for ) did they really think it ANYONE would take it seriously ?? and why are the number of these postings and 'sharings' .... increasing ? and why cant some people detect such bad AI at first glance .... even from the title still frame it was obvious . My guess is, if people see enough of this , and they are so dim and unaware that they cant tell the difference , then they will be flooded with them until that replaces 'real footage ' for them .... by the way 'real footage ' does not exist anymore , that s the conclusion we will have to come to . now .. stay tune for an interruption to daobums while we cut to a live broadcast from the President about the current immanent disaster , and what you will all need to do ......

I think the pills I have qualify as low dose so I’m not too worried by this. I don’t think I can source organic turmeric here but I’ll see if I can get it online.

Medical science and psychological science use both qualitative and quantitative methods. Just like the two truths in Buddhism, both are useful as long as they are not conflated with each other. Some tend to value one over the other, which technically is an "unscientific" view.

I buy organic turmeric and keep away from the capsules. Hope you make the best choice for yourself.

It does not really matter. When someone lacks skill or experience, they only have the option to believe or not. Which is absolutely irrelevant. When you actually have the skill/quality itself, when you can see energies with an activated third eye, or have a functional working MCO, or one of hundreds other abilities, belief and faith no longer matter. It does not matter if millions or billions of souls, or everyone around you, do not believe that an ability exists or that you, in particular, do not have it. They will have no power to strip your attained merit and remove it. In fact, people with real abilities have little interest in making themselves known or proving anything to anyone. I don't think any advanced teaching is based on faith/belief. Teachings lead you to specific attainments through dedication, training, and a path where you gain personal experience. Not something written in a book, not something copied from a lecture. The problem with these threads is usually that people want something, but they are unwilling actually to work or make a commitment to their wish. What they have left is to devalue and undermine certain skills or qualities, telling everyone how meaningless it is to have a siddhi, how irrelevant it is, and that it actually does nothing at all, being just a form of metaphysical belief or delusion. Truth is, there is an absolutely immense difference in life experience/quality/existential status between a regular untrained human and an average cultivator. It is more than a difference in society between a homeless beggar, starving for any food scraps, and a billionaire who has life's opportunities on a silver platter. Simply indescribable.

This is what has never been explained to me. It is an unusual skill, but one that, as far as I know, requires no wisdom or compassion to develop. In fact, every tradition I'm familiar with has warned about getting lost in power-based side paths. Many spiritual seekers have a story about confounding power and wisdom. But as branding, it is brilliant. Who doesn't want unusual abilities without having to overcome the ego habits of mind?

I bought some pills which you take two a day and have black pepper extract for absorption. The dose is 560 mg turmeric in powder form. I was told that eating turmeric in food was not enough because the powdered turmeric is only a few percent actual herbs.

Hello everybody. I've always had an interest in various esoteric knowledge and practices. Now that I’m delving deeper into Daoism after reading the Dao De Jing, i figured i might as well join a community that may share some of my interests. I'm currently reading/studying Zhuangzi - The complete writings, as well as Neiyeh (Through Harold D. Roths book Original Tao). I'm in my 30s and I'm Danish Have a great day.

Thank you (and @Apech) for the welcome Haha yes, i find Neiyeh to be a very interesting read. I have spent some time skulking around the forums the past few days before officially joining today. The Daoist Textual Studies section definitely having been one of my lurking targets

Hi Apech. I try taking turmeric daily altough it rarely happens. My way of taking it is with tomato passata ( it helps with the sensation of dryness sometimes caused by turmeric in the stomach and liver) and some olive oil for absortion. I mix everything with a little water and take it. Still didn't "really" notice the big anti-inflammatory properties of turmeric. Not saying that they aren't real. I've noticed however the big anti-inflammatory properties of Boswellia Serrata (Indian frankincense) that worked better for me than NSAIDs. Beware of curcumin suplements which are causing too many reported health issues.

Which leads us all back to the main picture: Ankh-n-f-khonsu stands before an offering table which contains meat, fowl, fish and bread. He is wearing a leopard skin, which marks him out as a Sem priest. The Sem priests go back thousands of years to the Old Kingdom and probably before, descended from the earliest shaman/magicians, the role developed into one skilled in the funerary cult. Particularly in the 'opening the mouth' in which mummies and statues were ritually brought to life using a magical adze (a wood working tool). The opening of the mouth had a mudra of the closed fist with the little finger extended. This is drawn from midwifery, where the birthing nurse would insert her little finger into the babies mouth to remove mucous and allow it to breathe and feed. In the same way the statues and mummies had their mouths opened so that their Kas could receive sustenance from the offering. There are two related ideas to offerings. One is the Eye of Horus which is the ultimate offering, Horus offers his eye to his father Osiris and Thoth offers the healed eye after it become injured either to Horus or the Sun God. So in this sense the Eye is the type of all offerings. Also the word 'hotep' which means peace, contentment, fulfilment or satisfaction is represented by a mat with a loaf of bread on it as an offering. Hotep is found in names like Ptah-hotep etc. and is a key Egyptian concept. So in making offerings and receiving them what arises is perfect contentment. The deity that he offering to, sat upon a throne, is Ra-Horakhty, a syncretic god. He is shown with a falcon's head and solar disk as a crown, holding a 'was' sceptre representing power. This deity is formed from merging two gods. Ra as the sun, or the power behind the sun and Horus the ancient sky god who is associated with awareness and keen sight. The 'akhety' part of the name means between the two horizons (of East and West). The two horizons represents the extent of the known cosmos, the East is where things come into being and West where they die. So this could be understood as placed Ra-Horus over all that is between birth and death rather like the alpha and omega of the Bible. So this god, which is Ankh-f-n-khonshu's highest value, is energy/awarness over all that is. Behind the god if the symbol of the West ... a bird perch with a falcon on it and a feather of ma'at. Above them stretches Nut the sky goddess and over their heads is the winged disk of Horus Bedhety (which Crowley calls Hadit). So how are we to interpret all this ....

Not latest fad. I read a blog whose owner took a lot of curcumin for over 20 years to deal with blood cancer. And there are quite a few Chinese books only for curcumin pre-Covid.

I have been feeling of late mild physical inflammatory discomfort. On occasion I have taken NSAIDs but I don’t like taking them. When I read online about turmeric I felt that it might be helpful but I wasn’t sure if it was just the latest fad being pushed online - so I thought I’d ask on here if anyone had tried it and if it really worked. I bought some today and will start it tomorrow - I’ll let you know if it seems to help.

Curcumin exerts anti-inflammatory effects by regulating inflammatory signaling pathways and inhibiting the production of inflammatory mediators. Read research paper: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC8572027/ But what is the conditions that make you want to take curcumin?

Here is another 'one ' ... about how the 'brain works' and how we 'learn' stuff : Everyday guy , Derek Amato could play the guitar . He is larking around at a BBQ or something , poolside . The other men do silly dives , he runs and does one but has run into the shallow end ... bonk ! head on bottom . He is sorta okay but has a headache and a bump . Later his wife makes him go to hospital . Okay - just a minor concussion but a few days later he starts seeing these 'randomly' arranged blocks of black and white passing over the 'screen of his mind' in a stream . It is considered some strange after effect . He keeps seeing them . Later he goes to a friends place and they have a piano ... he is staring at the keyboard ... something strange and familiar is happening internally . He sits at the piano ... and plays like a maestro . Doctors assume the black and white patters are visual signals in the brain that fire the fingers to do the playing .... but how can he do it and how did it happen ? They have no idea . Its called 'acquired savant syndrome ' . https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Savant_syndrome#Acquired_cases

Interesting in that the some of the departed seem also to come and go as they please ..... ie. sometimes they come and visit here ( even in the 'day time' ) yet they are not like trapped earth bound souls ( like some suggest they are ) , they also go to other places ... or at least they have times of absence here ( from our perspective ) I asked them once ; ''Where have you been , you have been gone a long time .'' the answer was that they have a lot of important work to do ... it isnt 'all about me ' . Again I am thinking of that line from the Gnostic Mass , regarding those ' from whose eyes the veil of life has fallen ' ; '' ... whether they will absorption in the Infinite, or to be united with their chosen and preferred, or to be in contemplation, or to be at peace, or to achieve the labour and heroism of incarnation on this planet or another, or in any Star, or aught else '' Many options might be available, even many options at the same ' time ' (again from our limited perspective ) .

I don’t really have a belief in qi. I do have a daily physical interaction with it like I have an interaction with my coffee table in my living room. To say I have a belief in qi would be like saying I have a belief in my coffee table. Its physical existence is self evident through my direct experience making whether I have a belief in it irrelevant. .The difference is I work on my connection with qi whereas I take my coffee table for granted and don’t give it much attention. . Because I work on that experience with qi the experience deepens and changes. I don’t have much expectation for specific outcomes but I am pleasantly surprised when i see changes or the experience deepens. Regardless I find it a pleasant challenge to work with. I am told it can take you quite far in connecting with spirit or the divine or whatever you want to call it. Rather than believing in this I think it is healthier to just keep going and to continue to observe what arises and be grateful for the experience.
