Â Â No, I haven't forgotten that. It was instigated by my government. We threatened the Japanese and they decided to take action first. Britian had broken the Japanese communications code and they told the US that the japanese were on their way East, likely to Hawaii or the US mainland. The US took no defensive action except to send its aircraft carriers out on maneuvers without any escorts which is never, ever supposed to be done. That analysis certainly hasn't had a lot of 'air time', as I'm reasonably familiar with World War II history, and I've never come across that view before. Â If the US knew the Japanese were coming, why didn't they have all their forces deployed and on high level alert, so that when the Japanese struck, US losses wouldn't be so great, and damage to the future enemy would have been maximized ? If the US government's aim was purely to join the war against Germany,.... then being prepared when Japan attacked would still have been justification for joining. Â Did you know that the Japanese attache's who were carrying the written declaration of war from the Japanese to the Americans were intentionally detained so that they could not deliver their paper to the US government before the Japanese attack and therefore the US could claim that the attack was a sneak attack? Â If there had been any preparation in defense then it would not have been a sneak attack. Â The American people were totally against getting involved in another European war. The government needed a really good reason to get the peoples' support for entering the war. Â And my government recently did the same thing in Iraq. First they tried to blame 9/11 on the Iraqi's but that didn't work. So they then created the lie about weapons of mass destruction. That worked. We declared war. Criminal leaders know that the masses are stupid, thus they re-use the same old tricks again and again. They are time-tested and have been used for thousands of years at least. Â BTW here's another of the many, many, many things not taught in mainstream education: The USA had concentration camps during the war. They detained all US citizens of Japanese descent in those camps and even forced them to work, like detained criminals. The Allied forces only appear less gruesome than Nazi Germany because history is written by the victors. Every country has different means to do their atrocities and different means for covering them up. Churchill committed war crimes - mass murder. Henry Kissinger is another crook of roughly the same caliber. The majority of people are practically drowning in an ocean of propaganda bullshit.
