On a phone call yesterday; Ukraine president Zelensky had to tell Biden to calm down. and that Biden's "help" would only cause Ukraine further hardships. there is a joke in there somewhere, oh yeah, Biden.

When my motorcycle 'check engine' light lights up, its the shape of a car engine .

....... so I go and check the car engine, but nothing is wrong with it .

heya silent thunder----thought I would touch base--

is everything ok?  and that isn't even a bad joke on a worn out cliché, not a rhetorical  question either,

never is everything ever ok.

there are a small handful of medicines that offer relief from the wide spectrum of maladies. For me, I can venture deeper into the forest and converse with the Spirit of Nature. this isn't practical for most folks, although, I expect that you understand it. for some the mountains work, for others the desert or plains, for some the sea, for some the activities of the city.

Hippocrates, Galen, Freud, Bergson, all gave us their views on laughter as therapy.

One of my main influences for this thread is Francois Rabelais; a highly regarded physician of his day. a surgeon, a priest. Highly talented, one of the great deep humanist thinkers of the Renaissance.

In the midst of the plague, with the powerful church ruling over France, Rabelais observed that even a crude sick joke often proved powerful medicine. Rabelais said , "the best medicine."

I do hope that not everything is not ok.

I'm not prescribing anything.

You don't necessarily have to read Rabelais Gargantua and Pantagruel, or watch the three stooges, benny hill, chaplin, buster keaton, steve martin, or any other comic genius. but whether appropriate or not, i hope some levity finds its way to you today.

Incidentally, as a child, I got a hold of and ate an entire months' worth of birth control pills once.

It seems to have worked.  I've never gotten pregnant.
