As a new person to both of these systems... They appear pretty similar in overall instructions (relax and put awareness on LDT and just let go and let the body spontaneously do what it does). Although Kunlun has raised heels and arms / hands which help "turn on" the movements, whereas in S-M you cover the LDT with your hands. But my question is... are the outcomes of both the systems similar / the same over time since they are focused on similar areas and spontaneous body movement? Or, do they open the body up in different ways? I haven't done as much S-M as I have done Kunlun. But I notice with Kunlun, holding the hand positions seems to open up the energy between my palms, which also seems to parallel or spread the energy to the channel between my LDT and MDT. I'm not sure if this is intended or not. I also get more spontaneous body movement doing Kunlun as the raised heels get it kickstarted. I guess before I get going too far in one system or another, I would like to know if the outcomes are similar between the 2 systems? Or, I'm completely missing the mark. That way I can choose a system now before getting too involved. for me, I do have health problems (lower back, bladder / kidneys, immune system, digestion, gut health). So this is for healing, but also for developing Qi and spiritual / mental / energetic growth. Thank you!

Hi there! I wish to practice Michael's stuff for health and growth, but I can't find the DVD's that used to be available. All I see is workshops and expensive $600 memberships. I am out of work and have very little money and can't afford this. Does anyone still have these DVD's / videos they want to get rid of or sell? I don't see anything on youtube either. I don't see them online at all. I think I get the gist of stillness-movement from his book. You essentially relax and keep attention / awareness on the LDT and allow your body to move in any way that comes up. Is that pretty much all to it in simple describing? Too me, it looks kind of similar to kunlun in that you let whatever happens in the body to happen (minus the raised ankles and arm / hand placements). I will read up more here on this site to see if I can find out more about it. Gift of the Tao is another thing. I don't understand the movements from the book. Why are the videos / dvd's no longer available for people who don't want to or can't afford to buy a course / membership? If anyone has any info or access to the DVD's, I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you!

Hi all, I did a search for this, but didn't really find what I was looking for. I notice some systems are pro-visualization, while other seem against it. I was wondering what the reason for this was, and also what are the pros and cons of using visualization in our practice. Thanks in advance! Keith

Hello everyone, I am fairly new to Qigong, and have been looking for a path that combines healing with evolution of consciousnesses. I was trying to find my way between different paths like Ren Xue (https://www.renxueinternational.org/), Neiqi Gong (https://www.neiqigongjiaoshiandrea.com/), Spring Forest Qigong, Zhineng. I finally started practicing the first two methods of Ren Xue (Yuan Qigong) after being inspired by the documentary on the teacher's life (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XPrn_uy3iU0). He seems like a knowledgeable and humble man. The analysis of the different methods seems to be more expansive than the original Zhineng from where he started, also including concepts like the middle channel, the qualities of the heart and development of Shen. I would love to hear if anyone has an experience of transformation in this path. Also is it considered just qigong or is it comparable to Neidan with the elements it contains-overview of the different methods it contains here Thank you in advance, Andreas
