This question is quite unanswerable. Whether 2 systems are compatible can only be answered by the teachers of the 2 systems. But seldom does a teacher happen to know another system in depth. In the old days when the very original system has been taught, undiluted and unadulterated for centuries. Then another teacher may have sufficient knowledge on that system. But these days many system are recent inventions, or significantly altered, then outsiders would have no idea on what is going on.

The entire post reads like a load of AI crap to me.

I practice one system, and I d not have time to practice that to perfection. Doing two or three, I would either have to skip actually absorbing into the methods I know quite well, or skip work.

Also, our distorted mental habits that keep pulling us away into other things, and often interferes in various ways. Tseng Lao-weng quote is interesting because this seems like a different approach than the narrower views often bandied about.

OK. Based on what I have gathered. Neidan takes place in the LDT. MCO was using the idea from Neidan in producing the inner Chi. Then, the inner Chi is circulating in the path of the Ren and Du meridians loop. That is why it was called MCO. In the Chinese language, inner Chi(內氣) has never been defined. Therefore, there should be no attempt to translate what the inner Chi is. It will throw everything off.

If you have an evil mind ... then anything you put your hand to will become evil as you will use it to suit the purposes that your nature has dictated to you . Even good spiritual teachings ! I recently observed this . A person with a 'bad personality problem' got taught something valuable .... they immediately used it as 'ammunition' to be able to 'get' others in their typical mode of behavior . It became an 'evil teaching' . other people that got the same teaching , took it in and applied it to themselves ... then it was a 'good teaching' .

In the past and present, normally, the teacher or master does not want their students to learn other systems. Period. PS If you want to learn more than one system at one time, then, you are not serious about learning any system at all.

I think you are right. I always thought heaven will give energy to those who need it. See Gurus who for hours everyday give satsang or pointing out etc. So it is quite simple really. It is a non doing. The people who will try to open it up and meddle with energies will develop imbalances.

I agree. Oh I like being in agreement. Let’s put what I think you will not agree with in a blind box.

Matter is energy. the only reason you are seeing physical objects, can interact with them and do not phase through them, is because electrons repel each other. Your energy body, on the other hand, does not experience such electron repulsion and could easily pass through objects.

I can give you some limited impressions from what I've seen through this site. When Kunlun was introduced here, the emphasis was on flashy experiences which attracted a lot of attention. There was even a movie trailer where the person was supposedly zapping women and making them scream. A lot of people initially found value in the practice, but there were a lot of weird things going on with the personalities involves and most if not all of the Bums moved on. Kunlun seems to have come from Sifu Jenny Lamb, who as far as I know gave up teaching and practices primarily Pure Land Buddhism and may have been taken without acknowledgment. The Kunlun System seems to be cobbled together rather than a tradition that has been passed down. S-M caught some people's attention. As far as I can tell, I think some Bums got heavily involved and it became their home practice. This practice seemed to be more centered and grounded, and the people practicing it seemed that way as well. Ya Mu stated AFAIK that he received his teaching in a lineaged way and I think he is or was a full time healer. There is a video on his site and his movements don't seem grounded nor his body connected, so I didn't really look any further because those are things I look for in a physical qigong type practice. There was some discussion on pros/cons some time back: Having said that, I have not practiced EITHER system and have no personal experience at all. Also, this all happened over a decade ago and people will likely have changed from that point.

What system do you practice? I do Authentic Neigong by Rudi, and also do Flying Phoenix Qigong by Sifu Terry Dunn and some Tan Tao Pai qigong. Outside of this I don’t really have any time for more neigong practices. Soon I will be starting wing chun and the instructor also teaches some of Damo Mitchell’s neigong. I’m gonna try them out of curiosity to see how it compares with what I’m already doing, but probably won’t make it a part of regular practice outside these classes.

So .... anyway ... the next interesting part of the text is this: "make the path of the Ba, the Akh, and the Shadow, for I am equipped so that (I) might shine therein [B4] (as) an equipped-one. Make for me the path to the place in which Re, Atum, Khepri,[11] and Hathor are therein." We've already talked about the Ba and the akh. But here they include the Shadow (shwty). When the Ba goes to the East it is accompanied by the Shadow. Although the Shadow cannot fly as the Ba does. Usually the Shadow is shown as a black silhouette in the shape of the person. So it is an entity which has form but no substance. In a way it is the reflex of the ba which is luminous, an entity of pure form, an entity of air and not light/fire. Then the text talks about four gods. Here these gods represent four cycles or stages which are outlines in the Book of the Dead. 1. The path of Re (Ra) is a path of seeing - of seeing the sunrise and realising one's identity with the sun. 2. The path of Atum where you absorb the qualities of the sun into yourself back to the primordial substance of your being. 3. The path of Khepri where you perform transformations to universalize your understanding 4. The path of Hathor where you reside in perfect joy/bliss of 'unity'.

In the medieval era of knights didn't they slap each other with gloves as a sign of disrespect to issue challenges. I think it might be compared to that. If you think about it, clan blood feuds and clan genocides were big in past eras. The wrong gesture of disrespect carried the potential to trigger generations long conflict. And so people naturally would take steps to avoid that if possible by being unusually polite. The type of extremely rude and disrespectful behavior commonly found on social media might have been a death sentence in ancient times. In the modern era of police and governments protecting civilians, flight is the response. But in eras before police and governments adopted this role, people generally had to protect themselves or they would not be protected. And so fight was their only option. If they ran into trouble, where would they flee to? All their belongings, their family and everything they owned was in one place. If they left that one place, people could carry all their possessions and valuables away. They might take their wife and sell their kids into slavery. And so running wasn't necessarily as popular an option back then as it is today.

This kind of response is unreasonable. No one can do that, unless it is a very light one. And it didn't mention the primary appropriate response - flight, other than fight back or accept it whatever.

It is a source of on-going wonder to me that people believe that physical processes are necessary for spiritual unfoldment. It does help to keep the spine straight, sleep in good places and eat good food, but those are but adjuncts to the use of right relationship and right intent

The quote from Mathew is about when you can not fight back with anything but your ability to stay centered and say ' Is that all you got ? No matter what you do , my spirit still stands strong' . * The quote from Luke is about when you can fight back and cause change . Life is varied .... and sometimes we need to 'adapt our philosophy' according to circumstances . * Husayn Ali was banished and imprisoned for his beliefs . But he took the ' Matthew approach and that caused people to become curious, admire and eventually follow him . So the authorities would send him somewhere else ; the same would happen there . Even in jails , they would have to move him as the guards started to be effected by him . Eventually he became the leader and founder / prophet of a new world religion .... the Bahai's . https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baháʼu'lláh# Previous to this their forerunners , the Babi's took the 'Luke approach ' ... they were crushed by the Muslim forces . .

many are saying, "no violence" while taking major actions that inflict serious forms of suffering, harm or injury on others short of direct murder although which may and has in some cases incited murder or resulted in deaths!

It depends on the systems. Some can be practiced with others, some can’t.

Substance literally means what stands under ... so for instance the substance of a table might be wood. So the wood is more 'basic' or underlying in the sense that if there were no wood there would be no table (provided it is a wooden one). In the case of internal alchemy the substance(s) are what lies behind appearance. The deeper you go the more 'real' you get ... in the sense of being without dependence on anything beneath. I think the question 'is the MCO real' is the wrong one. It would be better to ask 'does it work?' or 'what does it do?' or perhaps 'how do you make it work' but this question gives rise to the general question 'can you make it work or does it just happen'. Most if not all energy exercises/techniques or practices simply replicate intentionally things that happen naturally. So a certain breathing practice if done with conscious will simply replicates something that would arise naturally if the circumstances arise. For instance vase breathing, abdominal breathing, embryonic breathing and so on are all like this (in my experience). I would put the MCO in the same category. The danger in practicing without first achieving deep meditational states is that you replace the genuine cycling of energy with an imagined substitute which does not and cannot hit the spot so to speak. But equally you have to gain some familiarity with the subtle body and its workings in order to progress and so as you absorb intellectually the principles of the working of the subtle body this in itself stimulates it into action.

We still are tribal, animalistic to a degree, maybe in a 100,000 years it will be ironed out, who knows? We can work on ourselves and stop contributing to violence and teach the new generation better ways but yes, we still live in a violent world.

Cancer is very frightening but depending on the type and spread, it's not necessarily the monster it used to be. It may be presumptuous of me to say but until you find out otherwise there is much room for hope. Yours Michael

So a substance from a philosophical point of view, not a substance as an ordinary dictionarie would define the term in english?
