The great unwashed taking to the streets in Paris. This sort of thing has the quality of a wildfire in that when it reaches a certain size it generates its own momentum. In the case of the current situation in France it reaches a point where significant numbers protest and riot simply as a matter of course and no concessions or repercussions stop them.

On a positive note it is winter and a spell of cold, wet weather could put a dampner on things. If this had happened in summer then it would have grown a lot worse a lot quicker.

Spoke with a wealthy French woman today now resident in the U.K. A retired university lecturer she was contemptuous of the demonstrators stating that they were simply a highly vocal minority and in no way represented the people of France. It should be noted that she is a Macron and E.U. supporter and so is in no way representative of the protesters.

Old Mother May probably gave Macron a miss as she ran cap in hand from foreigner to foreigner begging for concessions. These politico's are beneath contempt.

Well that 'word' may have been premature as there's no official conformation at this time.

Fingers crossed!

Although what difference will it make? Well at least something will be happening.

January the bloody 21st - ridiculous!

I heard this on Sky News earlier today - this is when the second vote would be held in parliament. However, I've not read or heard of it from anywhere else yet.

But, her own words today were that 'We’re just at the start of the negotiations and the start of the discussions' in terms of the NI back-stop. This is the worst kind of stalling and would definitely prompt more letters to be sent into the 1922 committee.

There's a suggestion on the YT feed i'm watching that several events/shootings are still going on. And parliament is in lockdown.

Seems very likely that there was/is several attacks going on around the area of the European Parliament! Still no hard facts other than this is real.

More rumors Graham Brady is booked in to see May tomorrow morning ...

The Tories may have decided not to play May's waiting game, but if they can't get behind one other candidate, it'll fail !!!

Labour can't launch a vote of no confidence due to the DUP backing her (but not her deal).

Could she end up seeing through all these challenges but still have her deal voted down?

Quite possibly.

There's also some possible blackmail going on by May as apparently there's trillions in shares of a kind tied up because of legal shit! So the EU could loose billions or something like that.

Reports of two dead eleven injured now in the Strasbourg shooting.

Yep - she's pulling out the 'big guns' in her attempt to get the backstop time limited, as she reckons this would then give her deal a chance of getting through. She's been going on about how a hard Brexit could cause a banking collapse across the EU, but they're not budging.

Keep hearing more and more about the 48 letters having been reached. This is only sensible. If the EU wont change their stance, but May delays another vote until the end of January on the basis that they will, this conflict just can't be allowed to drag on.

But who will the Tories group round. A Norway plus candidate or a Canada plus candidate?

--

Very sad about the shooter, gun man is know to the authorities as a criminal - not saying what his allegiances are yet.
