Increasing Jing

Recommended Posts

Thanks John, I might give it a try.

Are there any side effects from discontinuing using it? and does your body build up a tolerance to it, that requires a higher voltage to keep getting good results?

The only concern I have is zinc and copper toxicity from the ROP. However, since the device is on the surface, it may not be a problem.

Is this the best co. to order from?

I think your body may hit a top limit, I hear about guys having testosterone amounts of up to 1,000 nl which is amazing high.

I don't think you can develop a tolerance to it, as it's your body thats doing the producing this just facilitates that... but I don't know. Worth testing out and finding. But if that was the case, cycling it would probably be the solution. One month on one month of or the like.

I think the big point though is that when it's on, your body is producing and creating testosterone, sperm, and the like. So basically your adrenals are rolling. So be sure and take time off.

I hear about guys that wear it at night, and it doesn't work so well. When I've worn it at night, I wake feeling tired as hell.

Leads me to believe that you need to give your time to recuperate and all that.

I realize that this thread sort of devolved from Jing to testosterone to cock rings :-/ .... anyways I was pondering Jing from another angle today....

It all started when I pondered why it is that generally men or more turned on visually and women are more turned on emotionally. I remembered reading that the three treasures (jing, chi, shen) are stored in the 3 dan tiens respectively (jing=lower , chi=middle, shen=upper). I also remember reading that men tend to have more chi (which is why we have more body hair) and women tend to have more jing (which is why they have more blood ex:menstration). So the man desires the woman's jing, and the woman desires the man's chi.

Now if jing is a more dense substance, closer to the physical realm, and if men need/want jing, (which is housed in the lower dan tien) then would it not make sense that men would be attracted to the physical apperance of a woman's body?

Would a healthy female body suggest strong jing? If women want/need the man's chi (which is housed in the middle dan tien, thus more related to emotions) then would she not be attracted to a man's emotional quality?

If you think about it, young women have very strong jing, old women do not. Porn stars (not that I'm advocating porn, just making an example) do not tend to be old women, they almost always are young, and good looking (thus a poster child of strong jing). If you are a man have you ever really analyzed why you think a female body looks so nice? Typically we don't tend to analyze this stuff, we just like it and thats the end of the story. But what gives this visual representation such power? is it not really the jing, the energy behind it?

If you consider the case of a really hot babe with some ugly guy (and yes we have all seen it) as a man you are thinking "wtf!!??". But the woman is after the chi, not the jing. Her focus is on the mans middle dan tien, while our focus is on her lower dan tien where the jing is. Perhaps that is one reason that men trend to as a general tend have their emotional focus "lower" than the average woman. Perhaps that is why the saying goes "when a man's jing is full he will no longer desire the woman". I suppose if a man has plenty of jing, he will no longer feel the need for it.

So back to the topic of this thread originally. Maybe one of the best ways to increase jing is to first of all not waste it, and two learn dual cultivation with your partner (you get the jing, she gets the chi, everyone is living happily ever after :)).

Not devolved. It was the point of it from the beginning.

But other jing stuff is welcome here. B)

Not sure... but I was reading in one of the other threads that it's qi that causes the woman to orgasm... which may be what transfers the jing to men?

Lots of maybe's and theory.. but .. who knows.

Like, you attract women who are in similar places as you.... but yea man it could be that. Like there has been a lot of research done that for guys it's more about their sense of self and character rather than looks(housed at third chakra?) for women. Where as for guys it is a lot more about their looks, and their character plays a lesser role.

Probably a way to include bioevolutionary psych and spirituality together... I'll bring it up with Ken wilber.

Regardless I agree with the last bit of dual cultivation.

Interesting - so this hypothesis would propose that BOTH men & women lose jing through orgasm/ejaculation. However, since women don't orgasm as regularly as men during sex - then it is usually only men who lose their jing.

In order to "break even," the man would have to make the woman orgasm while he does too.

And to come out "ahead," he would have to make her orgasm while he is inside her, but doesn't himself.

But wouldn't both then exchange qi in the encounter, regardless?

Hmmm...who knows...all speculation here...

I'm just going to refrain as much as I can for now.

From what I understand (and beleive me it is limited lol) the idea way its "supposed" to work in dual cultivation is that the woman gets the man's chi, and the man absorbs the woman's jing (in a perfect world) ;-).

Another question I have about the whole Jing/testosterone/cultivation subject is..... If you practice such things as the Big Draw solo (my wife and I have a crappy relationship, which is why I ask about solo) does this make one too yang? Cause it sure seems like all I have to do is do the Big Draw solo just once or twice and then I feel uber yang, like an atomic bomb yang. If so, why would this make one so yang, and what can one do to make themselves more yin? (I would prefer to know a practice to make me more yin as opposed to foods, because my food budget is limited).

I realize that this thread sort of devolved from Jing to testosterone to cock rings :-/

Hm. Differing views. I immediately saw the "Ring-of-Power" to be directly relevant to Taoist male sexual energy cultivation because most (by far) of the problems in those sorts of practices have to do with stagnation (obstructed circulation). The by-product of testosterone, DHT, causes muscular tension in the lower jiao, results of binding up of tissues and lack of circulation, and is notoriously difficult to get to and resolve (for many males, not all of course). The RoP prompts micro-circulation on a constant basis not only in the external genitals but in the connected internal plumbing as well. As soon as I saw this thread I saw the potential and ordered one and my lower tan tien breathing is much smoother as a result, with zero additional work. In fact, it's all much easier. I'm that much closer to "smooth-as-silk LTT breathing".

All the marketing of RoP for turning your wang into a WANG, increase testosterone, etc, I see as largely irrelevant and not to my purposes. I see it as simply facilitating smoother circulation, which it does! Historically I've tended to have difficult-to-resolve residual sexual tension, now that's gone, so I actually feel less sexy from wearing the RoP. Though I feel physically stronger, stronger and calmer. Probably not a good popular marketing angle for the RoP website, but suits my purposes fine.

Now if you're young and healthy and have no issues with sexual agitation (or any other varieties of circulation issues in the lower jiao) then it might be that you'd feel no difference from the RoP. People vary. For me, though, I've found it very helpful and very Taoist (if a little silly  ).

I've taken to calling it the "c*ck-shocker" for fun.:D

oooooooooh i seeeeeeeeee, I was wondering how this topic came up, but when you put it that way it makes sense. (That video of Captain Kirk with one around his neck just cracked me up lol)

In another jing related issue (sort of) last night I did the big draw and left most of the energy in my head. Now today I can not stop thinking about sex. I don't really feel the urge to have it, but I just can't stop thinking about it. Could this be a result of having sexual energy from the big draw in my head? I wonder what would happen if I drew it to my middle dan tien and kept it there?

Hi everyone,

Well I can't believe it but I'm actually going to comment on this thread. At first I found it a little loly. But I do see your point on this. I have known a man from 19 to in his late 40's, and he has changed so much. You know it is true that woman always are about the deeper love, and affection... Men are more about the outside and just the getting it done lets say.

Now this is when we are young. I am 40 this year. We change all of us. Now as we mature, men also start to want the deeper side of things. And woman are just like well... are we there yet? So it does seem as if we change our attitudes on this to some degree. And it just could have to do with all this... And every person is different.

I know one thing that I have always noticed was "charisma" I think this is so amazing. I can spot it clear across a room. A person either has it or they don't. And as for all the outside good looks a person can have. If you don't have charisma than, well it's just to bad...lol Now thats just me... Take care Mel

I can't say for sure, but perhaps part of the reason that as men get older they seem to emphasize the physical less (at least some do) might of course be maturity over time, but another reason might be that as he gets older and has lost more of his jing, in the realtive sense he has different jing to chi ratio than that of a younger man (who are notoriously sex obsessed). And perhaps as people go through life and ponder life, this may act as a sort of mind yoga that may clear some of their channels. I'm not sure how charisma relates to this, but sometimes I feel more charismatic than other times lol.

Well, except the traditional theories state that a man loses postnatal JING when he ejacs...not just qi. So if he doesn't ejac, he may not be losing jing...but is he still losing qi? This area is not clear.

And does he really absorb a woman's jing? Or only if she comes?

Well, an endorsement from Trunk means something. So, do you wear this c0ckshocker around 24-7? Does it feel tingly like an electric current is constantly shooting through? How does it work? Sort of like those old electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) pads? I don't really have a desire to get one, but I am more curious now..

So, do you wear this c0ckshocker around 24-7? Does it feel tingly like an electric current is constantly shooting through? How does it work?

Well, as a general rule in most (all?) things: When things are flowing really smoothly, you don't feel anything.

So it is with this. The first couple of days I felt the most, as various stuck stuff was being gentley jostled loose. Some orgasmic energy, minor physical discomforts coming loose, minor emotional stuff, and the repurcussions of where jing is connected and circulates to (all the way to my hands, feet, head).

Now (once things are flowing), I really don't feel much at all from it, except some initially if I haven't worn it for a day or so. I just feel calmer and stronger. Persistent sexual agitation is gone (zero desire to look at p*rn, total non-issue). The LTT breathing practices are smoother, as I said.

How often? Well, the only rule I'd say is don't wear while you sleep. Otherwise the first few days I wore it all the time (well, not in the shower etc). Lately I've been not wearing it for a day or so, then wearing it for several hours or most of a day. Especially if I'm feeling full or stuck there. I really feel it more of a turn-off than a turn-on, helps me circulate. (Though, in the beginning as I said, I felt lots of different things w/ it more vividly.)

That's why I've said that if you've got really good circulation already (young, healthy, etc) you might not feel anything from it. I think it'd be good for those experimenting w/ retention, so your plumbing doesn't get jammed up.

It works because there's an electric potential difference of about a volt between zinc & copper. If it feels electric, only very slightly. The key is that it promotes micro-circulation constantly, w/ no effort on your part. Then whatever exercise you do (LTT breathing, or any aerobic activity) everything is already all set to circulate that much more easily.

Ok, that's enough.

You guys can sort out the rest.

I think it's a really useful tool for the community to know about for Taoist sexual practices & related issues.

Yea, I just don't think through sex there is a loss, I think that it is a coproduction of things. I just know that I feel awesome after sex and recharged rather than when I masterbate alone I feel loss and burnt.

Like I don't think it's a competition or adversarial, but again cocreative. The final culmination of this being a baby.

Like the white tigress green dragon stuff? Reading these books.

This is assuming a loving relationship of giving, not codependence, or taking.

Again not sure.. just reporting how I feel.

Who knows haha, but I'm continuing to pay attention.

I agree with Trunk, except with the DHT comment. Could you give me a source for that or something?

I'm a big advocate of dht, as it seems to be very very positive and the primary masculinizing hormone. It's just it gets a bad rap for causing hairloss in guys genetically predisposed to it.

For me, being 26, I don't feel anything around my dick but I do notice more flaccid length, and I do notice my energy goes up as well as more assertive tendencies and the like as associated with more testosterone.

And I do notice even more of a drive for sex and women... I view this as a great thing, I don't know why all the guys on the taobums seem to want to rid themselves of sexual desire.

But then I'm approaching taoism as it applies to life (emotions, clearing out perceptions and body stored stuff, and cause it just feels good), love (relationships, women, sex and all that awesomeness), and... then maybe to shoot fireballs or something. B)

I terms of ridding oneself of sexual desire, I think it is more about crowd control than anything else. This is nothing more than suppression and there is no evidence that these type of practices are of any benefit.

A quick glance at various groups i.e, cults, and religions, and it will be apparent that sexuality is seen as some lower form of expression and must be suppressed. The arguments are framed that one must yield (sacrifice) one's desires to a higher cause.

Wilhelm Reich makes a very rational argument against this form of abuse.

Right - but that's why there would be energy loss in casual sex for men. This energy would normally be going to supply a potential baby with prenatal jing.

But, in recreational sex nowadays using birth control where the point is NOT to make babies - this energy is instead lost and "wasted" (at least from the man) since it has nowhere to go (except perhaps the woman).

This is probably why most Old World religions taught that sex was intended more for procreation, not recreation. It may have started out as a pragmatic, not moral, guideline.

Yea it doesn't feel that way for me. Even when I do recreational sex, I still feel like I'm more energized afterwards. Especially when I'm with someone who I'm really in tune with. It's like we share and are creational in our energetic exchange.. like 1+1 = 3 or something.

I meant the final culmination of it being creation of a baby. Like the most ultimate form.

I'm just pointing out that there is a general scarcity mentality in some taoist stuff, as if you need to hoard your three treasures.

Taken in the worst way (with biased perception and insecurity applied) hoard them, and keep them from THE OPPOSITE SEX WHO IS TRYING TO STEAL THEM!!!

And that even peoples interpretation of the texts which are inherently neutral, are biased based on their perception and past.

But still, all this is my theory. Could be my life is getting shorter as we fuck.... haha... .... But I don't think so.

Or that I'm extending my life as we fuck... Hue Hefner is pretty old and still rockin it..

Again that said, when I haven't masturbated for three months while doing kunlun, at one point it did feel like all the turn on got sucked out of my dick pulled back and shot up to my head.

But that's masturbation and not sex with another. So not conclusive..

I'll have to go do some research with my girl.

back to the question of increasing jing, has anyone yet mentioned pulsing or rubbing the point just below ball on the center of the foot? I forget what it is called.

Also, if you aregoing to, blow your load before 11pm local time since the 11-1am is the time of natural jing production.

This is from a true daoist lineage holder raised in the tradition (sorry guys if I offended anyone}.

He also said that even thinking about sex lustfully is a loss of energy.

Just passing this on.

Well I can't speak for others, but as for myself I have several reasons for wanting to decrease sexual desire.

The biggest reason is that when my drive is strong it tends to be obsessive for me. I get a total one track mind and can not really concentrate on anything else. This is not blalance, and so I guess really balance in life is what I'm after, and it just so happens that a major area of imbalance as been sex. I suppose if it was gluttony or over eating then that is what I would be concentrating on bringing into blance.

Yes, well put. And this is how I was intorduced to Taoist practices a couple of years ago. I just didn't know what the hell to do with my sex energy. From there I soon went on to Dao Yin and SFQ. After that it all started to flow smoother. Nowadays sex is not a problem.. It's funny to notice how I just don't get that lonely anymore, even during many weeks of no sex.

oh yeah, I started taking the Indian herb Ashwagandha justa a few weeks ago.. Now I'm noticing a nice increase in my overall vitality. I seem to need less sleep and sexual wise I feel more powerful yet harmonic.
