Pademelons   move in closer to my cabin in winter .... probably a bit warmer   and also they get the autumn dropped leaves and fruit from a nearby Chinese raisin tree .

I just 'happened' upon this  on the internet ;  our riverside regeneration project : 

 

 

 

All the green areas that turned to grey  was  invasive bamboo that idiots planted .  I(t has come on since then as a heap of native seedling trees and shrubs have been planted .   A big part of this is to help the breeding of a local  rare turtle that  only lives in our river ... it nearly got wiped out by a virus in recent years , but now seems to be slowly recovering . 

 

The main grey area  (  old grass and mulch in winter ) that turns green ( after some cycles of mowing ) is the NW tip of our riverside festival site . The bit along the river that stays green ( to the right ) is the old original bamboo grove . I asked for that to be preserved and contained  ( that's the grove I sometimes mention that at the right time of year and conditions has green and blue glowing  toadstools,  aqua colored   glowing ground fungus and golden twinkling fore flies - all at the same time , if you are lucky . 

 

To the left of the left side rapids in the shadows is our naturally spa pool . . . great for a massage .  Under the trees on the left are rocks with some deeper parts - turtle holes .  The inside of the turn is a  river sand / pebble beach .

Bamboo removal along a 1km length of the Bellinger River – improving outcomes for aquatic invertebrates, the Bellinger River Snapping Turtle and overall stream health. This area is to be replaced with 3000 endemic rainforest trees in order to restore and expand the Critically Endangered Lowland Rainforest on Floodplain Endangered Ecological Community.

I know it's been awhile since I was last here, and I still don't really plan on being active but there were some pretty cool people that I just wanted to drop in and give an update to. 

 So last summer I moved to Germany to get away from the United States for obvious reasons. I'm very happy I left the US and I love Germany.

Hello Maddie,  Glad to hear things are working out for you in Germany and like you said for obvious reasons!  There is so much  bad mojo and violent unravelling going on in some parts of the world that its hard to believe although tons of people are also pushing back on that!  You are looking good and Take care....
