The dems and repubs could go at each other in the past and come out with half decent compromises but now the divide is so great that many want genocide for the other! Nungali Posted Friday at 10:57 PM 5 minutes ago, BigSkyDiamond said: my accurate observation is that you like to stir the pot. That's bleeding obvious ! And why do you think that is ? You do know what stirring the pot actually does ? AI Overview Cooks stir pots primarily to ensure even cooking and prevent ingredients from sticking or burning on the bottom. Stirring also helps to distribute heat and blend flavors, resulting in a more consistent and delicious final product. Here's a more detailed breakdown: Preventing sticking and burning: Ingredients, especially those with sugars or starches, can quickly stick and burn on the bottom of a hot pan if not stirred. Stirring helps to lift these ingredients off the surface and prevent them from overcooking in one spot. Even heat distribution: Stirring ensures that heat is distributed throughout the pot, so all ingredients cook at a similar rate. This is especially important when cooking larger batches of food or when using high heat. Flavor blending: Stirring helps ingredients to mix and interact with each other, allowing flavors to meld together. This can create a more complex and balanced taste in the finished dish. Maintaining texture: For some dishes, like sauces or stews, stirring helps to prevent ingredients from separating and maintaining a smooth, consistent texture. ------------ It was your choice of phrase , not mine .

I see that view as an expression of resistance or aversion to change. or as a "nostalgia for the good old days" sort of like as people get older and this happens every single generation, they say that the good old days were better and the current world is going to hell in a handbasket. only to have that younger generation say how great that very same world was when they get old. and yet the world is still here with yes problems and yes progress. that is the pattern i observe. Doom and gloom is in the eye of the beholder. So is nostalgia. Looking at your profile you've been a member for 2 and a half months yet you have such a view of how this site was in the past? Not to sound like a twat but you have absolutely NO idea what the original Tao bums was like back in the day. I have been a member since 2009, back then there was a LOT of respected and high level teachers and practitioners who would post on here and there posts were extremely valuable and helpful, then , because of the attitude and negativity that generally pollutes a good forum they left one by one leaving only a few good natured die hard original members. As for aversion to change, what change ? The change of the quality of posts and members ? The change of helpful and quality posts to just everyday general ramblings? Its good Tao bums is still here but it has none of the magic or even the crazy odd drama the site had back in the day. Edited 16 hours ago by ronko
