It was not addressed to me, but I for one would be happy if you did remove it. I’m thoroughly fed up with the politics on this forum. When I post anything about the DDJ, I feel like I am an anomaly. Plenty of other sites if you want a laugh about politics. I came here for discussion on Daoism and find their hardly is any anymore. Also the situation is too serious for jokes imo, we’ve been told here to expect war within 5 years, not funny at all.

After a week of tornados and then a flood, I began navigating through the watery canals that were streets a few days ago.

And the female red dog that lives at an abandoned house on my street, and as has become routine, walked along. I call her red, she wears a coller and looks healthy and well fed. 

On our walks she guards me. Barks and chases vehicles away from me. One day, I didn't realize it, but Red walked into the grocery store with me and the teenagers check out girl and stock boy laughed as they coaxed her back out.

Today, Red made me laugh. A jacked up pickup truck caused sizable waves as it passed through a couple feet deep of fresh canal.

The Red dashed through kicking up waves of her own. She looked over at me and did the dog shaking water off thing.

It caused me to laugh, and reminded me, what a good movement for energetics dog shaking off water is.

Red, as a wise ol' crafty teacher will, gave a look to see if I grasped the lesson.

I was talking to my elder brother about ' child discipline' - he used to be a primary school teacher and things were different back then . he tells me ; 

 

We were out on a school excursion to some exhibit  and at the end we are waiting to get on the bus - its busy and  school kids and other people   are everywhere. he spots some kid  doing something nasty and collars him ; 

 

" What do you think you are doing, you cant do that come with me . You know school policy ; if you muck up on an excursion , you are now stuck with the teacher as 'your buddy'   , so come with me ."

 

" But Sir .... "

 

" No buts !  You know the rules ."

 

So he helps his 'buddy' get up the bus stairs . 

 

"But Sir I ... "

 

" Keep quiet and sit down ." he 'helps' him into a seat next to the window and takes the isle seat next to him  blocking him in . "

 

" But Sir ..... " 

 

" Oh for goodness sakes ; ' But Sir .... But Sir  ' .. what do you want ! ?"

 

" I don't go to your school, I go to another school and we are on excursion too . "
