True, as the goal of meditation is to learn thoughts are not real.

The goal of guided meditations is to get you to think, ‘who the f*ck are you to tell me what to do.’.

Stock market contrarians will tell you that by the time ordinary people on the street are saying to invest in X, it´s time to get out.  Opinions are like that too: if everybody believes it, it´s probably no longer true.

Love it !

Cosmic massage hippy at markets ; ''Would you like a chakra balance ?''

Me; '' No thank you .''

'' Why not ? ''

'' Because I have spent  several decades in yogic and magical meditation, practice adjustment and fine tuning of them .. I would  not want any random person  'balancing' them  for me , even if they could  ..... thank you ... have a nice day .''

Yes.

See the case of the man living a normal life with 90% of his brain missing.

I read about this man in a Dutch book, alas not available in English. The title says

“My brain does not think. I am the one that is thinking.

The picture reminds me of The Chariot, Tarot card, which probably was based on the chariot allegory by Socrates. But in the tarot card there’s no control yet, there are no reigns.

@Apech I did take you serious and my response was serious. There are various stages in meditation. Just follow your nose (it knows the way, pun intended :D) in what to do next; if that’s thinking, then thinking it is.

Sure there are  -   in   the court cards  ;)

Regarding the Chariot in the Tarot one has to understand what the chariot represents though   and why the Chariot tarot card shows the charioteer without physical   reins .

Here is another 'one ' ... about how the 'brain works'  and how we 'learn' stuff  :

Everyday guy , Derek Amato could play the guitar . He is larking around at a BBQ or something , poolside . The other men do silly dives , he runs and does one but has run into the shallow end ... bonk !  head on bottom .  He is sorta okay but has a headache and a bump .  Later his wife makes him go to hospital . Okay - just a minor concussion but a few days later he starts seeing these   'randomly' arranged blocks of black and white passing over the 'screen of his mind'  in a stream . It is considered some strange after effect . He keeps seeing them .

Later he goes to a friends place and they have a piano ... he is staring at the keyboard ... something strange and familiar is happening internally . He sits at the piano ... and plays like a maestro .

Doctors assume the black and white patters are visual  signals in the brain that fire the fingers to do the playing .... but how can he do it and how did it happen ?   They have no idea .

Its called  'acquired savant syndrome ' .
