Do What Thou Wilt

I liked her short book Anthem.  I don't think Ayn Rand would be half bad if she hadn't taken her philosophy to such an extreme.

however you reminded me of this video-

If power is dominion (including over others) and something to aspire to, then why do you call your fellow posters monsters?

Do you know what inspires us to make art?

Also, having dominion over someone else can easily cause the one dominated to call them a monster.  Is English your first language?

Bad poetry and trying to sound profound—back in my day, girls would say that that’s such a pretentious way to impress one of them in the hopes of sleeping with them, and guys would say that the really profound and artistic would know how to profit off of it since the crappy stuff is free and all over LiveJournal where all the pseudo goths and fans of the old ‘90s film The Craft dumped their bad writing.

All the good boys and girls might agree that you probably should just buy a Moleskine journal or wait until you get your PPJ activated here.

Just for the record, and to stop your whining, I spoke with Sean long ago, and he has no problem with my posts, as should have been evident by his not interfering with them.

We finished watching "Strange Angel" which is based on the life of Jack Parsons who was a student of Crowley/Thelema. The series portrays the pitfalls of naive persons giving in to what is believed to be a higher calling/authority. Well worth watching!

I read the book ages back .....   its a vid now ?  <checks it out >  .. a series .  Was it a good watch ?

I think its a great story though !

... the 'fun' of it all !   Living in a magical hippy mansion with a bunch of others while working for the 'space race' ... setting of explosions for a joke , fencing on the   front lawn with L. Ron Hubbard  ..... having your wife and Hubbard take off with the savings account and your boat .....     :)

I highly recommend watching it! The sexual tantric rites were pretty much anything goes and if I remember correctly, the highest grade was same sex tantric rites.

The Moonchild (Babalon Working) workings failed and I believe Parsons wife's role was to give birth to that child.

all the secrets you have heard and known

about Aleister's  intervention.

Illuminati, bad salami and salmonella poison

insane pain inside your brain

and mindless revolution.

Rajneesh, Maharaji

the will of the just shall be maintained

by 'righteous God-sent' nukes .

Roll it all into a ball

I wouldn't know, but does it really take much foresight to realize that a person being dominated would call their master a monster?

It strikes me odd that some of you seem to have a world view that you feel is "correct" and yet, all you really offer us in the way of understanding it is to denounce other world views or make jokes and obscure references that only your own kind would recognize.

This says to me that

1.  You have no intention of converting the world to your "correct" view

2.  The reason for this might be to impose some unknown authority over situations to advance your own personal agendas.

The fail here is that

1.  You really could care less about things being "correct"

2.  Unless under your rule, people don't really give a shit about what you believe.

Essentially, you are

1. Not trying to make righteous adjustments to injustice proving that your "correct" method is a sham

2. Limiting your power to local control.  Trying to come here and bully me to behave like you is illusionary masturbation on your part, as I have no need and see no reason to obey you

The real kicker in all of this is people like yourselves claim to denounce ego, when everything you do is entirely based upon ego itself!

I and others  have been offering our views on this  all along   ... and pointing out where Crowley's world view, as adopted by you, is often wrong and mistaken. Thing is, you are so blind to it, you are claiming it never happened !

Some here have put themselves on the line to  try and make adjustments to injustice ... ask Earl Grey about his humanitarian work , ask Nungali about his Amnesty International, refugee and torture victim relocation work .... and the others , ask them .

What is your experience in the field (aside from posting your musings on the internet about power and dominance ) ?

Have you ever thought why YOU are copping all this and not  other posters ?  If 'we' are what you say we are , why would we not pick on others to point these things out ?

I guess ' we'  are everyone else here  and the 'other side' is just you  ?

Do What Thou Wilt

(BTW I never said I was a disciple of Crowley, I said I was his student (and at times, his opponent) also, I never claimed to be a Thelemite, and yes Do What Thou Wilt is the Law of Thelema, but it doesn't only belong to them)

Claim Wisdom if you like, as will I

Just for the record and to stop YOUR whining, here’s a little analogy to consider: a disenchanted loony can write as many absurd letters as he wants to a magazine, and an editor can decide to print it or not for others to see, but that doesn’t mean questions of his sanity or his self-serving logic are answered for and resolved.

If anything, being published is a reminder that people with “unique” personalities and “idiosyncratic” views exist, whether it is Billy Graham or the Marquis de Sade, or Toni Morrison and Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, all of whom have had their works available at your nearest bookstore and questions of taste and good art not deciding factors in what allows them to see print.

To utilize your sig:

it's only possible to see people when one is able to see the world as others see it.

You are precisely as big as what you love and precisely as small as what you allow to annoy you.

of course I’m crazy, but that doesn’t mean that I’m wrong.

I think your hero would hate you

Aside from the fact that he wouldn’t hate me because he was quoted as saying that he was agnostic about everything, you also seem to have missed the part in my signature that quotes him as saying “Everyone has a Belief System, or BS; the trick is to not take YOUR OWN BS too seriously.”

I am finally settled upon the religion of Thelema.  I have struggled against this faith for 20 years, nearly as long as it has been that I was aware of it, but fate, and logic, will have their way.  This religion is authentic, though it does not alter destiny.  Rather, it embraces it, and encourages us to act it out.  I have struggled with a method to avert it, but I know that the Will of mankind is too strong, and that the ancients will never allow us to stay idle- we will always need people that Do What They Wilt. ... I should also add that RAW read a lot of Crowley and cited not just his works in his own writing, but made Crowley a character too.

Mom, opens her arms wide and smiles at you.

She scoops you up and cradles you.

Then she lovingly feeds you the elixir of health, disease resistance and vitality... from her own body.

All while singing, cooing and cuddling you.

now that's power

yeah and when did I write that?  And how long ago did this dispute start about my seeming inability to comprehend it?  And where does it say that I am a Thelemite?  It merely says that I accept it is a valid religion, and that Do What Thou Wilt is a valid Truth.  Youre such a troll, you know that right?

First thing is, you’re so certain of how he’d react based on a few quotes in my signature and already are revealing you’ve never read his work.

Second, RAW is the kind of guy who would question your beliefs if you aren’t questioning your own—anyone who reads Coincidance, Prometheus Rising, or The New Inquisition can show you he’s quite the literal thought provoker.

Last, be very careful as you’re now citing an author you have never read or know anything about to me and at least three other people posting in this thread who often reference and read a lot of RAW mention all over the forum. This is a caution to stop painting yourself into a corner because you’re sounding a lot more foolish now.
