Guys the Kunlun Only Forum, can exist here, right now. In a form that gives pretty good control to who ever wants to be the SYSOP.

What I mean is Mr. KUNLUN should start the KUNLUN FORUM in the Personal Practice section(Chris?). There can be subheaders for Practice, Philosophy, Problems, Brickbats and Kudos. I don't think Sean would object. It might clear up the main discussion board a bit and we can always reroute Kunlun questions there.

Best of all Mr Kunlun acting as the SYstemOperator could delete(ruthlessly or not) whatever posts they wished. Give warning(?) and delete to your hearts content. You play the sysop the board equivalent of king. For practice I just deleted posts from my Personal Page.

Hit a button they're gone. If the world worked this way it would be happier and much less populated. B)

I just pm'd you Mantra.

I'm hesitant to create a Kunlun-only subforum here because I think part of the vibe here is that The Tao Bums is system agnostic, it's more for discussing how each of our paths intersect. Creating a kunlun-only forum would kind of open the floodgates to potentially creating dozens of other subforums for all the other great systems people are approaching, you know?

I'm totally wiling to help setup and even moderate if needed a kunlun forum over at kunlunbliss.com.

The idea about the paid access had more to do with the way the next incarnation of the pillars of bliss BOOK be distributed. Instead of selling it as a paperback, I suggested making the book digital and cost $25 one time or even yearly to get access to, with the understanding that its a work in progress and you will get access to free updates, etc. We could even automatically give free access to anyone who has already purchased the paperback by importing the Lulu purchase database with the membership software database, so people who already paid for the paperback and have limited funds don't have to pay again.

No need to set up a forum i wont be posting anything negative towards Kunlun neigung or Max, i do like to question some of there practices and find out more of how and why they say it works.

This is why I think it makes sense to make book purchase tied in with forum membership. That way it's not just an arbitrary payment for forum access, it's just that you need to own the book to be part of the discussion. There could also be a second level to the forum available only to those that have attended seminars.

ie:

Lobby (anyone, including guests can post)

Pillars of Bliss (general members area for people who at least own book)

Golden Dragon (people who have attended at least one seminar)

Alien Mothership (for members who have returned from alien space voyages)

etc.

:)

Sean

Count me in

I like the idea of a private forum for those who are actually doing the practice. We have been through enough defending of Kunlun that now it would be good to just focus on the issues that come up and the shared experiences without all the noise from those outside of the experience.

Maybe charging a small fee would be good. It could keep Sean supported and create a real sense of value in the minds of those who are participating in the in-depth discussions.

As far as Masters posting on forums. Qigong master Chunyi Lin and Jim Nance do PHONE healing.

The voice is the "generative force" or bliss energy -- and the phone is a really good way to do a transmission.

The best is eye to eye of course.

Neither is available over the computer really.

This is why I listened to Max's radio interview -- while I really saw no point in watching the videos.

I'll watch them when I get a chance as the John Chang video is certainly inspiring! haha.

There's a difference between inspiration and energy tranmission.

For example click on the "IN THE NEWS" section of http://springforestqigong.com

There's 3 free radio interviews with qigong master Chunyi Lin. In the final one he does a phone healing with the D.J. It's pretty cool.

See here's an example of the "group phone healings" that Master Chunyi Lin is doing.

There are somethings Chris and definetly Sifu Max WON'T talk about on a public board. The only way to open up the discussion more is to make the board private.

Is there that much "secret" stuff really happening? A forum to discuss a practice where all you need to do is let go? And you use to practice by yourself for 7 or 8 years.

Guess I have to wait for the transmission, still ........ sounds interesting ?!?

I DO like to play devil's advocate :D the positives mentioned are all correct, but this is not that appealing to me. The thing I like most about TTB are the people. People are always going to say things you don't like, and you can (should ?) learn to deal with that.

I'm not actually on any other boards. (Work thing, my excuse for surfing here is because it's my religion)

I don't like to pay $$ for information. If its good enough people will want to pay. Which is why I eventually subscribed here, realized I'd been getting better info that most of the books I'd paid for this year :)

I don't really want to know what people who have done more practice than me are dealing with. It's a psychology thing, just see how many questions get a "me to" answer here. And it pre-disposes people to look for those experiences (Actually that's probably a vote for Sean's separate level idea, oh well :) )

Most of all. I would miss you all if you disappeared from here.

I really don't see the Kunlun discussions here developing much farther then they have.

I would like to see them continue here too , But a board on the actual kunlunbliss .com would make sense , especially for people worried about what is happening what they are experiencing. We (TTB) are top goggle hit for kunlun bliss :)

Especially if Max would like to communicate with past / prospective students that way, I would be very interested. It seems like Australia might be a while off...

vibe on this board ? this board might as well be called "the kunlun bums", there is 8 topics in general that all deal with kunlun and they are pretty much the only active topics. if it isn't about kunlun people aren't posting in it.

this forums statement is made once you visit the main page

Don't let this intro scare you though. Most of us are syncretic at heart. Discussion is encouraged to wander eclectically across a wide range of spiritual thought and practice, whether Buddhist, Yogic, Tantric, Judaic, Advaitic, Christian, Islamic, Shamanic, Occult, "New Age", Integral... As long as you are up for a good time, you're welcome to discuss your path.

sounds like this has been lost and if you don't like kunlun you're "badmouthing" it.

Who are these people, these faces? Where do they come from? They look like caricatures of used car dealers from Dallas, and sweet Jesus, there were a hell of a lot of them at 4:30 on a Sunday morning, still humping the American dream, that vision of the big winner somehow emerging from the last minute pre-dawn chaos of a stale Vegas casino.

I agree. Too much of one subject creates a stifling effect on the board. People who aren't into it find there discussions unanswered or moved to the bottom while the same old subjects get the posts.

In Ian's words "I am (part) the problem" since I'm another Kunlunie . Hopefully the problem will solve itself when Kunlun gets a good site or is segragated.

Michael.

P.S. Remember Kunlunie was Trade Marked here today, 12/21/07. If and when it becomes a cult I get 10%.

no dude, you have me all wrong. all i am saying is that this forum is going to lose a lot of activity if a kunlun forum is made. everything that isn't in agreeance with you doesn't mean it's negative - it just means it isn't your opinion. fact is that most of the discussion on this board is about kunlun; if a board just for kunlun is made you can kiss activity here bye bye.

Dude...do you have to try and create animosity with every post?

{snip}

If you don't get what I am tallking about you probably spend half your life arguing with people and frankly, I don't want to interact with you.

everything that isn't in agreeance with you doesn't mean it's negative - it just means it isn't your opinion.

Spot on Mantis.

I love you Cam, your posts are one of the reasons TB is the cool place that it is. And while I have enjoyed watching the changes in your posts as your world got turned upside down by Kunlun. I am worried for you.

I know you are trying to deal with a lot of stuff but you seem to have lost tolerance towards, well anyone who doesn't agree with you. There was no animosity there...... the world is but a mirror of the self.

Peace be with you.

if a board just for kunlun is made you can kiss activity here bye bye.

Really that is my worry too, you can't stop change but ........... I can worry about it :( Need to go read Chang Tzu

Let's say you found what you were looking for now all you want is to practice and learn.

Fair enough, thanks.
