  1. I think there is always a problem with paranormal phenomenas initiated by the subject's will only. Meaning that a lay person, a common person without much cultivations, can't duplicate the experiences. To deny the existence of these abilities just because a lay person can't duplicate them is totally incorrect. In fact, I see little points in proving them. Now, what that person can do with his or her powers would be interesting to see. What if such powers are being used as mind weapons? As means for that person to advance his or her agendas? Or even as means for the nation to advance its own interests in the world?
  2. I am sure there are and I think there are certain supernatural powers that can easily be cultivated than others. Such as psychic abilities dealing with the mind and the conception of the mind. I am pretty sure psychic powers to influence and change our physical world are more difficult to cultivate.
  3. Ok, seriously, I haven't been able to get any answers from this, on several message boards. Why would one begin to hear clicking and tapping sounds during meditation? I hear them usually at night meditating an hour before sleep. The sounds came from usually in front of me, by the computer desk. Sometimes, they came from the ceiling or the closet by my left. As soon as I was done with my meditation, the sounds would stop. Now, when I meditate in the morning, after waking up, I would not hear the sounds at all. This has been going on for several years, as soon as I started to meditate as part of my spiritual cultivations. I am no stranger to the kundalini energy since it rised up when I was 18. I am in my late 30s. During meditation session, I can feel and see the Chi energy. Recently, I have been practising the skeleton meditation. Thanks.
  4. Hello, I decided to sign up because maybe it is the time I should seek some clarity about my life experiences. A bit of my background. I am in my lat 30s and lived in USA. When I was 18, I experienced the Chi energy or Kundalini energy rising after I woke up from a dream. I dream that I was a scholar warrior back in the Han dynasty. It seems like in the dream I was circulating the micro-cosmic orbit by jumping up from the bottom of a cliff. Did a twist in the mid air and landing on the ground...while my point of vision or focus was on my navel area. I saw 2 men in front of me. Then, I woke up and the Chi energy was engulfing me all over for 4s. I was HOT and on fire. Blue and whitish lighting intensified on my forehead. When I opened my eyes, I could still see the light. Later, I was told, I was seeing the color of the Chi energy. After this experience, I got interested in meditation, something simple and without any clear ideas what I was doing. However, I could reproduce the micro-comsic orbit within 5 to 10 minutes of meditation, for several weeks. And the Chi energy was always hot but with a very short duration. Before this experience, I went through a process of deep self reflection and analysis, while I was in college and majoring the wrong field. Back then, I have no ideas what was happening to me. I could consistently reproduce the experience until I transferred to another college. Obviously, my chakras were all open and obviously, as you guess it, I began to have dreams about my past life (I think). I left this college because my spiritual experiences as well as the emergence of my past life seemed to be in conflict with the college's academic agenda (another major life challenge I was facing). I left this college and transferred to another and finally got my degree, which I cared little about. At this point, I tried to put everything behind me and getting a job and to pay my bills. 3 years ago, I got laid off by the company I worked there for a long time. It has been in these 3 years I begin to study in meditation and to further examine what I was experiencing. And trying to understand the implication of my past life and my past life karma. Something I have been dealing with over 10 years. Only recently I have been reading up the works by William Bodri. I finally have some ideas about my own dharma. Up to the age of 18, I was practicing the Mahayana school of meditation, without knowing it. Although I didn't actively practicing meditation in the traditional sense, I was meditating either in my dreams or in my sleeps. After years of intense mental examination about my life (before I turned 18), I was awakened and initiated into my first samadhi. When the vision of my past life emerged, I was going into another stage of samadhi, which I think I am only now slowly coming to grasp the nature of it, after more than 10 years. Knowing what I know now about my life, I am finding it hard to set myself a new life's path. I am at lost at the moment because I feel that I know where I want to go but not sure how to get there. Sorry for writing up a very dense post.
  5. New here too....and have many questions...

Actually, it is more like trying to see if anyone here shared the same Dharma that I did and what sorts of wisdom and insight one can provide. Perhaps,it may illuminate my path clearly. For one thing, I got the chance to read about William Bodri. Very rewarding reading. His works answered many of my questions. So now, I want to read more about his master. Well, this is a message board discussing the Tao and Buddhist teaching, I would assume I would encounter individuals who shared my Dharma, to some degree.
  6. New here too....and have many questions...

Fellow ATS members... I like this message board since it is very focused in Chi and the Tao. I just have a very magnificent dream this early morning. In this dream, it was like it is telling me my whole life is about to change to something huge. The dream used a huge tall building to manifest the meaning. Then, the building was speaking to me. I just hold on and keep on meditating and cultivating. I am sure I would gain enough mind clarity soon. Yeah, once you have attained certain degree of enlightenment, you don't want to live in darkness and surrounded by people and society who are still living in the dark.
  7. New here too....and have many questions...

Sigh....you sound like one has to surrender one's Dharma to the impurity and illusion nature of our world because we are powerless against the cycles and sufferings of Samaras. Ever since I was 18 (I am in my late 30s), I have overcome this world and attained my first Samadhi. Yes, I have many Samadhi to attain. So, it is irrelevant who is trying to change what. I don't need this world. I am not attached to this world. Therefore, I don't need to change it. The question is how do I make use and manifest of my Dharma in this world. A purely existential question. Not necessarily in America, of course.
  8. So, you are talking about sexual pleasures...... I think that's a whole new level of discussion here about retaining your jin energy by not leaking. Personally, the only pleasure I actually indulge myself in is photography. It isn't so much about the ego. It is more about indulging one's mind in the technology, old or new, in order to understand it to create beautiful photographs. Not sure it if is a bad thing. I have some literature on it written by Master Chia. Never really have the time to read it. Let's just say that my urge isn't that great that I need ways to retain my sexual energy while experiencing pleasures....
  9. New here too....and have many questions...

Good question. I think I want to acclimate more merits and to continue to follow my Dharma. I know I am on my path to enlightenment, and hopefully to experience a greater degree of Samadhi. However, I am not sure what I need to do to actualize my Dharma in this world, in America, in my social surrounding.
  10. Doubt it because the sound don't happen all the time even though I have reached a higher degree of the micro-cosmic orbit in my morning meditation. I can hear my own internal chakras vibrations though. That, those are internal. I can hear them in any where and in any time. I can hear them in 4 distinct frequencies.
  11. Nah, there is no need to stop meditating because of the noise phenomena. I am not meditating because of the noise. I am meditating because I want to reach to another stage of Samadhi. Two, hopefully, I would gain enough mind clarify to move forward with my life. There is no need for me to stop meditating. I am not experiencing Chi Kung psychosis. Two, my chi isn't hot and so it won't damage my mind by meditating too long and too often.
  12. No need. It is 6:47 pm Eastern time in New York. I am in front of my computer and typing this post. I am not hearing any clicking and tapping sounds. When I meditate tonight, usually around 10pm or so and an hour before bed, the sounds would occur.
  13. No, they aren't building sounds. I can only hear them during meditation, at night. I got used to them. In the past, when I hear the noise, I would see red flashes of light appearing in my third eye.
  14. Actually, when I get drowsy, I know I am losing my concentration and normally I would not hear the noise. Normally, I couldn't even complete the micro-cosmic orbit in any degree. The sounds only happen when I have my full concentration and with some degree of Chi circulating. I always thought that in my concentrated, meditative state, my Chi gets projected and causing the noise to happen. I always meditate in my room and that's where the noise would usually occur. I can put some effort to meditate in another room to see if the same noise would appear.
  15. Mostly during my night meditation. Not in the morning or afternoon. I have the habit of sleeping late. I find my night meditation becomes more productive if I meditate before 10pm.
  16. Limits of Practice

I don't think it is burn out. Is more like the Chi energy or the Kundalini energy is cleansing your body and your chakras. And at times, these cleansing can take the form of images coupled with moral issues. I will assure you that you would have many more of these experiences to come. The cleansing process is a life time journey. I think a real burn out is called Chi Kung psychosis. You can google it.
  17. But why not in my morning meditation? I always feel that I get most of my morning meditation than in at night. I get most...I mean I feel that I was circulating the micro-cosmic orbit more successfully judging by the intensity of my Chi.
  18. Hahahaha.....of course, I usually ignore them since the purpose of my meditation is to reach the next stage of samadhi...
  19. Wow, I thought the world only has few people like "us." Mine happened (kundalini energy rising) when I was 18. After waking up from a dream, dream of my past life (at least one of them). I am in my late 30s.
