  1. Black smoke

Thanks for clarifying. Do you see energy stuff often? I know nothing as vivid, you said. But in the past? Some people tend to be more visual with things. Sounds like you were just seeing some energy moving. Did you feel any energy sensations with the exhaling? Did it feel good to exhale? When doing meditation and practices, the unusual and strange does tend to happen more often. I would just caution not to get too caught up in such phenomena, it could mean something symbolic, or maybe it was just you seeing some energy moving. 😊 What’s your intuition say about it?
  2. Black smoke

I had a friend who was a heavy smoker who would do something similar to yoga's "breath of fire" for a few seconds and then exhale a plume of smoke. Most likely had some smoke trapped in the deep sacs of his lungs, I don't know. It was a pretty cool party trick, and a little unnerving for his health.

  6. when you stand, make sure your weight is distributed evenly from the top to the bottom. all of your weight shouldnt be placed on your quads/thighs... it should be stacked and supported by spine, hips, knees and feet... so that no one place is stressed more than another. but yes your legs will shake... i've done tai chi for almost 20 years since my mid teens... and my legs definitely would shake with any type of training for years (more or less)
  7. When I was starting out, I bought a few books on Neidan & Inner alchemy. I read them, dabbled, even had a Kung fu teacher who practiced himself and would give me pointers and tips. But it seemed overly complex, some of the instructions seemed contradictory and in general - just did not sit well with me. Qigong on the other hand, felt more natural and was easy to practice. I went with the easy route... glad I did.
  8. It can get messy I also think an important step in figuring things out for ourselves. Intellectual understanding vs experience, and all that jazz.
  9. I think a lot of people get tired of looking for the answers outside of themselves, and decide to turn inward to look.
  10. Mystical Christian Thread

Happy Easter everyone 😊 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
  11. When starting off standing each day, I always rock myself (very small movement) back onto my heel, then forward onto my toes, ever so slightly until I find the middle point in balance. Also, make sure your weight is evenly distributed throughout your body and that your not favoring that right leg in some way.
  12. Thankyou

    Welcome 😊
  13. Healing Hands - Maybe?

That is great to hear 😊
  14. Healing Hands - Maybe?

FP is a good system to explore energy. And the fact that Sifu Dunn, Earl Gray and other advanced FP people are here, not only to answer questions, but have provided many insightful posts to browse through, is a great resource and can help you tap deeper into the system. Simply by having that conscious connection with them, will help you relax and accept the energy that comes - which is very important. Have fun! 😊
  15. Mental and physical routes to enightenment

I've always thought enlightenment is an infinite evolving process... like there is no ceiling or destination... just more subtle refinements, and continuing movements. Therefor there's nothing to arrive at.... unless you define the term in some way - which I don't want to do
