I think we could all become slaves of AI.

What if people could be enslaved but convinced them that they were not.  Make them work 14 hour days for the benefit of some feudal lord, but give them the illusion that they were actually free.  As I see it, the world today is basically one of feudalism, although veiled behind a complex system of debits and credits.

When I think about AI, I am constantly reminded of the book Anthem by Ayn Rand.  Surveillance historically has been limited by the fact that there must be someone watching it, and a small group of people, can't closely watch everybody at the same time.  With AI, that changes.  The systems could theoretically be nearly omnipotent, tracking individuals every movements, facial expressions, conversations, ect.  What sort of feudalism does that lead to?

Am I real or Ai ? Maybe Coby is AI?  What about that broadcast you watched of your leader ?  Was that really them ? Maybe its a plant  /  the party feels it performs better / the   leader is dead and they dont want anyone to know / or its feed from 'the enemy' ?

Soon , ANY electronic  recording of a person will be in doubt .

I watched the beginning of a doco on a castle last night ... the  'drone fly by' image of it looked ... weird .  Then during the opening credits 'AI generated images may be shown in this documentary  ' - even though they had real footage as well , as they showed some of that next .

I turned it off .

I feel very despondent about this AI thing. To the point of being glad I’m old and will die soon.

Not theoretically, China schools use this kind of system in class room already.  They can monitor your micro expression and movements.

Capitalism is a sophisticated form of slavery which has the slaves convinced they are free.

AI is giving the slave owner a perfect tool to control.  It is not slavery by itself.  However if it is AL, artificial life form, then ultimately we would involve in being slave of AL/AI or we enslave them.

This is a very real and pertinent topic that everyone should be discussing. We all have reason to be highly suspicious and outraged at this new technology and how it's implemented-considering the vast majority of us have already been classified as "useless eaters." I see the elites salivating at the broader implementation spanning all facets of our existence-to keep us inline, ensuring that we remain docile little consumers who won't even have a chance to speak out against tyranny as our "micro aggressions" and pre-crime thought give us away. Humanity is on the cusp of entering Neo-feudalism fuelled, funded and promoted by technocratic maniacs. I'm looking at you Fink, Thiel, and a bunch of other people behind the scenes that remain ever nameless. Good post Cobie.
