It's also not opposed to socialism

Acts 2:44-45 King James Version (KJV)And all that believed were together, and had all things common; and sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.

Just ignore this guy. Every now and then we get someone too stupid to realize if we wanted to have some dipstick push their bronze age fantasies, we would not be on a site call Dao Bums.

Discussion might be considered a form of brain competition.

If you favor ignoring me and avoiding discussion.

Aren't you proving me right, when I say atheists do not like to compete?

Point taken. I’ll say this though in defense of the Bronze Age religions: they produced some wonderful cultural artifacts. Beautiful myths, literature, art, monuments, etc. It seems their modern successors have nothing to offer but multi-level marketing schemes, energy drinks, and weird diets.

Then even “socialist” economies are capitalist. No, trading stuff is not capitalism.

Trading has rates of exchange.

It doesn't matter if your unit of exchange is a goat or a dollar.

Its still financial transaction in the private sector, within a free market, invoking capitalism.

"Bronze age religion."

Well, my nephew was baptized within the christian faith a few weeks ago.

I'm not sure if he should be baptized considering he is fairly woke and leans atheist in much of his lifestyle & views. It was his choice to be baptized. But I don't know if I consider him to be a christian, I think of him as being an atheist. As his words and life choices trend more atheist than christian.

Long story short, there were about 50 other people being baptized on the same day. Which is A LOT. Usually I only see 2 to 5 being baptized at any single event. 10 at the most.

Facebook CEO mark Zuckenberg recently converted to christianity from atheism. Andrew Tate converted from atheism to christianity. Then later he became a muslim, claiming that he couldn't respect modern day christians.

I think many atheists around the world are becoming disillusioned with atheism and converting to other things.

It will be interesting to see what the future holds if this observation is accurate.

The demographics don't seem to support your position.

Those statistics were compiled by those who said china would dethrone america to become the #1 economy in the world.

China constructed "ghost cities" to artificially inflate their GDP.

Those stats are likewise artificially inflated.

What happened was they recategorized theists who believe in a higher power but do not belong to any specific denomination as atheist.

I've been expecting a sharp correction to those stats for upwards of 10 years now.

This has nothing to do with China at all.

The united states used to promote christianity, democracy and capitalism in the world.

Just as china promotes atheism and socialism.

When you see claims that the number of atheists in the world is increasingly rapidly.

It should be natural to question whether it has political implications from special interest groups like china who are known to push such narratives.

Imagine thinking Andrew Tate and Mark Zuckerberg are people you want to emulate

I actually wrote a small article on Andrew Tate back in 2015 & followed him ever since.

Completely different person in 2015 in contrast to 2023.

I guess I'm one of the few that likes Mark Zuckenberg and Elon Musk. I admire their ability to compete.

… china …

Alongside China's astonishing economic boom, an almost unnoticed religious boom has quietly been taking place. “Over the past four decades, Christianity has grown faster in China than anywhere else in the world.”

Here's a photo from Andrew Tate back in 2016.

There’s a word for that, it’s called “bootlicking” and it’s actually very common.

That was the trend for russia under stalin.

Maybe in a few decades we'll see china emerge as a christian nation.

Bootlicking is insincere admiration for ulterior motives of personal gain.

My admiration is sincere.

Discussion has always been something I'm good at. It comes easy to me.

What is hard is improving in areas where I struggle.

Strengthening weak links in the chain.

I think most can relate to this.

Please sit down as this may come as a shock to you. The USA is not the world. :P

From 2000 to the present, the global Christian population increased at 1.18% , atheists 0.29%.

The only thing I could find about Zuckerberg and any religious practice was this:

Quote

The Facebook founder has alluded to his spirituality in the past. During a trip to China in 2015, Zuckerberg ”offered a prayer for peace and health for the world and for my family” in front of Wild Goose Pagoda in Xi’an. “Buddhism is an amazing religion and philosophy, and I have been learning more about it over time,” he wrote on Facebook at the time. “I hope to continue understanding the faith more deeply.”

https://qz.com/876574/facebook-ceo-mark-zuckerberg-says-hes-no-longer-an-atheist

Generally speaking, it doesn't require faith exactly.
