What's up fam!

I'm a life long student who has studied everything from Astrology, Gnosticism, Hermeticism, Ifa, Kabbalah, Kamite Spirituality, Taoism, Voudun to astronomy, data analysis, and computer programming.

Simply looking to learn, add value where I can, and sharp each other sword.

Cheers!!!

Hello themill_worker, and welcome.

Your membership is approved and we're happy you found your way to us. We look forward to accompanying you on some of the way that you still have to go.

Please take the time to read the two posts pinned at the top of this Welcome page and take a look at the forum terms and rules. This covers all you need to know when getting started.

For the first week you will be restricted to ten posts per day but after that you can post as much as you like. Also, until you’ve posted fifteen times in the forums, you’ll be a “Junior Bum” with somewhat restricted access and will be allowed only two private messages per day.

Good luck in your pursuits and best wishes to you,

Marblehead and the TDB team

Hi worker,

Yeah, we all are life-time students, aren't we?  Sounds like your background will easily allow you to get involved in many different sub-forums.

You are welcome to jump right in ongoing discussions, revive an older thread, start a new thread of your own, or start a discussion in the "Newcomer Corner" sub-forms to expand on your introduction or ask general questions to help you get started.

May you enjoy your time here.

Hi themill-worker,

I have no sword to sharpen.

But can you please help me to sharpen my mind?

Hi All,

Again sorry for the slip.

Mind needs to rest for it to be sharpened when I rise with the sun.

Then my body will be better shaped too with workouts.

Good night.

Hi Marblehead

At this particular point in time - there are 5 replies and 2014 views per this thread. Realistically possible?

On 3 August 2017, I made a mistake by posting something which I had since deleted. Then there ware 1900+ views and I was taken aback.

Since then I have noticed the viewership of this thread increasing quietly and steadily to its present 2014. Now I am feeling strange.

Sub-forums =  subjectivity, sub-cultures, subconsciousness ...?

Are there spirits participating at TDB? Please bust as you would - respectfully.

Return safely.

No idea what to say about the number of views.  The only time I look at view count is when I am trying to lead a discussion of Daoism works.

Yeah, "sub" is a funny prefix, isn't it?

Yes, there are spirits all over the place here at DaoBums.  Can't be busting them unless there is a really good reason.

E...where do you find view count?

I don't think it is visible on a mobile device.

Just checked and it doesn't show in a thread itself or in the New Content search/view/filter list but it does show at the forum or sub-forum level.  For this thread, for instance, click the little "Welcome" button in the top-left corner to return to the list of threads in this sub-forum and you'll find the view count.

Oh COOL, Brian. I like tracking the thread views, have missed being able to see that.

Thank you!

Hi Marblehead,

Peaceful co-existence:

(i) Live and let live

live and let live tattoo

(ii) 自己活也讓別人活;互相寬容

It is said to mean that people should accept the way other people live and behaveespecially if they do things in a different way

(Cambridge Dictionary)

(iii) I sometimes don’t act my age. And I sometimes don’t care that I don’t act my age. Like I got my first tattoo about two years ago. Haha, some people might say at my age, people would be trying to laser off the tattoos they’ve gotten in their younger days *shrugs*. It’s my body, my money, so I didn’t entertain the thought of whether getting a tattoo is an age-appropriate thing to do at my age.

Didn't see the timestamp.

Forgot to bring the lamp.

Now at friendly boot-camp.

It's been raining and damp,

Hi Cedar Tree,

Will - "Let it not be" - be Zen too?

I am asking this question in terms of flipsides.
