Speaking of demonology, has anyone encountered an actual demon or something they suspected might be

When I was 12 years old, I delivered newspapers.

 

The sunday paper was delivered early in the morning. It was normal for me to go door to door in the darkness before dawn and to watch a nice sunrise as the sun came up.

 

The TV in the living room was on. There was an old horror movie about a genie.

 

While I was walking down a path to deliver a paper. Suddenly a voice behind me, that seemed near the back of my neck said something in a whispering or hissing voice. (I could make out the words but dont want to repeat what it said).

 

I looked behind me. There was nothing there. There was nothing within 10 to 20 feet of me other than the pavement walkway I was walking on. Bordered on both sides by grass. I ran to deliver the paper where it was supposed to go. Rode home.

 

Got a pocket knife for protection. Finished my route. Being somewhat rattled the entire time. 

 

To this day I wonder what it was. Ventriloquist is my favorite explanation.

My opinion is that there are humans, or other species that call this world home, but they are removed from our sight, like they exist in a different way physically.  They take possession of people for various reasons, probably to use us as experiments, possibly to harvest our souls for other reasons, perhaps to take them into their world?

In that   film producers use something   slightly out of  what they consider the 'norm '  as somehow   related to the  weird and spooky . 

 

I mean , for such a film I  might expect some type of  'scary' or blood dripping'  font   ... but  'Hebrew styling ' .....  ?

nah .... that cant be the reason  they used that font .   Surely not . The film was made in 1985 , did that type of association exist   up to then in the British Film Industry   ?      

 

If it was  .....  then I guess it was 'noteworthy '   - I checked the film description , it was a British Film   ( The film was produced by the Children's Film Unit, which made films aimed at young audiences.^{[1] .....  WHAT ????    )  so its possible    (  much less chance of that happening in a USA film !  Many people, at the top of that industry are Jewish , I know, I worked in it )  .... I guess it just seems strange to me as I am  visually familiar with Hebrew and 'Hebrew styling ' on letters  reminds me of entirely different things    ....  other than   'spooky movies'  ...  and definitely NOT the 'devil'   ..... I mean,  Judaism doesn't even really have a 'devil '  anyway .} 

 

 

In my experience   ( with the literature  and having some Jewish friends )  demonology is  hardly present  in Judaism  compared to other religions .
