Beautiful Moments

I do this a bit to my friends ;

"  Stop ... wait , you feel that ?   Nothing is going wrong !  The birds are singing , I can hear the waterfall across the valley . We are not starving or badly sick or injured . There is no war , we are not fleeing . There are no volcanoes,  tornadoes, bushfires coming, no floods . No one is yelling at us . I have a  home with a dry bed and food stored there .  Stop ... wait a moment .... this moment is worth appreciation .

I was a teenager eating breakfast with my family at a small town greasy spoon.  A very old couple sat at a nearby table; the woman leaned over to her aged sweetie and asked, are you still there? The man was truly ancient, or so it felt to my adolescent eyes, and it seemed entirely possible that he could have silently passed away while waiting for his bacon.  Are you still there? Forty something years later the memory of that poignant moment is still with me.

:lol: They might have had a fight. :P
A friend of mine (86) says first thing every morning, “yeah, I’m still here’. :D
