Stranger things

Recommended Posts

My 'friend' has returned to spend time here  ... flew down from New Guniea ... all that way ....

to sit outside my window day and night ( sometimes at 4 am ! ) to constantly call  out in a rising panicked crescendo  for .... I dont know what ... and then fly all the way back home again .

A delightful young lady .

I went down to the river beach yesterday . Nice and quiet and very beautiful ... especially after the festival throngs have gone .... had it all to myself ;   we finally got good rain, river is up and clear and fresh , new large pebble banks / beaches from the last flood  and a bright green shady rain forest surrounds .   But someone was there .   Oh !  its   'young Janis Joplin '   (as one of the elder indigenous referred to her at the festival  -  she borrowed a guitar down by the river  during the festival and belted out a song  ... to the stunned crowd ; a very strong and good voice for such a slight young woman ) .

She is my friend's young niece  that has moved here ' as a base' for a while .  She had  an art pad and was sketching a  human butterfly or an angel    as she was  sitting by the river bank under the shade of  cedar tree    :)   ... ahhh to be young again .

We left at the same time , her ;  ''Oh !  I forgot ! ''

''What did you forget ? ''

'' I came down here to smoke a joint and I forgot to ''

:D

Me ; '' Well, there you go then . ''

'' What ? That I dont   even need a joint to be forgetful ?''

'' No . That  the place was so good and you are in such a good space that you didnt need it anyway . ''

We went and had an indepth chat as she is very interested in magic, ritual, study,  yoga , astrology,  astronomy , religion  , cultivation, etc .  (its in the family tree .. Grandma was a CoMason and Auntie , my friend, is very into that stuff and has  being doing some sessions with her)  .    She drilled me with questions  and at the end ;  '' How can I find out about this stuff , how do you learn this stuff ? I want to do it .' How do I get where you are ?  ''

Me; '''  Its easy .  Just read , study,  practice,  incorporate, balance, and work with others  and  anything associated with it  ..... then keep doing that for 50 years  .''

:D

God luv 'er .... she wanted to dedicate herself to it on the spot .  But, of course , she is running off with  a nice young fellow to the next festival in the state south of here ... so after that , but wait !  after that, there is one in the state north of here ... and after that  there is this big party coming up    .....  :)

Ahhhh .... the 'folly' of youth .   She is just like her Auntie ... and I was  , at that age .

I like learning new words on occasion, not ordinary words but stranger words.  I wrote about anemoia on the previous page, and today I accidentally came across the lyrics of Bad Boys (it used to be the opening song of a TV show popular in the '90s) and learned idren.  It's a Rastafarian term made out of "I" and "brethren" (or "sistren" -- it's gender neutral) that means "me and my spiritual brothers and sisters," "me and all my people."  Interestingly, it sounds like one of those Chinese words where "ren" -- meaning "person" -- at the end forms a term of belonging to a group (e.g. Meiguoren -- American, Zhongguoren -- Chinese, and so on.. )

The daobumren are strange.

Cats are also telepathic

I may have seen evidence cats can tell what I'm thinking.

They communicate through body language, etc.

And are very good at reading posture and gestures, etc.

and dogs ... and   pre vocal babies .  I find some babies VERY telepathic   - almost as if their internal spirit is still very close to 'the surface '  ... as they get older it gets buried in layers of   .....    'stuff'  .

My new nephew showing off his telepathic powers... : r/funny

'' What ?  ... You didnt hear that ? Okay , I'll try harder  .......         bring  ..... food ...... now  .......

looks like they had some special release agents/soaps besides the water sprays and several other tools to help loosen all those gobs of barnacle type  plants from the whales and other animals skin...

(yes, apparently the monk seal is almost extinct, except for this one !?)

:D  R  i i i i i i g h t !

Apparently even otters get barnacles   (  @ 8:10  )

'' Giant otter compromised ! '''    :D      (  love her uniform   )

or at 8:48  where the scuba divers are blowing bubbles     in the air   before they dive in .

Youse guys crack me up    :D

next giant sea otter gets a scrubby vac thing  ( one of the many gadgets on board   )    and then , for some reason , a hosing that comes out of the middle of  fan on a stand .  Then some more handroller vacs  ... then switch to a good hand scrub with soft sponges inside a medical facility with  people wearing  hospital 'scrubbs' ... then back outside on board for some rotary scrubbing  ( hospital gowns and gloves not needed for this bit ...   dont miss 14 :08 where now the  otter scrubbering gadgets have turned into backhoes with special attachments .

next up ... the roaming   animal scrubbing boat comes across an 'extinct seal'   ... no not a fossil .. a real   'extinct' animal  :)

guy pointing at it  '' the animal is extinct now '' ... not to worry its reported in to animal scrubbing HQ   @  16:16    and the rescue team runs down the corridor again  ... pauses , turns and a magc doorway was behind them all the time , they run through it

dont miss  17:40  for the magical scuba dance and the way they enter the water ,   also the voice over seems stuck and keeps saying the same thing over and over again ... even different people keep saying it .

the lift at  18:19 is spectacular  (  ly hilarious )  ... now its more scrubbing with machines,  corrosive chemicals , and stiff brushing while the animal calmly   basks  on the deck .

Did whoever made this ( and whatever for ) did they really think it ANYONE would take it seriously  ??

and why  are the number of these postings  and 'sharings' ....     increasing  ?

and why cant  some people detect such bad AI at first glance .... even from the title still frame    it was obvious .

My guess is, if people see enough of this , and they are so dim and unaware that they cant tell the difference , then they will be flooded with them until that  replaces  'real footage ' for them  .... by the way 'real footage ' does not exist anymore , that s the conclusion we will have to come to .

now .. stay tune for an interruption to daobums while we cut to a live broadcast  from the President   about the current immanent disaster , and what you will all  need to do ......

not to worry,  being that if or when the atomic bombs fall most of us and the natural world will be vaporized, thus our almighty intellects,  profound achievement's or "non-duality" sayings will not be enough to hold back the karma we have made.  Btw., and in that case the gods and masters won't be able to protect all of us or other life forms, including many of our families, friends, associates and young kids in the world from horrific suffering,  granted some folks will be lifted up for long-time sojourns in nice astral worlds per their karma...  in the meantime after (?) who knows how many years the Earth will finally be purified and recovered and then spiritualized souls will finally be able to come back here.  A side note: the old time dictators like Stalin, Hitler, Mao, and a hundred others are "small fry" compared to the demon of the 7th hell now at the gates.  "Fear not" still holds true but is a very long ways down the tunnel...Take care during this dark night until the morning sun shines.

"right" there was a lot of bumbling Ai or other fake editing in that video but it was also in the spirit of  pointing at some the suffering of various sea creatures which mankind sometimes helps mitigate, which I say is not to be dismissed out of hand.  (and not all of it was Ai created, thus was mixed in with some obviously real photos)

Btw, we were warned many decades ago about the plight of oceans and seas:

"Although man’s record as a steward of the natural resources of the earth has been a discouraging one, there has long been a certain comfort in the belief that the sea, at least, was inviolate, beyond man’s ability to change and to despoil. But this belief, unfortunately, has proved to be naïve".   Rachel CarsonThe Sea Around Us,(1951)

I was wondering if old3bob  was being serious ?  maybe that silly title image was  the  only  AI blunder  and the rest was real footage  ? ( that happens a lot ...  sometimes the first title image isnt even in the following  footage) . Plus I have a morbid curiosity  :)

Once I started watching .... it was so ridiculous .... I had to watch more  :)    Not only that , whoever puts these out* has a whole series of them   and not only that  people take them seriously and have complained about the treatment the 'animals' got  so now their 'educational films ' come with a notice that 'no animals were harmed '  :D

* Who the hell is  'sea grace'  ?

Now ... let's help this poor giant crab   ... ( who can also change size from the ridiculously large  to normal size ( something about the '

' rescue team  '  reminds me of 'Thunderbirds'      ;

- I'm gonna get me a job on one of those 'rescue boats '  :)

Indeed ... but no sea creatures are affected by that particular plight ... especially giant extinct sea otters .   Barnacles on whales are natural, not caused by us at all .

Why not point out a REAL plight they suffer from .   Why not bring real problems to our attention instead of repeating this crap ?

real problems include creatures hurting other creatures past what could called be natural balances, like that algae bloom regardless of its causes.

Right ... and now its become a trend  ;  human creatures hurting marine creatures because  they  feel 'satisfied' after removing the barnacles  !

Check out the internet , now there are warnings out there NOT to do this .

No, you should not remove barnacles from sea creatures yourself unless you are a trained professional. Improper removal can cause pain, stress, and serious harm to the animal, including skin and shell damage that can lead to infection. If a creature has a heavy infestation, it likely indicates an underlying health issue, and the best action is to contact a local marine wildlife rescue or veterinary professional for safe and appropriate treatment

A couple of days ago it was 39 deg C .  Today has a predicted maximum of 33  but with a sheep / grazier alert  .        Grazier alerts are usually cold weather , so I checked ;   tomorrow's maximum temp is predicted to be 17  deg C  .

And just as well  we have  AI auto weather computer phone  prediction and warnings  (or whatever they are ) a 'fire weather ' alert has been sent out ;    Severity level .... significant  threats to life and property.  Urgency ..... 'the urgency of this alert is unknown .   Affected area ....   ' North coast '  .

Great !   A significant threat to life  but we dont know how urgent that is   but somewhere up north near the coast .

( like those roadside signs that showed  bushfire danger  and warnings in an area .   Some one ( usually   from the bush fire brigade )  would unlock the sign and move the arrow around to the relevant warning level then lock it again .   if it was up high , you knew you were in trouble .  Now they have replaced  them with high tech  ' computery '   stuff .    Half the time the signs are out or say ' Check on line at .......  '   or they work but the lowest level is high  and the sign shows extreme on   days when nothing happens - so people have got complacent about them  ;   '' Extreme danger  ! ''    .... nah , it always says that   .

Anyway ... danger !  Either from your lambs freezing  ... or BBQing  and a week of solid rain ... with possible bushfires .

Lamb is OK, just don't eat pork on a hot day.  That's how the Buddha entered nirvana.  Or, in layman's terms, died.  Ate too much of an irresistible pork dish, Sukaramaddava, on a hot day.  That's the Mahayana tradition, by the way, whereas in Theravada they try to shy away from the fact by asserting it was a dish of special "trampled by pigs" mushrooms.  But the hot weather was the likely contributor in either case, since the Buddha, before entering nirvana, told his host, the blacksmith who served him that dish, to bury what's left of it, just in case.  Which hints at the possibility it was spoiled and he didn't want anyone else to get food poisoning.  Though it's more likely he was trying to play down his overeating habit...  which, coupled with hot weather, may be more perilous than it is in cold climates where one needs to burn extra calories to stay warm.

I have a silly question. The Buddha depicted often like the first picture looks nothing like the fat smiling Buddha often seen as well. Why are there two different variations and what

That’s not the Buddha in the picture, that’s Budai.

Imo it’s full speed ahead to disaster, this “high tech”.  Then again could be an age thing, grumpy old woman and all that.  image.jpeg.9d0be1497c2ac4142f8b6b4b623e672d.jpeg
