A former University music professor "prepared" the piano for me - you stick in various found objects into the strings so the piano rattles and more percussive. Maybe he misunderstood John Cage but John Beaulieu realized he was listening to his nerves through internal ultrasound - he was in an anechoic chamber. So I corresponded with Dr. Beaulieu recently - to share with him the updates of my research. He had inspired my master's thesis when I discovered his book at Portland Oregon's big used bookstore back in 1996.
