LO AND BEHOLD MORE WEBOMICS

http://alessonislearned.com/

A very short-ish comic by Dale Beran (who is a nerd of paradise http://www.thenerdsofparadise.com/ )

and David Hellman (who has a portfolio http://www.davidhellman.net/ )

oh and Braid, whatever

The writing style is exactly-ish like Dresden Codak by Aaron Diaz but crazier

m_about.png

Aaron is a big fun of this comic and I bet that's what influenced him during these long sleepless nights

The webdesign is not very friendly so here's a link to the first comic

http://alessonislearned.com/index.php?comic=1

No one likes sanity anyway, so go read it!

Time for a special late night edition

http://snafu-comics.com/

This one is a little bit more complicated

If you have been reading a webcomic masterpiece Wasted Talent, you might notice this American dood named Snafu Dave

wt_disabilities.png

He might have an actual name but no one cares by this point

He used to draw a sucky but kinda long running comic named SNAFU

*insert link*

And another one about a ninja

*insert another link*

BUT WAIT, his site is not called snafu comic, IT'S SNAFU COMICS!!!

He is so frigin nice enough to have other artists have their comics hosted on his website

Now I want to put all what I think about these artists into one post

Everyone who is not mentioned, SUCKS

The rest go from the least liked by me to the better ones

Also you might want to be careful on some pages, for example a Bunny With has a billion blogs on its page that can make your browser crash

The artist is awesome though, if you want to check it out click on the archives instantly

First comic is Training Wheals by Giovanny Hernandez

http://tw.snafu-comics.com/

Here's a link

He does not update, there's nothing to read, art is great and takes too much time to make and so there's nothing there now

I guess there's no point in telling that it's about a kid who moves to different schools in which different stuff happens with... 23 strips

The next great artist is called Endling

Endling is very awesome on deviantart and most of his interesting stuff is there

And I bet he even has a human name, that rascal

His comic is called Ever After

http://ea.snafu-comics.com/?comic_id=0

The setting is a world where fairytale characters are insane

They are all gathered up in an asylum run by some crazy doctor and humpty dumpty, or something

Not much have been explained about the setting but there has been a lot of action so far

The main character, as far as I can tell, is Little Red Riding Hood with a saw

Her mind is being tormented by the big bad wolf, that's why she's there

Endling's Red became sort of an icon around these parts and is very awesompular

This comic is also on hiatus and I'm starting to see a pattern here

But it's still a nice read

061124_ea.jpg

And now the last one on my list, yeah that soon

This author is A BEAST

He runs THREEE333 COMICS ARE THE SAME TIME

I'm not sure what's up with him but Bleedman has not stopped making these comics since his first one called Powerpuff Girls Doujin which started in 2002

http://ppg.snafu-comics.com/?comic_id=0

PPG is a blend of characters from now old cartoons but he puts in some new ones now and then

The setting is a town of Megaville to which the classic version of Powerpuff Girls moved into

They go to school where they announce themselves as super heroes and meet another super hero named DEXTER THE BOY GENIUS

You can't understand the awesomeness of this thing unless you saw these cartoons

041221_ppg.jpg

Next comic takes place in the same universe in the future, but I hope it's a parallel reality or something

http://grim.snafu-comics.com/index.php?comic_id=0

The comic is called Grim Tales from Down Bellow, which also has many cartoon characters and Bleedman allows things to get a lot... a lot... darker...

You meet such lovable characters as: Grim Reaper, Mandy and sometimes Billy, everyone from the Halloween Town, the frigin spawn

050912_grim.jpg

PPG takes a lot more time to tell its story but Grim is a little more interesting

Third one is called Sugar Bits and it's all original and stuff but not as dark, yet

http://sugar.snafu-comics.com/?comic_id=0

070318_sugar.jpg

This one takes you places, check it out

Funny thing is, he put a lot of effort into making these things and you kinda notice how he gets better with every page he draws, then his style starts to suck, then improve again, the get sucky, then better-y, then stuff happens

So anyway, if you remember cartoon network having more things then Scooby-Doo, check these things out

GO BLUE SQUIRE!!!!!!!!!!

http://www.allancomic.com/

So yeah, this one is by Allan Wood

The Comic is called Allan

Because that's who it's about

It's an auto bio comic about this Allan person, I've read it a few times

He started his adventure in High Schooooooooooooooool

At first he didn't know what to comic about but then stuff started to happen

This comic is funny to me on a different level

In this comic is seems like owning a webcomic is some sort of important plot point

It even created some drama because he didn't tell anyone that he's making a comic about his life

(and his friend's lives)

A lot of stuff was going on when he was in his first high school days

Then he moved and stuff got a little more boring

BUT THERE IS STILL SOME ACTION CUZ HE'S IN COLLEGE... that's fun

Instead of a webcomic this time I would like to bring attention to a piece of fan fiction that I liked very much

In a comic form

It has around 200 pages and it is very good!

I didn't expect to like it before I started reading it but it really is great

IT IS CALLED: "OF MICE AND MAYHEM"

I can't connect to the actual site so here's a mirror

http://rrdatabase.dyndns.org/written/chris_fischer/mayhem.php?page=001

If you are familiar with a show called Chin 'n Dale Rescue Rangers then you might like it very much, too

Here's the Russian opening for the show because it's better in Russian (not an opinion, fact)

It has been brought to my attention that the following thing is considered a comic but it totally isn't

http://www.mspaintadventures.com/

MS Paint Adventures is a site where this guy named Andrew Hussie does things. When you read a story you need to pretend that you are playing a game, but you're not and you never will play that game. Each page is a picture and some text that describes what is happening. Instead of a "next" button there's a button that has a command written on it, it's like you're telling the character what to do but you actually not telling them anything and just press next. Sorry for ruining that illusion.

Each story is like that and the only complete story, for now, is Problem Sleuth. It follows the adventures of some detective guy and later you can unlock some characters to play as, you don't actually unlock the characters though because it's a comic, I think. The story takes a lot of time to read, it's 1700 pages long. It's not really meant to be read in one go, it has a lot of jokes inserted in it and story is not that important, but it's actually is. You should read it bit by bit but at some point you might forget what was happening before in the story if you do that. The whole thing is just lots of fun and it would be worth it to start reading it a bit. Don't worry, the site has a save function so you can save your game and come back to the comic and read it later, it's that easy because it's actually a game.

ANOTHER STORY that is very popular is called HOMESTUCK.

It's very popular and VERY LONG!!! It's... around 7000 pages right now and is planned to be ended somewhere in 2013.

It's also very fun and is an improvement from the previous story. During Problem Sleuth the author got a lot of ideas that he wanted to use to create Homestuck, and there's a lot going on.

The story follows four kids who decided to play a video game. They discover that the games has an ability to manipulate reality around them, a little. Later they all get transported to another planet and then a lot of things start to happen. It's hard to explain the story because it gets a lot of elements added to it and a lot more characters who actually talk, unlike in Problem Sleuth. They mostly talk with each other over the internet in a chat thing so to see them talk you need to read their chat log in the text space. A lot of pages are animated gifs and when you see in a command thing, it means that the next page will have sound and it's usually a movie in flash. These flashes are very well made and are a big part of the story. Sometimes these flashes are games but they are usually short and silly ones. Most of the time you would just walk around the area as one of the characters and talk to other characters, if there's something more specific to do, there's a link to a walkthrough under the flash. These flashes are probably the best parts of the whole thing and have great music, there are also albums sold btw.

Homestuck is a lot better then Problem Sleuth but the second one has more Noir in it. Go check it out.

ANOTHER COMIC TIME, BECAUSE

http://www.collectedcurios.com/sequentialart.php?s=1

SA_0664_small.jpg

It's called Sequential Art, GET IT? IT'S A COMIC THAT'S CALLED COMIC. IT'S FUNNY!

It's by Phillip M Jackson, he draws porn. But it's not good porn, I like the comic better. The story is about a human, a cat, and a penguin. They live in a house and make jokes. Later a squirrel joins them and does cute stuff, there's also a platypus who does that.

COMICS

http://nopinkponies.keenspot.com/

This one is called No Pink Ponies, it has no pink ponies in it.

Here's the copy of the 'about the author' thing.

Eisu, real name Saiful Remy Mokhtar, but the Saiful is silent (ha ha, just kidding), so people either call him Eisu or Remy. He is 100% Ma-Male (Ha ha, Spongebob joke). The name Eisu is a phonetical sounding of the Japanese pronunciation of Ace. He was born in the year 1979 and was bred in the country near the equator. A country called... Malaysia. He is currently doing freelancing comic works, whether it be comics itself or colouring other people's comics. Right now, he's still trying his darndest to break into the mainstream comic scene.

I've read it a long time ago and forgot about it, I was kinda short but I found out that the author decided to continue the story. It's all cutesy and with all the relationship stuff, I like it. There's also a lot of geekyness going on. It's about this girl who open a comic book shop because she likes a guy. It's very good, GO READ IT

Another one of these smart ones

http://eqcomics.com/

2009-10-02-woods-bigfoot.jpg

"Edmund Finney's quest to find the meaning of life" is about Edmund Finney who wants to find the meaning of life. It's by Dan Long, he was being published in MAD magazine and I hear he still is. I don't know, I don't read it.

The comic itself has some of that very fancy funny humor where the main character is smart, in theory, and random people he meets are crazy.

Fun Fact: I keep forgetting about this one

It also might become a favorite of a few people here, but I don't care

I've mentioned it before so here's a proper introduction

http://www.machall.com/

20060922.jpg

It has been one of the oldest and legendary webcomics out there. It's so old an legendary that the only info you can find on it is on Wikipedia.

Mac Hall (debut: November 7, 2000) is a webcomic which was created through a bet between the creator Ian McConville and a friend who claimed he "couldn't make a comic like Penny Arcade". After the fifteenth comic, McConville was joined by Matt Boyd who began to write the comic.

Mac Hall follows the exploits of a group of college students who are typical slackers. The series primarily focused on the events that occurred between classes and after hours and only rarely references actual class work. The comic takes its name from MacDonald Hall, a dormitory at Bowling Green State University. Later in the series, the cast moves into a house, where they reside until graduation, and the comic's conclusion.

The site itself is kinda broken and can't do most things it should be able to do so if you want to read it, you need a separate link to the first comic which I'm going to deploy in 3... 2... 1...

http://www.machall.com/view.php?date=2000-11-07

But even though the saga of Mac Hallians is over, there is still yet another webcomic out there that is like a sequel

(what's up with webcomics and sequels, that's supposed to be reserved for movies dammit)

AND IT IS CALLED THREE PANEL SOUL

http://threepanelsoul.com/

Each comic has three panel max and it's a lot more artsy

Don't think this one has been mentioned on this thread. I'm halfway through it and greatly enjoying it. If you ever got into 2000AD you'll probably like it.

FREAKANGELS is a free, weekly, ongoing comic written by Warren Ellis and illustrated by Paul Duffield.

Stop paying attention INDEED

This is one of these comics about which I was thinking about when making this thread

Comics I forget about and then come back and they have a lot of stuff going on

This thing is by Lucy Knisley, the comics are about what was she thinking while drawing them and things that happened in the past or distant present

There's so much text to read, it's nice

Can't wait to forget about it again:

Glad you liked it :)

I've really enjoyed it so far as well (I've got about 40 episodes left to read now). I'm not actually familiar with any of his other work but I will definitely look out for it in the future.
