Normally when possums are asleep   ( on the shelf above my bed )   they  tuck their legs under , head in and appear like a furry ball .

I was talking to some about national anthems , which lead me to say how we have one but many dont like all that allegiance to the Queen stuff so we wrote our own .

 

Which is a great example of   the 'classic Australian ' .  It goes like this 

 

Aussie , Aussie , Aussie , 

 

Oi, OI , Oi !  

 

 

Brilliant eh ?   Especially when we have good song writers down her  :

Hot again, went for a midday swim - this time  10 mins drive away as its a great spot  ( river  has changes after each flood ) .

 

A beautiful 'side island' made of river gravel that is very fine and goes down into and under the water . It got overgrown and someone has  weeded it and made a type of ceremonial path leading to the water;  picked out the larger white quartz rock and lined the path with them , two large quartz sentinels  are either side of the  track as you come down to the beach , and , oh look, someone has made a really cool  circle of quartz boulders precariously balanced on each other . As I get closer I see there is a central flat rock and someone has painted it bright blue ..

 

Closer still and I realize it has a message painted on it .... I wonder what it says , what piece of cosmic advice awaits me  ? 

 

I get closer and go around to the little entrance   to read it  .... 

 

'' Don't be a c**t .'

 

   yeah, well , that' s it I suppose ; the 10 commandments  in a nutshell  .
