A short essay on the subtle architecture of our inner life

In the Castaneda writings Don Juan refers to the mind as "a foreign installation". That statement needs some context It is useful to distinguish the elemental substances of the mental space from the intelligences that coordinate those substances into usable organs. Still other intelligences may provide external purpose to the usable organs. Don Juan's statement refers to an external intelligence that commandeers the personal frequencies of the mental structure. It takes a lot of work for the human spirit to establish functional ownership of the personal and transpersonal mental structures - but that is the most obvious precondition for first stage enlightenment.- 1 reply

For five years I would spend a week at each solstice on Iona - near Dun I Once I saw the setting sun with flat sides. It was a duodecahedron - the simplest regular solid formed by 12 intersecting planes/energies

I was relying too much on memory. The Tree runs more or less North to South

Having a spiritual sponsor is quite useful - for example in providing suitable words or thoughts to give some direction to the activities of the junior initiate. Those that I relate to, often have a sponsor standing in the solar system. For some reason the sponsors often seem amphibian. (It may be relevant that the Annedotus are amphibian) Also the applicant for first stage enlightenment requires some sponsorship before admission to the planetary community of enlightened beings. The planetary community might be better considered as an organ within the light body of the planetary Logos. Thus the applicant needs to be able to function coherently within that organ

Traditionally St Columba left Ireland and Iona was where he landed - hence the naming of the hill with its back to Ireland. The important spiritual and human sites of Iona fit nicely on to the geometric Tree of Life. The most populated areas are on the lower part of the Tree

It is possible to observe, analyze, hypothesize and test without any judgement Judgement biases actual events. Material science prefers double blind to prevent experimenters' belief distorting results The spiritual scientist observes without prejudice. This allows unbiased hypotheses and clean experiments to test those. Perhaps the human situation is not madness so much as early learning processes in coping with adverse interference. Who can test that hypothesis?

Logos is Greek for "word". You may recall "In the beginning was the Word" Do your own experiments. It is useful to find a competent observer for feedback -

For most humans the emotions are more refined and aligned than the mental processes. Accordingly feeling uneasy about some action/relationship/direction is usually a sign that things need to be reassessed. That is complicated when the human has interfering entities and significant karma. Fortunately the higher subplanes of the heart are cosmic so that working with the light of the heart is usually reliable Most humans do not have enough control of their thoughts to rely upon mental analysis -

The human has functions beyond its species - as demonstrated by the geometric Tree of Life fitting on the human and on various continents. Since our god is a god of right relationship the human is expected to carry out that function as a direct impulse from that Logos. If a human loves itself from the heart then it is doing well. Humans that do not love themselves are facing away from the Logos -

The each human format contains perhaps a trillion intelligences that more or less cooperate to produce an entity that functions in the local cosmos. A universe contains a vastly greater number of intelligences that need to be coordinated, refined, aligned and integrated so that Logos has a coherent body that it can use in relating to other universes and their Logoi The human is a microcosm so that a coherent/enlightened human naturally propagates that coherence into the local aspects of the universe If the human is incoherent the universe will instinctively protect itself from that contagion -

In this universe our god (the Logos) is a god learning right relationship - but referred to by humans as a god of love. It is better to support the work of the universal Logos That may avoid having a bubble formed around us -
Many years ago I visited a retired military guy in Edinburg who had a PhD in something. At some stage in the rather direct esoteric conversation I must have put my foot in it, because he said: Don't you think that I am enlightened? To which I replied: We have been speaking for a couple of hours and you have shown no mental reaction - so you might be enlightened. He was satisfied with my answer Once a human controls its thoughts it is able to respond mentally rather than react. Control of thoughts is a precondition for first stage enlightenment

Push their light body up through the mental subplanes. If it slides through the top of the mental plane without feeling any resistance, the person has met the most obvious requirement for first stage enlightenment. There are other requirements too, but those generally are less difficult to achieve
