As far as I remember everyone that I asked to look for that Light could see it. Inner sight requires accumulation of the relevant energy-substance and formulating that into a sense organ. Visualization practices are important in developing that skill.

As you know men are strongly physical and mental while females are strongly emotional and potentially heart-centered. Generally men need to get their thoughts under partial control before they have much access to heart processes. Technically: there is a vertical stream of Light that produces consciousness in the brain and generates life force and spiritual purpose in the heart. The anchoring of that stream in the heart is shown in Roman Catholic depictions as a flame. It occurs in all standard format humans. There can be many interferences with that vertical flow of Light.

When we say a person is "good hearted" or "open hearted" or "hard hearted" we are not referring to the physical heart. We are referring to a spiritual relationship

According to Carl Jung, 42 is the earliest opportunity for the human to have brought all its inner functions under control. Hence at age 42 the human may be ready for its mission in life. 7 years to control the physicality - age of reason 14 years to control emotional 21 years to control mental 28 years to control the heart 35 years to control the spiritual will - atma 42 years to control the human spirit - oneness Blast off! I recall long ago a battle for the leadership of the Liberal Party in Australia. Both men were aged 42. The winner became the Prime Minister.

For me, books provide hypotheses that I then test by repeated experiment, preferably with a competent friend observing in real time. I posted some experiments that might be useful to you. You might like to try them. Generally I am suspicious of the concept of "gods". Such a concept promotes the ideas of worship and workshop - thereby avoiding/denying the spiritual authority anchored in the standard human format. Who/what would benefit from such avoidance/denial?

How do you protect yourself from adverse entities that are too strong? Do adverse emotions and thoughts make the person vulnerable?

Only just noticed this post. I often see people with low kidney energy. A close neighbor said he felt faint - and he seemed to me to have about 5% kidney energy level. I taught him when breathing in, to draw life force into the kidneys and leave it there on the out-breath. When I saw him the next day his kidney energies were up to 40% and he was functioning well. Some of those with low kidney energy have told me their blood tests are fine. So I suspect that the blood is not using physical substances to carry the life force.

The lower sub-plane substances properly are managed by a dedicated intelligence that can be called: the personal will. The PW protects its primary asset: its self esteem. It hates to be wrong, and will defend that asset by turning away from events, energies, relationships and intelligences that dispute its "wisdom". The PW is valuable as it forces the personality to get its act together - to protect the self-esteem of the PW. That requires the personality to control physical and emotional desires and lower frequency mental processes. Eventually the human has the personality sufficiently controlled that the human can interact with transpersonal/spiritual energies. At that point the PW fights for its continued existence. Eventually, after many incarnations the human spirit is strong enough to overcome the PW and the PW miraculously discovers that it actually has a higher function: creatively expressing the spiritual nature of the human spirit.

That is likely to be symbolic - a more severe account than the tradition of St George taming the dragon and leading it through the market. That is a reference to the human learning to control its personality will. The intelligence of the personality will, as a precondition to first stage enlightenment, is moved by the human spirit, from defensive control of the personality to a new role of creativity.
