  1. Buddha Did Not Know

Yes, perhaps you can give an example ?? I will give you one. The last supper, at this time it appears Jesus put some of his blood and some part of his flesh into the meal so that he would become blood brothers with all the disciples so that they may be instructed after his death. At that time it is also interesting to see that Jesus fed Judas from his hand, which can be contemplated; perhaps he was keeping his enemies close to him, or perhaps he realised that this deed must be done and like at the end of John Wick your greatest enemy is also the one who travels deep into the path with you. Possibly Judas was the greatest student of Jesus and only he could be trusted with the terrible job. Mary Magdalene, there are gnostic gospels that speak of her as having an intimate instinctive grasp of the teachings of Jesus, beyond the mechanical arduous struggle to understand of the other students. Why would this be so ? It is perhaps because she entered life, ordinary life, and got stuck in, she did what was required, ugly and low that it might be, a woman of the street ... and in her instinctive meeting with ordinary life she kept her soul alive, and so then when she entered the path her soul and instinct grasped the teachings like a rose being watered. Whereas those who had lived their ordinary life in security .... they had so many walls that it was a long way back. Hence Jesus says 'sell all you own, and follow me', 'the first shall be last', and so on. This is a beautiful teaching from a beautiful woman, an real woman.
  2. Buddha Did Not Know

And Buddha wasn't the only one. Just look at Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and Jaggi Vasudev who like many are prescribing a cut down pranayama to people which they know damn well will not awaken the world. Eckhart Tolle spend several years in London following Barry Long and sleeping on park benches, but started his journey as a young boy reading Bo Yin Ra books and I believe his dad died or some big shock. Or Osho who's beloved maternal grandfather passed away when he was young, leading him to do Sadhanas where he felt could not longer live. And look at what they teach. They do not teach the path that they took, because their own path was messy and impossible to really comprehend. Or J Krishnamurti who taught for 40 years after which he said nobody understood him. I remember Astavakra says that the state of realisation is very rare even for monks. Buddhism has got many good ideas directions and tools, but ... .... like the 8 Limbs of Yoga .... they do not have any system of techniques because they don't really know what is happening. Their collection of tools does seem beneficial but uncertainty surrounds it. Certainly they do not have any step by step path. One of the biggest problems is the belief that there is no self, yet you should still work towards a goal. Why ? It's dumb logic. People are afraid to use the ordinary logic of a carpenter on the path. They all aspire to throwing common sense away and feeling some magic. Wrong. Wrong approach. Carpenter is honest, he has a job, a plan, and he acts and sees the result. This is the correct approach. Any theory is directly linked to action and realisation. If you sit in a Buddhist centre and somebody begins with the 4 Noble Truths, "There is suffering ..." STOP. Stop right there. Why do you begin like this ? Are you depressed ? Although you might continue to study Buddhism you must realise that they begin in a particular polarised direction that has no justification. Your own ordinary logic reasoning should be applied. Ask questions, often very obvious questions. Once in a Vipassana retreat I was interviewed at the front by the teacher, with 150 students sitting in the room, I said to the teacher : "why shouldn't I think whilst in meditation". He said "that is the technique so just do it". I told him that I would have to think about it. I left the retreat later that day. Of course there are times of just following doing and trusting, but don't go too far. Humans are quite desperate to help each other, but their intelligence sensitive is not that high - this leads to the kind of teaching environments like Buddhsim. There is some value in studying Buddhist (or any) theoretical acadaemia because your intelligence might grow in general. However if what you study is not related to reality it is like a carpenter studying somebody's wild ideas about carpentry, rather than studying theory and applying it immediately and seeing it in practice. acadaemia must be directly linked to reality, otherwise it is a kind of masturbation of the head leading to loss of intelligence.
  3. Buddha Did Not Know

Hey I am sincerely interested, if you would like to say more.
  4. The eyes, chi and magnetism

This man gives an excellent explanation of turning the light around from the secret of the golden flower. I would add bring the energy to the eyebrow point, feel presence there, merge with it, awaken there.
  5. The Left And Social Degeneration

I watched an interesting presentation today. I am not saying it fully expresses my views, but certainly got my attention.
  6. Strongly connected with Taoism since childhood

Interesting, and if you explore in the head do you feel the voice also coming from up there somewhere or is it just in the solar plexus. - this exercise is very interesting because of the varied responses, and very important because the voice in the head is very important but of our existence but poorly understood
  7. Strongly connected with Taoism since childhood

Hi, thanks for your response. Slightly random question, but if you create a conscious thought stream (i.e start thinking slowly ... anything really ... perhaps say ... relax ... relax ... relax ) .... can you feel where in the body this voice is occurring. For instance you can start by comparing upper and lower bodies - where is the voice coming from. And if you can do that, narrow it down further and further ?
  8. Strongly connected with Taoism since childhood

What Taiji were you practicing 6 hours a day ? And what meditation ?
  9. The 5 Preliminaries

If you practice Samatha .... diligently. What have these words got to do with your practice ? You are sitting quietly and doing the inner practice ?
  10. The Path to Freedom

Entering yourself is like entering life itself. Who then needs freedom ? Freedom is a word that those in bondage use to imagine the fixing of their bondage.
  11. Daoism is a Chinese path which is grounded and impersonal, the path of energy is like that as it is at the bottom of the chakra tower, the further up you get the more personal it gets. Consciousness for instance is closer to will and more personal. But the question whether Dao itself is personal ... what does this q mean ? Your concern should be yourself not the whole. For instance if someone asks you if your father is personal ... Hmm .... not sure what this question means ?
  12. What are you listening to?

Yeah well growing up in Central London in the 80s of course I know a lot about Canadian Maritime folk history !!! Anyway love this kind of music because it is Real it represents the real history of real people on this planet, their journeys and struggles, and their hope. Strangely I can whistle very well, always could, as I walk down the street. It's just me, and a few rare old men. In the days of the cold mines (know a lot about that as well !!!) it was different, many people whistled on their way to work. Nothing finer than coming to the end of a day of hard man's work. Then you know why you are alive.
  13. What are you listening to?

Because when you take a long a gruelling journey, then you earn your food, and you sing with a big heart.
  14. The Self, Does it Exist?

The error with this logic is that it implies you are the whole, and you can easily demonstrate you are not, for instance the whole has created gravity planets and love. What can you do ? Nothing, you are just a small monkey. Therefore you who speak are in fact something that has arisen, and if you wish to survive you need to do something otherwise you will die. The whole is not you, it lives and will live. But you will actually die. When your body dies and you close your eyes nothing is left. The whole is alive now, but you don't know it, and you are not it, stop talking about it. Spirituality is concerned with making this small self permanent through a fusion bridge with the source, then when the body dies this small voice that you are will live on as itself ... it becomes a soul. This means the small eddy in the river of life that was given a temporarily supported life, has through its own joy of life and returning to the source it has become a permanent eddy no longer temporary. Spirituality is about .... the individual soul living on beyond death, because of your joy of exploration, and so you truly reflect the source which is doing the same. Of course the whole is there always was there and always will be there. But you won't. If you still have the imagination that you are the whole, well try to do something like make a planet. Does it work? After you see that you cannot do it, recognize that you are just a monkey and the clock is ticking. One area of confusion is that if you are able to feel or reach the source (and it is your source after all) .... then it can feel very nice, you can imagine you are the source .... but once again just try to do something the source can do. And you won't be able to. Because you are just feeling the source, you are not the source. A second area of confusion comes from the damage to the intelligence of Western people, this has been caused like in Ancient Rome because material possessions are plentiful, and people don't need to use their intelligence in a responsible way. If you need to think straight to made the wheat grow or your wife and kids will die .... that is a motivator. If you are a bum with no real honest work, sitting on your plastic chair, looking at your phone .... then when you think it is just shit. Real thinking and intelligence is a muscle that needs to be trained. A third area is that because of the decline in true intelligence what arises from shit lazy thinking is a a degenerated world understanding and fragmented self-understanding which is called the ego. The ego is somebody who is ill and no longer recognizes his own self, or true intelligence. Humans who are ill tend to make others ill, which is important to understand. Someone who is deeply unhappy gets anxious if a healthy person arrives and will tend to attack them or crucify them. A fourth area is that people unfortunate enough to be born into a world of shit lazy idle people, does not feel very good, not knowing himself, the earth, meaning or anything. The sterilized world. And such people become quite desperate inside, some take anti-depressants. Some reach for spiritual ideas to justify their feeling of not existing. But the truth is they have been damaged.

  16. - Most seekers fail because they were never really seeking - they don't really fail. - It is very helpful to read the life journeys of enlightened beings, and consider what choices they made, where and why. - Developing your intelligence and stepping outside of the herd in daily life is very important. Consider what this means. One has to become interested in life. Chopping carrots, do it left handed. - Experience different teachers, recognize that most don't know much or anything. - Seek a serious teacher, serious in his own personal practice. Be a good student. If no results come leave. - When people say .... yes study for 20 years ... or don't ask questions. It simply means that is the logic they are using .... as they have not got anywhere. - Kindness, sincerity, compassion - Keep your body in good shape, see life as an opportunity to continue growing body, emotions, intellect, spirit. - There are short cuts, because most people are not going anywhere. Normally they are attracted to mystery, exotic, poetic words, or alternatively they like to be in a crowd and get a hug. Do you really seek ? Would you really like to know truth for its own sake ? - Yes enlightenment is very real, and simple, simple after a long difficult journey. - If you don't understand the instructions clearly, then clarify with the teacher. If you still don't understand leave. Don't pretend to understand or you waste your time. Often teachers cannot explain because they don't know and don't care to know. - There are many teachers, and few students. - The best teachers are students, advanced students busy with their own studies. - Buy a square mirror about 50x50cm from Ikea, and put it on the floor by a wall. Sit in front of it looking into your own eyes, for half an hour a day. - Breathing, energy, body are objects. Real teaching bridges you with the subject. - Do not worry about your "ego", worry about your true self. - Also remember "I have to do it", "I journey to myself". If you have 5 minutes sit down and say the Lord's prayer slowly, reflecting on the real non bullshit meaning o each line. - Every moment is an opportunity to be Real and live up to your possibilities, and not live like a worm. - Instead of worrying about purification, worry about what you consume each day. Body, mind, heart, spirit, all eat every day ... but what nastiness you put in there ? And then there is a complaint that my mind is misbehaving. Garbage in Garbage out. - Don't talk behind people backs. - Consider that there might be no method. Sit down now, and hope-pray-open. - Be worthy in all aspects of your life, begin this journey. - Something called Enlightenment Intensive (Zen tradition) is very worthwhile. - Every technique uses both masculine and feminine energy, masculine discipline gently holds the frame, feminine feels. - Become yourself is one half, let go of yourself is the other half. First something has to be created, and then that something is surrendered. - Only exceptional efforts count. Well, can't do it every day, but we must get used to pushing far through our limits, one step at a time. For instance Buddha sat for 35 days under the Bodhi Tree. We are capable to do such things, as long as we are not defeated by our lack of hope.
  17. God, I just saw a video of some Japanese streetfood, a big lobster was crawling around lost on the floor of the restaurant, they stuck him in a bucket of ice to paralyse him, and whilst he was still struggling just cut him two. Couldn't even be bothered to kill the poor bastard. My God what is wrong with human beings. I am not sure, but there is something seriously wrong with them. It is against the laws of nature. And I saw another one where a giant red sunfish is sliced open, and dissected, and then there is this minute detail to Japanese cooking, making very precise shapes of the dead body of this creature, playing with the flesh, a little snip here and trim there. Titillation. Humans are ... so coarse .... and so bored, that they just pick up whatever poor creature is crawling there and play a game of torture, dissection, titillation. Do they feel anything ? Sometimes humans do it with their own people, or people just like them, or their children, or women, or themselves. Christ ... No better than dumb apes > worse even. Anyway ... Gurdjieff said that the organic life on the Earth has an energy function (transforms energy) for the cosmos as part of the chain of energy production of the entire universe. And if humans become extremely poor energy transformers and do everything wrong (degeneration) then more of them have to be created by nature in order to keep producing the same amount of energy. In other words 9 BN humans mean that they have become useless slobs who can't do anything, so they have to be multiplied. How many electricians does it take to change a lightbulb ? Well that depends on the electricians, 9 Bn maybe. It was suggested that mankind has already been "adjusted" by nature, that once we were giants, and did not eat animals, only what was served to us by nature ... fruit and nuts and air and water ... served to us because it was also an investment by the plants growing them, it was a fair deal, with everyone benefitting. But then ... we got the taste of flesh in our mouth .... like a leopard who tastes human blood ... and then there is no going back. I have the strange sense that some young people in this society (UK) are not fully formed, they seem to not have real character in their faces, their bones seem weak and bent ... in Asia it often seems like there are millions and millions of people in swarms. Until recently the West had character, had emerged. Recently there was that cave rescue in Thailand, a football team trapped for 3 weeks underground. The Thai solution was to invite thousands of people to .... get busy. Cooking, chopping, lifting, and so on. Thousands of people, the whole country pulling together. And then 3 British divers got off the plane and went in and sorted it all out. 3 experts. Different cultures, different consciousness.

Blue lights ? Could it have been the police, I think they are very polite in Sweden ?!!! And also in Amsterdam :
  21. Did Sidharttha Gautama actually say the Four Noble Truths ? And the Eight .... whatever it was ? And the Five .... thingies ? Did he actually say this stuff ? I can't tell look these things up on vast Wikipedia articles its difficult to tell, these things are in the suttras but who wrote them ? Buddhism long ago became a religion for people who want to imagine they don't exist so they don't have to get off their arse and can spend their life shaving their heads, shaving their food, shaving their heart, shaving everything. Because somehow shaving everything is a wonderful expression of existence. Probably existence made a mistake creating the whole world, and now little monkeys called Buddhists have to fix up existence because existence was so dumb. Nice logic. In Christianity at least you can read the words of Jesus of Nazareth quite clearly in the gospels and if you throw everything else away you have some good quality instructions. But with Buddhism doesn't seem to have any direct quotes just mountains of words, all beginning with a number the Eight this or the Sixty Nine that. !!!

If it had been the heart chakra then as she turned the light would have also rotated and stayed always behind her.
