  1. Potent Systems

Hi tao stillness, In the above post, it seems you weren't sure at that time whether you were getting significant benefits from Pan Nam Five Petal Plum Chi Kung. Would you mind sharing your current opinion on the same? And how do you place it as compared to Master Ngiam's chi kung that you mentioned after the above post? thanks, sshubh
  2. Flying Phoenix Chi Kung

Hi All, I request people to share if they had any experience on self-healing or healing others for some illness using FPCK. What kind of illness was able to get healed and how long it took? Appreciate your feedback. Thanks.
  3. Hi All, I am considering a qigong system primarily for healing benefits. After some readings, i have narrowed to these three: 1. Spring Forest Qigong 2. Pangu Mystical Qigong 3. Flying Phoenix Qigong If anyone here can shed some light on how these methods compare in terms of healing benefits, it would be great. Thanks for your advice!

Thanks Vajr Fist and tao stillness for your feedback! Falun wheel being 'taken back' when one stops practising makes sense from another perspective also that this wheel of energy is formed as a result of practice itself rather than by Li. i don't smoke or drink alcohol or even eat egg; so i only have to be concerned about factors other than these I am anyway not with falun theory in total except cultivating virtues and was inclined only towards their qigong aspect. But i still don't understand the rationale behind the blanket statement that no other practice should be done with FG. I'd appreciate if anyone can share their experience of combining it with other practices. Was it working in some cases, not working in others? I want to continue my current meditation and some yoga exercises with FG. tao stillness, thanks for sharing your experience on Wu Wei. I'll try to find more about that also, Vajra Fist, May i know what was the reason to transition from FG? Was it for better qigong or for better spiritual cultivation method? Did you find FP qigong better than FG in terms of healing benefits and stilling the mind? thanks.

Hi tao stillness, Since you spoke highly of falun gong and since it is free, i was trying to find more about it. In one thread here, Lio TaoRen says that even though one may see short term benefits but this practice seems to invite some entity to take possession. What is your opinion on this aspect? http://www.thedaobums.com/topic/10521-falun-gonganyone-having-any-good-exeperience-with-it/page-2 quote start === Many cultists have become insane, or suffering from extreme paranoia. Do some research, or better yet, go to China and see for yourself. I went to a Falun Gong demonstration in Canada after exercising the Falun from some people. They all looked at me with fear in their eyes and minds, a couple even ran away. Finally someone asked me to leave. Real Taoist cultivators(masters) believe that spiritual entities can posess people. There is an entire science behind it... most of which is kept "secret", and you usually must be a monastic or adept in order to receive the transmissions of knowledge. Anyway, some will certainly disagree with me. The exercises may be good, but someone does have an agenda that does dot have anything to do with the welfare of the practitioners. Any movement that evolves into an organized religion is victim to corruption. This entity, though, was created by someone- human or not I can't tell you. I do not claim to know how long it has been around, my guess is not as long as is claimed. So much marketing, like "the Secret" A low-level understanding of an ultimate principal marketed to the helpless, poor and lost. Like any fundamentalist religion, making lofty promises. I will contemplate, and write an article with a how to on Transmuting the Entity. Similar phenomenon are very common, any real Qigong Doctor or Taoist priest could perform such an exorcism. If you invited it yourself, it will be simple, and you can easily transmute it with visualization. If it was directly transmitted you may wish to see an expert. From what I understand, many individuals in China are leaving this group with the help of doctors or priests. Im not sure what is readily available, but there is literature and science behind spiritual entities9- it is really only westerners that do not see this as common place. Even in China, so many are now skeptics, but in rural areas you see some amazing things. quote end ===

Thanks tao stillness for prompt reply! Completely agree with you on ' The zen oriented books just seem so abstract that they lead to confusion and actually really false information such as in the end there is nothing to search for, even the search for becoming enlightened is an illusion. That simply is a distortion of truth.' There are way too many systems (non-zen too) propagating this kind of teaching these days... Based on your feedback, i'll try to see oneness movement. But immediately, my short term goal is to fully recover physically. I am exploring http://www.indianspiritualhealing.org/ right now; if you want, you may also try; they seem to have a contact in canada too.

Thanks tao stillness for your wonderful posts here! I also need help in recovering and hence am looking for an effective healing system. You mentioned about energy healers: 'Tom Pacholkowl, Calgary, Canada' and someone by name 'matawee' or something similar. I couldn't get them on google easily. Can you please post their contact details? Also, how has been your experience with them in comparison with Eric? Lastly, an advice on oneness movement: On internet, i see more negative reviews than positive ones on them. Do you have more insights whether they are genuine? And if you had got astounding experience from TM siddhi program, did you consider doing that program again? Thanks in advance for your help!
  8. The Gift of Tao - Ya Mu's DVD

Thanks Ya Mu for replying! I have read some of your and senior students' posts and got an understanding that when we practice GOT and SM, it expands our energy body. Also this system uses higher vibrational energy. But i wanted to get an idea from you if you have ever known about anyone (doing this practice) ending up being troubled with some external entities or energy bodies. Hope you'd agree this is a genuine question to ask before starting the practice. thanks, sshubh
  9. Stillness movement in China

Thanks Leif. I tried to google but could find only this at best http://qigong-quietemovimento.weebly.com/docenti.html. From here, it seems the courses are taught by someone by name Dr. Paola Conti. (because Hu Lijuan is too old?) Is there any better website which tells more about the practices, how long it takes, what one can expect at the end of it, and maybe any more demo videos? thanks.
  10. Hi, I am starting this thread to find if there are teachers in China for qi gong system similar to stillness movement taught by Michael Lomax in US. This may be helpful for those staying in the other part of the world and can't make it to US for attending workshops. Please share your ideas. thanks.
  11. Which Qi Gong system is best?

Agreed that the question is 'which is best for me' but i believe others' experiences can help me find the answer (though an expert master sitting beside me would have been even better ). For example, if someone says they had a serious illness which was not improving by other qi gong systems but when they started a particular system, they got huge results, then i too would like to try that system after ascertaining as per my limited knowledge that there are not significant chances of harming myself in other aspect of life Conversely, if someone says they became a better martial artist using one particular qi gong system, i might not want to choose that system just for this reason alone. So though its true that nobody can give a 'this one is best' answer but i believe we can share our experiences of what we have found working best along different aspects of our lives and others can learn something from those experiences and decide whether it would make sense to adopt that system for themselves. thanks everyone...
  12. The Gift of Tao - Ya Mu's DVD

Hi Ya Mu, On this thread, Green Tiger and Brian reported noticing other energy bodies during their practice of GOT. What is your perspective of those energy bodies? Is it possible for such bodies to be intrusive to the practitioner? How is it different from ghost sighting? My intention is not to denigrate but just to find the info. thanks, sshubh
  13. Which Qi Gong system is best?

Thanks oldchi, silentthunder and others for replying! I looked online at stillness movement and sfq. I also came across this page of warning: http://www.dangerofchi.org/mystory.htm In this page, the practitioner relates his experience of negative entities taking control of him while he was seemingly doing some energy practices. Here is an excerpt: === But certainly my case was unlike most of the others the Sheikh was dealing with because I had directly invoked these creatures and inadvertently sought their assistance via (i)My instructor channelling the energy into me (ii)Capturing chi from outside my body (iii) Going into deep meditative trances allowing the chi to take control of my body like I was in an intoxicated state taking on the characteristics of animals see Wu Qin Xi five animal frolics (iv) Through various chants and (v) Performance of certain forms/kata with acts of magic embedded with in without even knowing it. What is also most disturbing is that the practise of my art involved the accumulation of these jinns inside me or as my instructor would say the cultivation of chi which could take many years to achieve, which is why they often say that to practise the external arts could take a few years but to practise the internal art a decade i.e. the more chi I had the more adept at the internal arts I became. Most instances of possession only involve a hand full of jinns, however internal arts by definition require the individual to store up or hoard their chi. That is why practising such systems can be so fatal to the practionar and act of exorcism can be considerably longer than otherwise. === To me, few things in stillness movement look similar to the points in the above text. Please share if you also have come across any such instances. And while taking up any practice, what things do i need to consider so that it doesn't end up harming me? Thanks, sshubh
  14. Namaste to All! I'd ask my question that primarily prompted me to join you experts in this forum: i've been practising yoga and breathing for quite some time but recently i started qi gong - the shibashi form as on taichi18.com. I have already felt amazingly fast benefits in terms of energy level and depth in meditation. This makes me try to find the best qi gong exercises which will give even more benefits. If you have any ideas on the qi gong exercises that you have tried or known otherwise, i'd love to hear from you! If a comparison can be provided with shibashi, that would be great. Also, if anyone has tried http://www.chifusion.com/ (from Al Simon, cost $297) or 'chipowersecrets bllueprint' from Al Perhacs called (i am not pasting actual link to avoid being sounded as advert; a simple google will get the right page), please share your feedback. Thanks a lot in advance! -sshubh
