I mean individually. What was the spark that started your journey

For me, a bizarre meditative experience when I was in my mid-twenties.

I saw that the entirety is just pure Grace.

Although... I worked for an Indigenous organization so our work 'functions' were a bit more spiritual than your typical office team-building.

One of my grandfathers trained in some form of inner alchemy.

 

He wanted to teach me and my cousins when we were all around 12 years old.

 

But literally my uncles and father said: "its not good for christians to learn that stuff of the devil".

 

Those stereotypes are real sometimes.

Well, having been raised Christian, and early on started following my own will and desires, and later returning to examine Christianity, i realize that while following impulse and desire is satisfying, it can lead a person to destructive behavior.  I guess I believe that human beings are prone to selfish behavior,  but can learn compassion and charity, which honestly,  is good for society.
