Seriously. The word ‘courage’ comes from the word ‘heart’ (Latin, cor).

Caffeine creates tachycardia, the Ego believes that we are up for the challange?

That would explain stupid things I've done when younger.😁

And the circle defines the term.

Personally I prefer a cosmos that is alive and always expanding.

And that relates to defining a term so it can be discussed without total confusion?

It refers to Reality as continuing to unfold and transform - thereby always extending its limits.

Using a definition based on yesterday's reality may indeed cause confusion

Go back 10 years and step outside this solar system and examine its meridians.

Come to the present and repeat.

Now write a definition for systemic meridians that will be accurate in 2030

ego is not a thing.  ego is not a noun, but a thinking within awareness which operates as a verb.  ego is a process that arises and diminishes, like all phenomenon and noumenon.  It is a mentation among human awareness and an ephemeral, diaphenous non thing endlessly rising and falling, like all form, all 'material' and all sensation and thought.

ego could perhaps be described in english more effectively as egoing.

When we encounter the ego in thinking, we are 'egoing' within awareness.

(of late, my local awareness cannot find a single instance of a noun (static object) anywhere in Awareness.  All perceived nouns are illusory, projectional and delusionary, like all form, phenomenon and noumenon).

Not if we are discussing that which was so defined.

Essence is not function. Something can be false (or magical if you prefer) and still function. For example, a dream hammer is useful in a dream, but not useful in the waking state (and vice versa).

thanks for the insight. your words have given me much to contemplate, and then again not to contemplate.
