"The Alchemical Garden" Website

Recommended Posts

"The Alchemical Garden" was a forum created by one of our oldest members here (Earl Grey, if I'm not mistaken).

It's focus was to discuss about the same things we talk on The Dao Bums, it was like a alternative version.

That forum also had it's own "Flying Phoenix Chi Kung" thread, I remember reading some years ago and there was also good info there, but I just can't access this forum anymore, anyone knows what happened, is it gone forever?

I haven't visited for a loooong time . I have  .... had ?  ... a selection of posts and discussions there .  It was a bit   of a 'specialists' forum and didn't seem to have much traffic or feedback .   It got slower and less active and I just stopped visiting there .

Also I am out of contact with Earl Grey   .

I cant locate it  now either .     Maybe it didn't have enough traffic to sustain it ?

Probably not :(

It's sad because it was nice to have a different forum to read for a while:D

If I remember correctly he left TDB to go that forum, but now he's not here nor there, maybe someone can contact him or he comes back someday.

As far as I know it was closed/deleted and not coming back.

You see managing and moderating a community is a responsibility and a work that takes time and effort. Apart from paying for hosting and development.
You would have to make decisions, arbitrate conflicts, interview new members, and so on, and so forth.

I think most living esoteric communities are closed circles that are

  • paid for by its members
  • tightly knot around a specific ideology or a particular teaching
  • have a authority/respected figure that sets the rules and principles

When you have divisive opinions and conflicting views, such places and groups would fall apart.

  • Thanks 1

I got banned on reddit but it’s useless for cultivation anyways. This site is the best publicly available place to learn

thanks bro, any funny reason why you was banned there and you want to share with us?

I was banned there because I made a post about women attraction LOL hahahha

I feel like the second Drew talking about these subjects, but without the "O's at a D":D

I just find it a very interesting topic to research and try to understand why this happens, it's also nice to have other people's point of view and testimonials about this kind of stuff

A joke from my Iranian boss ;

 " How do know how close to happiness  you are ?"

You get all your ties, lay them out on the ground end to end , you stand at one end , the other end is how far away happiness is .

Spoiler

Didnt get it ?

Its 'a thing'  over there ;
