11 - 1 midnight meditation

Recommended Posts

It was for me . I had a different system though ;

the 'lower' centre for the Midnight Meditation .

the 'third eye ' centre for the Dawn Meditation.

'above the crown'  for Noon

the one between lower and Solar for Sunset .

Not a Chinese system though .   Although each used a 'mudra' ;

 palms held outwards, thumbs extended ,  index finger tips joined and thumb tips joined to make a triangle in the middle space :

triangle pointing down ,  framing the  lower  centre  , palms in

triangle pointing up , framing the   third eye, palms out

triangle pointing up, above the head , palms out

triangle pointing down , framing the 'hara' , palms in .

In context this is all a 'solar ritual' / meditation .  It may not be  ( or the correlation LTD : Midnight ) may not be relevent , depending on what  meditation you are doing  ( ie. the why and what for of it ) .

Are you aiming to awaken third eye?

That isnt the aim  .

That happened some time back, actually , way before that stage .

So you activated third eye?

Not as such . It was responding more to the    ' third eye awakened ' idea  ,   than any   ' me activating it '   .

In a sense one can 'activate it' just by centering consciousness there .  But I did not  originally activate it  / turn it on / become aware of it myself  through any conscious process  .... it happened to me in an 'event' .

I guess your next question might be  about that  ...  so ;

11-1am is when the gallbladder meridian is activated.

Also 11-midnight is the peak time for Lower Jiao.

Lower Jiao involves the combined action of the Kidney & Urinary Bladder as well as the Small and Large Intestines. Also the legs.

Midnight is when Yin peaks.
