Translation about the four types of Chi(氣)

Would someone please translate. Thank you.

In fact, in China, during its long history, there are three different kinds of people who talk about qi in different senses with varied emphasis:

1) Confucian moralist : They view qi as the basis of all morals; they believe that without having ourselves equipped with qi, hardly can we not succumb to vanity and material interest.

2) TCM doctors : They are concerned with how qi works in our body , how it becomes imbalanced and how to use herbs or needles to regulate it.

3) Taoist alchemists: They know qi 's character much deeper than the TCM doctors, and are not only concerned qi that flow in the channels and organs of our body ( the post-heavenly ones) , but also the pre-heavenly qi , the Meta_one ( you can call it the metaphysical one) that they think hide deeper in us, being the source of all kinds of qi; Besides believing that qi has an ability to heal, they also agree with the Confucian moralists that qi does have its moral character.

Roughly....

"Discussions on Chi can be in follows:

1. as metaphysical reality, ether, the source.

2. as physical existence, flowing in this world, not solid, not liquid, something that can disseminate.

3. as breath, sometimes related to spirits, related to human breathing.

4. use chi to explain about body and human relations, how one behaves and treat others.

This is only a roughly explanation, in 4 areas, the original theory, the universe theory, human body theory, and character theory."

I personally feel this writing is - uses difficult language to explain simple things..... And it omits the Chi in terms of martial arts which can partly be in item 3.

In the discussion about Chi, mostly we have the following types:

1. Using 'Chi' as a solid body in metaphysics, it's also an primordial substance which beyond the history of human.

2. Using 'Chi' as a material in the external physical world, another words, there is something that is a fluid-like substance; it is not a solid body; it is not a liquid neither, but it is a kind of substance which can be broadcasted everywhere. Doesn't that sounds like gaseous substance...???

3. Using 'Chi' as in breathing, it was occasionally spiritually related; and also related to a certain breathing phenomenon of the human body.

4. Using 'Chi' in describing the human body and human affairs, it is a body image or appearance expressed by the activities and social contacts between the human relationship.

這種粗劣的分別當然是相互涉及的,這只是方便說而已。簡單來說,四種分類各自代表了「氣論」四個不同面相:「本體論」、「宇宙論」、「人體論」、「性情論」。

With these kinds of crude differences, they are definitely and mutually related with each other. That was only for the convenience of speaking. Simply speaking, these four categories are represented the 'Chi-ology', individually, in four different ways: 'Ontology', 'Cosmology', 'Physiology', and 'Psychology'.
