I read an ebook "immortal body of light" book by this guy, seemed like a load of baloney. I could be wrong though. Maybe Thoth did show him the in's and out's of the soul.

$19? Lol. Stay away from that.

However, the body of light issue. This is very real but there are many methods to attain it and they all involve:

1. Sila...(morality)

2. Prajna...(wisdom)

3. Hard work and determination...years and lifetimes of spritual practice using various or one method if you found one that means the Holy Grail to you.

4. Purify all your karma as well as all the energy points in your body (organs, meridians and chakras)...Total healing and awakening to the light that shines in your HEART which is connected to the SOURCE.

5. Love and compassion to all sentient beings. Put others first no matter how hard this could be to you.

Lots of good karma and prayer to spirit guides and others you have connected with (Buddha(s), Jesus, Muhammad, Zoroaster, Socrates, etc.)

Good luck and all the best in attaining the body of light which trascends matter, time and space.

It's called the Jalus in Dzogchen from North India in the 200's B.C. moved to Tibet 1,100 years ago. It's the main goal of Dzogchen practice in fact, which is what I practice. Yes, we use Sanskrit mantras.

You actually turn your physical constituents into an immortal body of light representing the Dharmakaya (body of infinite buddha wisdom), Sambhogakaya (body of enjoyment and bliss) and Nirmanakaya (emanation for the sake of compassion towards endless sentient beings).

If you really want to know more through the active Dzogchen lineage where beings have attained this "Body of Light" recently, you'd have to get transmission and follow the teachings.

All the best!

...as always it's the "gut feeling" that will tell you if it's for you or not... ; )

Om Hrim Hamsa So'ham Swaha

The Mantra to the Supreme Light

By David Frawley

Above is the Mantra to the Supreme Light, Param Jyoti Mantra, which is a famous Vedic, Vedantic and Tantric Mantra. We could also spell it phonetically as OM HREEM HAMSA SO HAM SWAHA! This mantra brings us into the Divine or inner light and causes it to resonate in our body, breath, speech and mind.

(...)

The Mantra to the Supreme Light is a Tantric mantra. Om is the Supreme Shiva. Hrim is the Supreme Shakti. Hamsa So'ham is the unification of Shiva and Shakti in our breath and consciousness. Swaha indicates consecration into the light. This mantra can be used along with the worship of the Goddess to bring her presence into our hearts.

You can translate Shiva/Shakti=Tao/Te as the great scholar and mystic Sir John Woodroffe explained many years ago...

I"m not sure it is possible for most people. Its probably possible to have a major awakening, but

to obtain that level, which is the hightest, it must be part of your karma. Even Sakyamuni buddha

did not obtain that level, as well as others. They had special abilities, but never got to

that level.
