  1. Flying Phoenix Chi Kung

I am doing Qigong for several years. Searching was my biggest problem. Searching for health, searching for miracles. I understand really what you are talking about. So I stopped searching. I don't talk very much about what I am training. I sit and stand every day not searching anymore. That what's my miracle about. Doing Qigong without expectation. Sitting and feeling but not searching. All day long I searched for the better (future, health) but accepting this is it that's for me the miracle that's the healing. When other people see energy it is okay for them but it no goal for me. Feeling how the body is moving, stopping when it is enough, trying on different moments on a day. Feeling how it works when you have no energy. That's for me what's in it Thank you for sharing

I think many students just copy movements. They relaxed in the movements and think: This is it. The origin of the movements from within energetically but also physically, you can't see. So they don't integrate this in their training. To learn using the body as a 3 D pump is in my opinion that what makes it a healing and martial art. The movements (internal) are often very small but essential to make it powerful to heal and to fight. The wonderful DVD from grandmaster William CC Chen Body Mechanics of Tai Chi Chuan is all about this and in gratitude and respect for the lesson's of my own Sifu. John

Hello Astral Butterfly, Go to Youtube and search for Zhan Zhuang day 1. There is a very good course (10 days). You can find all of them on Youtube. This course tells you every about standing like a tree. After that you can use the handpositions in FP Qigong. Keep you shoulders relaxed and be happy. Best John

Yes I'm a student of Sifu Christer learning Bak Fu Sunn Yee Gung, Wun Yuen, Dao Gar Jeung and Flying Phoenix Heavenly Sword. His music is beautifull and use it to during my daily practise. Thank you and much wisdom with Flying Phoenix Qigong

I did FP Qigong for two Years. I live in the Netherlands and I wanted to train live with a Sifu so I do another system but also from GM Doo Wai. That's what I do. One of the very important lessons was No stress and blokkage. When your relative can feel the flow of energy that's the most important. I say this as a student and not as a instructeur. But my opinion: Pain is no Gain.

Meditation can also be done seated in a straight chair. Lying is difficult. I think it is too hard to do the monk is gazing at Moon. The others can still be done. You have to built up the standing very slowly because when it hurts you will lose all benefits.

I think there is no instructor in the Netherlands. I did FPQ for 2 years and I am living in the Netherlands. I got some private lessons from Sifu Terry. It was a good study but I missed a real Sifu. That site and that name: I never heard of that man! Mmmmh I looked again on his site and saw a description and a picture of DVD vol. 1 so I think a DVD master with kind regards John

Nice, yes I think also there is not knowing, there are no words to discribe. This is not easy for western people but when we try to intellectual catch it, it flies away (the flying Phoenix). I think for me the right way is to feel and pounder. Intellectual knowing can block the experience. A wise man said: The moment there is a strong sensation, is the only true moment, when you try to reproduce this feeling it hurts the essence.

Hello Sifu Terry Dunn, You do these 3 rounds of the long form just before going to sleep? Have a nice day FPQ practitioners

My English is not so good but I will try to share some of my experiences. I do Flying Phoenix Qigong for a period of one year almost every day. I have not become a different person. I have no special gifts (healing, blue aura). There are subtle things have changed. I have become more sensitive to energy and energy flows in my body. I'm sick less often and most importantly, I understood that I should not train with a purpose. That is very difficult. Your question is quite logical. We grew up (in the Netherlands) with the idea that everything we do must have a purpose. As is often presented Qigong. Qigong for health or spirituality. I think it is important to forget everything and sit or stand and start every time again without expectation. If you learn that you have been given a great life lesson an changes in yout body will occur. Good luck and have fun workout
