One thing I do with heart energy is move it through out my body, from the neck to the shoulders, down each arm to my finger tips. Then I move it through the torso to every organ an finally down my legs to my toes... It is more difficult to get it into the head for me. (It has been said to have healing properties) I have never experienced a numbness in the heart chakra so I'm not sure what that is about, but just below the heart bliss at the solar plexus is the inner fire. Hi, I have been practicing internal alchemy and believe to made it to level 4, or combined the energies into a central location. What happened was I was sinking the fire into the LDT, and it began shooting out the third eye filling the body with warmth, and also there is access to this sort of energy from the UDT that fills the entire body, and feels electrical. I'm not sure what kind of chi it is but would like to find out more. Thanks.

If you don't practice in magic then how would you know if it is draining or not?
