Hello Internet

Recommended Posts

I am a college student studying Biology. In October of 2015, I had a series of psilocybin-induced epiphanies about myself and my place in the universe. I was quite depressed for some time after said epiphanies. Eventually, I began to regain confidence and explore the new perspective that the mushrooms had helped me discover. I traveled, experimented some more with the ritual use of psychoactive plants and eventually came to Taoism. Taoism helped me contextualize and understand all the thoughts I had been having. Now, I am looking to develop spiritually. I am at a point where I believe in and have a cursory understanding of Taoist philosophy, but I don't necessarily apply it to my every day life. I am building a practice.

Hello JerrySeinfeld'sLeftNut, and welcome.

Your membership is approved and we're happy you found your way to us. We look forward to accompanying you on some of the way that you still have to go.

Please take the time to read the two posts pinned at the top of this Welcome page and take a look at the forum terms and rules. This covers all you need to know when getting started.

For the first week you will be restricted to ten posts per day but after that you can post as much as you like. Also, until you’ve posted fifteen times in the forums, you’ll be a “Junior Bum” with somewhat restricted access and will be allowed only two private messages per day.

Good luck in your pursuits and best wishes to you,

Marblehead and the TDB team

Hi Jerry,

As I always recommend; leave the fucking drugs alone.  And yes, a life philosophy is useless if we cannot apply its teachings to our every-day life.  We do studies here that help in this area of understanding.

You are welcome to jump right in ongoing discussions, revive an older thread, start a new thread of your own, or start a discussion in the "Newcomer Corner" sub-forms to expand on your introduction or ask general questions to help you get started.

May you enjoy your time here.

Can you explain what Chi Kung is? Thank you so much for the offer.

Its a kind of system of spiritual growth that works to expand consciousness via circulating energies in the body. The particular one i am offering is a movement system. This is a simple video example of a type of chi kung, try it and see if you like it.

Looks beautiful, but I don't have access to a DVD player.
