Just saying hi :)

 

I have been practising meditation for a few years, trying to recover from mental illness (schizophrenia). So far so good, don't think I will have a relapse anymore, but kind of feel stuck with development for some time now. I prefer this over time at the hospital, but I can imagine this year will be better for me.

 

Have been viewing this forum for a while and some of the things posted really interest me and get me thinking or motivate me to do better.

Well, it would feel great to say I've recovered completely, and I haven't had the extremely out of line behaviour return since my last time at the hospital in 2010.. However, I notice the negative symptoms still occurring often, especially since having tapered off the meds: lack of motivation, apathy, social withdrawal. Although it seems like my immediate environment doesn't notice that as much and probably think I've made more progress than I really have. All in all it's going quite well, but I should work smarter/harder than I currently do.. Thank you for the warm welcome!
