How many times have I mentioned about mitochondria when I talked about Qigong? Now someone like @zerostao is really paid a lot attention to it.

When you first arrived here on TDB, you caught my attention with your commentary about ATP.

I've always appreciated your perspective and candor.

Not sure if it's comparable to this but I practice a method called turtle-crane breathing.

My teacher told us it was a longevity practice.

Yes, breathing is Qigong and it is what longevity is all about. People should get wise about it by now!

@ChiDragon

Dragons know a thing or two about longevity.

Of course I must include the Grandmaster of Fire Dragon

While it is Not the literal cartoon fire breathing dragon

What it is--physically demanding for starters.

What it accomplishes-powerful fast explosive movements and transitions.

That's the Fire

In the video, Lu Juan Zi performed, I think at age 116 or 117. His lifespan, 120, give or take a year .

Certainly an inspiration and exemplar example.

And while, it is labeled baguazhang, sure, it has Fire Palm, yet, not your typical baguazhang, contrasting the flowing circular familiar baguazhangs with highly advanced specialized kicks, transitions, that I mentioned above, which produces internal spiraling fiery energies that lead to intense physical development.

I consider it Taiyi. Or a bridge between Taiyi and Baguazhang.

Very Daoist

TFA (totally fucking awesome)

And why not add a Singing Dragon to this post.

Got Qigong?

:)

Yes, moments performing with slow motion while breathing deep into the LDT. That is Qigong. One might call it something else, but it was still Qigong. Whether you like it or not. All will benefit from it into the journey of longevity. Thanks!
